छन्दो ऽनुष्टुब्देवतादिवराहः समुदीरितः
The meter is Anuṣṭubh; the deity is Adi Varaha, as has been declared.
शिखा तेजो ऽधिपतये विश्वरूपाय वर्म च
The crest is for the Lord of Radiance; the armor is for the All-formed One.
अथवा गिरिषट्सप्तबाणैर्वसुभिरक्षरैः
Alternatively, with the six mountains, seven arrows, and the Vasus as syllables—
ततौ ध्यायेदनेकार्कनिभमादिवराहकम्
Then, one should meditate on the primordial Varaha, shining like many suns.
इष्टाभीतिगदाशङ्खचक्रशक्त्यसिखेटकान्
Desired objects, the mace, conch, discus, spear, sword, and shield—
एवं ध्यात्वा जपेल्लक्षं दशांशं सरसीरुहैः
Having meditated thus, one should recite one hundred thousand times, offering a tenth part with lotuses.
मूलेन मूर्तिं सङ्कल्प्य तस्यां सम्पूजयेद्विभुम्
Conceiving the form at the root, one should worship the Lord therein.
जपादेवावर्नि दद्याद्धनं धान्यं महीं श्रियम्
To the deity invoked by recitation, one should give wealth, grain, land, and prosperity.
शिलां शुद्धां विनिक्षिप्य स्पृष्ट्वा तामयुतं जपेत्
Placing a pure stone and touching it, one should recite ten thousand times.
भूतप्रेताहिचौरादिकृतां बाधां निवारयेत्
He removes afflictions caused by spirits, ghosts, and thieves.
मन्त्रितां मूलमन्त्रेण विभजेत्तां त्रिधा पुनः
Having empowered it with the root-mantra, one should divide it into three parts again.
गोदुग्धे परमालोड्य शोधितांस्तन्दुलान् क्षिपेत्
Mixing it thoroughly in cow's milk, one should add purified rice grains.
अवतार्य चरुं पश्चाद्वह्नौ देयं यथाविधि
After preparing the oblation, it should then be offered into the fire according to the proper rule.
जुहुयात्संस्कृते वह्नौ अष्टोत्तरशतं सुधीः
The wise should offer one hundred and eight times into the consecrated fire.
विरोधो नश्यति क्षेत्रे शत्रुचौराद्युपद्रवाः
Hostility in the field, and troubles from enemies and thieves, are destroyed.
आदाय पूर्वविधिना हविरापाद्य पूर्ववत्
Taking the oblation as before, one should prepare it as previously described.
एवं स सप्तारवारेषु जुहुयात्क्षेत्रसिद्धये
In this way, one should offer for seven days to achieve success in the field.
अभीष्टभूम्याधिपत्यं लभते नात्र संशयः
He attains the desired lordship over land; there is no doubt about this.
स्वर्णाभं पार्थिवे पीते मण्डले सुसमाहितः
With steady concentration, one should meditate on the golden-hued form within the earth-colored circle.
वारुणे मण्डले ध्यायेद्वाराहं हिमसन्निभघम्
Within the water circle, one should meditate on Varaha, resembling the color of snow.
वश्यार्थं च सदा ध्यायेद्वर्ह्याभं वह्निमण्डे
For the purpose of subjugation, one should always meditate on the fire-colored form within the fire circle.
ह्यमण्डलगतं स्वच्छं वाराहं सर्वसिद्धिदम्
Indeed, within the air circle, one should meditate on the clear form of Varaha, bestower of all accomplishments.
भग्वर्धीशयुतं व्योमबिन्दुभूषितमस्तकम्
With the Lord of Speech joined, and the head adorned with a dot of the sky,
पूजाद्यार्ध्यादिकं सर्वमस्यां पूर्वोक्तवञ्चरेत्
All acts of worship, offerings, and the like should be performed here as previously described.
ताराद्यो वसुवर्णो ऽयं सर्वैश्वर्यप्रदायकः
This one, beginning with the syllable 'ta', is of golden color and bestows all sovereignty.
देवश्चन्द्रेद्वब्धिनेत्रैः सवेणाङ्गक्रिया मता
The deity is considered to have two eyes like the moon and the ocean, with all limbs complete.
धरणिद्वितयं पश्चाद्धरेर्द्वयमुदीरयेत् धरणिद्वितयं पश्चाद्धरेर्द्वयमुदीरयेत्
Behind, two forms of the earth should be visualized, and then two forms of Hari.
वराहो ऽस्य मुनिश्छन्दो गायत्री निवृदादिका वराहो ऽस्य मुनिश्छन्दो गायत्री निवृदादिका
For this, the meter is Varaha, the sage is Gayatri, and the beginning is nivṛtti and others.
रामवेदाग्निबाणाक्षिनेत्रार्णैरङ्गरकल्पनम् रामवेदाग्निबाणाक्षिनेवार्णैरङ्गकल्पनम्
The limbs are to be conceived with the syllables of Rama, Veda, Agni, arrow, and eye.
नीलांबुजद्वयं शालिमञ्जरीं च शुक्रं करैः नीलांबुजद्वयं शालिमञ्जरीञ्च शुकं करैः
With the hands, two blue lotuses, a cluster of rice, and a white lotus should be visualized.
