अष्टास्रं च तृतीयासौ मन्वस्रं मृदुमव्रणम्
It should be octagonal; the third is the Manu-shaped, soft and without blemish.

Marked on the earth with the thread of the six-fold purification.
व्यर्कारचरलग्नेषु पापे चाष्टमवर्जिते
