अयुतं साध्यनामाढ्यं स वश्यो जायते ध्रुवम्
Ten thousand times for the desired goal; he surely becomes wealthy and obedient.
तावज्जप्त्वा च सप्ताहान्महारोगात्प्रमुच्यते
By reciting thus for seven days, one is freed from severe disease.
सर्ववार्गीश्वरेत्यन्ते प्रवदेदीश्वरेत्यथ
At the end, one should say 'lord of all categories', then 'lord'.
बोधयद्वितवान्तो ऽयं मन्त्रस्तारादिरीरितः
This mantra, declared by Tara and others, is explained as having two parts.
देवता स्याद्धयग्रीवो वागैश्वर्यप्रदो विभुः
The deity is Hayagriva, the mighty giver of mastery in speech.
तुषाराद्रिसमच्छायं तुलसीदामभूषितम्
His form is as radiant as the snowy mountain, adorned with a garland of tulasi.
ध्यात्वैवं प्रजपेन्मन्त्रमयुतं तद्दशांशतः
Meditating thus, one should recite the mantra ten thousand times, then perform one-tenth as oblation.
पूजयेद्वेष्णवे पीठे मूर्तिं संकल्प्य मूलतः
One should worship the image of Vishnu, conceived at the root, on a seat.
सनन्दनं च सनकं श्रियं च पृथिवीं तथा
Sanandana, Sanaka, Shri, and also the Earth.
निरुक्तं ज्योतिषं पश्चाद्यजेद्व्याकरणं ततः
After Nirukta and Jyotisha, one should worship Vyakarana.
ततो ऽष्टदलमूले तु मातरो ऽष्टौ समर्चयेत्
Then, at the root of the eight-petaled lotus, he should worship the eight Mothers.
दलाग्रेष्यर्चयेत्पश्चात्साधकश्चाष्टभैरवान्
Afterwards, at the tips of the petals, the practitioner should worship the eight Bhairavas.
बटुकं कालदमनं दन्तुरं विकटं तथा
Baṭuka, Kāladamana, Dantura, and likewise Vikaṭa,
शङ्खं चक्रं गदां पद्मं नन्दकं शार्ङ्गमेव च
Śaṅkha, Cakra, Gadā, Padma, Nandaka, and also Śārṅga,
वज्राद्यांस्तद्बहिश्चेष्ट्वाद्वारेषु च ततः क्रमात्
And Vajra and others outside them, and then, in order, at the entrances.
समस्तप्रकटाद्याश्च योगिन्यस्तद्बहिर्भवेत्
Outside them are the Yoginīs beginning with Prakaṭā, all together.
तद्बाह्ये पर्वतानष्टौ नक्षत्राणि च तद्बहिः
Outside them are eight mountains, and beyond them, the stars.
वागीश्वरसमो वाचि धनैर्धनपतिर्भवेत्
In speech, he becomes equal to the lord of speech; in wealth, he becomes the lord of wealth.
अष्टोत्तरसहस्रं तु शुद्धं वार्यभिमन्त्रितम्
One thousand and eight times, pure water should be consecrated with mantra.
जन्ममूको ऽपि स नरो वाक्सिद्धिं लभते ध्रुवम्
Even a man born mute certainly attains perfection of speech.
चन्द्रसूर्योपरागे तु पात्रे रुक्ममये क्षिपेत्
At the time of a lunar or solar eclipse, he should pour it into a golden vessel.
स्पर्शाद्विमोक्षपर्यन्तं प्रजपेन्मन्त्रमादरात्
From touching until releasing, he should recite the mantra with reverence.
ज्योतिष्मतीलताबीजं दिनेष्वेकैकवर्द्धितम्
The seed of the Jyotiṣmatī creeper should be increased by one each day.
सरस्वत्यवतारो ऽसौ सत्यं स्याद्भुवि मानवः
He becomes a true incarnation of Sarasvatī on earth.
सर्ववेदागमादीनां व्याख्याता ज्ञानवान् भवेत्
He becomes a wise expounder of all the Vedas, Āgamas, and other scriptures.
येषामाराधनान्मर्त्यास्तरन्ति भवसागरम्
By whose worship mortals cross the ocean of worldly existence.
गाणपत्येषु सौरेषु शाक्तशैवेष्वभीष्टदम्
In Gāṇapatya, Saura, Śākta, and Śaiva rites, they grant all desired results.
गाणपत्यादिमन्त्रेभ्यः कोटिकोटिगुणाधिकाः
Compared to the Gāṇapatya and other mantras, these are a hundred million times more powerful.
रामाय हृदयान्तो ऽयं महाघौधविनाशनः
This is the innermost essence for Rama, the destroyer of great sins.
ब्रह्महत्यासहस्राणि ज्ञाताज्ञातकृतानि च
Thousands of acts of killing a Brahmin, both known and unknown, are included.
