Narada Purana
केशवः कीर्तिसंयुक्तः कान्त्या नारायणस्तथा
Keśava, endowed with fame, and likewise Nārāyaṇa with radiance,
विष्णुस्तु धृतिसंयुक्तः शान्तियुङ्मधुसूदनः
Viṣṇu, united with fortitude, and Madhusūdana with peace,
श्रीधरो मेधया युक्तो हृषीकिशश्च हर्षया
Śrīdhara, endowed with intelligence, and Hṛṣīkeśa with joy,
वासुदेवश्च लक्ष्मीयुक् संकर्षणसरस्वती
Vāsudeva, together with Lakṣmī, Saṅkarṣaṇa with Sarasvatī,
चक्री जयायुतः पश्चाद्गदी दुर्गासमन्वितः
Cakrī, accompanied by Jaya, and behind him Gadī, united with Durgā,
शङ्खी चण्डासमायुक्तो हली वाणीसमायुतः
Śaṅkhī, together with Caṇḍā, Halī, united with Vāṇī,
पाशी विरजया युक्तो कुशी विश्वासमन्वितः
Pāśī, endowed with Virajā, Kuśī, accompanied by Viśvāsa,
निन्दी स्मृत्या समायुक्तो नरो वृद्ध्या समन्वितः
Nindī, united with Smṛti, and Nara, together with Vṛddhi,
कृष्णो बुद्ध्या युतः सत्यो भुक्त्या मुक्त्याथ सात्वतः
Kṛṣṇa, endowed with wisdom; Satya, with enjoyment and liberation, and Sātvata,
भूधरः क्लेदिनीयुक्तो विश्वमूर्तिश्च क्लिन्नया
Bhūdhara, united with Kledinī, and Viśvamūrti with Klinnā.
बली तु परया युक्तो बलानुजपरायणे
Bali, endowed with supreme power, is devoted to the service of those who follow strength.
हंसः प्रभासमायुक्तो वराहो निशया युतः
The Hamsa, joined with brilliance, and the Varaha, united with night.
केशवादिमातृकाया मुनिर्नारायणो मतः
The sage Narayana is regarded as the maternal origin of Kesava and others.
चक्राद्यायुधसंयुक्तं कुंभादर्शधरं हरिम्
Hari, equipped with weapons such as the discus, holding a pot and a mirror.
एवं ध्यात्वा न्यसेच्छक्तिं श्रीकामपुटिताक्षरम्
Having meditated thus, one should place the power upon the syllable inscribed with the desire for prosperity.
त्वगंसृङ्मांसमेदो ऽस्थिमज्जाशुक्राण्यसून्वदेत्
One should offer skin, sinew, flesh, fat, bone, marrow, and semen.
एक मौलौ मुखे चैक द्विक नेत्रे द्विकं श्रुतौ
One on the crown, one in the mouth, two in the eyes, and two in the ears.
एकं तु रसनामूले ग्रीवायामेकमेव च
One at the root of the tongue, and likewise one on the neck.
टतवर्गौं पादयोस्तु पफौ कुङ्क्षिद्वये न्यसेत्
The syllables ṭa and ṭa should be placed on the feet, pa and pha on both hips.
यादिसप्तापि धातुस्था हं प्राणे लं तथात्मनि
If all seven are established in the elements, ha in the breath, la likewise in the self.
पूर्णोदर्या तु श्रीकण्ठो ह्यनन्तो विजरान्वितः
With a full belly, the glorious-throated one is endless and accompanied by agelessness.
महेश्वरो वर्तुलाक्ष्याधींशो वै दीर्घघोणया
Maheshvara, with round eyes, is the lord, possessing a long nose.
स्थावरेशो दिर्घजिह्वायुग्धरः कुडोदरीयुतः
The lord of immovable beings, with a long tongue, bearing a pair, and joined with a hollow belly.
सद्यो ज्वालामुखीयुक्तोल्कामुख्यानुग्रहो युतः
Sadyas, joined with a flaming mouth, are endowed with favor towards those who are chief among meteors.
क्रोधीशश्चमहाकाल्या चण्डेशेन सरस्वती
Krodhisha with Mahakali, Candesha with Sarasvati.
त्रैलोक्यविद्यया युक्तो मन्त्रशक्त्यैकरुद्रकः
Endowed with the knowledge of the three worlds, the single Rudra of mantra power.
लम्बोदर्या चतुर्वक्रो ह्यजेशो द्राविणीयुतः
Lambodari, four-faced, the unborn lord, accompanied by Dravini.
मर्यादया लाङ्गलीशो दारुकेशेन रूपिणी
With propriety, Langalisha, with Darukesha and Rupini.
काकोदर्या तथाषाढी पूतनासंयुक्तो मतः
Kākodari and Aṣāḍhī are considered to be joined with Pūtanā.
मीनेशः शङ्खिनीयुक्तो मेषेशस्तर्जयनीयुतः
Mīneśa is accompanied by Śaṅkhinī; Meṣeśa is joined with Tarjayanī.
