या पौर्णिमा दिवा चन्द्रमती सानुमती स्मृता
That full moon day which occurs during the day is called Anumati.
सिनीवाली चेन्दुमती कुहूर्नेन्दुमती मता
Sinivali, Endumati, Kuhū, and Nendumati are so considered.
त्रेतादिर्माधवे शुक्ले तृतीया पुण्यसंज्ञिता
The third day of the bright fortnight in the month of Mādhava is known as sacred.
कल्पादिः स्यात्कृष्णपक्षे नभस्तस्य त्रयोदशी
The beginning of a kalpa is the thirteenth day of the dark fortnight in the month of Nabhas.
चैत्रे भाद्रपदे चैव तृतीया शुक्लसंज्ञिता

Others, being harsh, grant results and bestow the desired outcomes in actions.
दूर्वावर्णो वुधो जीवः पीतश्वेतस्तु भार्गवः
A being with the color of dūrvā grass is lunar; one who is yellow or white is of Bhārgava (Venus).
अद्रिवाणाश्च यस्तर्कपातालवसुधाधराः
Those who are called mountain, arrow, and those who support the underworld and earth—
त्र्येकाहयो नेत्रगोत्ररामाश्वद्ररसर्तवः
Three, one, horse, eye, lineage, Rāma, horse, taste, and season—
प्रहरार्द्धप्रमाणास्ते विज्ञेयाः सूर्यवासरात्
Their measure is to be known as half a prahara, calculated from sunrise.
आद्यः षष्टो द्वितीयो ऽस्मत्तत्षष्ठस्तुतृतीयकः
The first is the sixth, the second is ours, the sixth is the third.
सार्द्धनाडीद्वयेनैव दिवा रात्रौ यथाक्रमात्
By exactly one and a half nāḍīs each, during day and night, in their respective order.
नक्षत्रेशाः क्रमाद्दस्रयमवह्निपितामहाः
The lords of the lunar mansions, in order, are the Vasus, Agni, and Pitāmaha.
अर्यमार्कत्वष्टृमरुच्छक्राग्निमित्रवासवः

शिल्पकर्मकलाकूपनिक्षेपोद्धरणादि यत्
All that pertains to crafts, arts, wells, deposits, and extraction—
तिर्यङ्मुखाख्यं नवकं भानौ तत्र विधीयते
The nine called 'transverse-facing' are prescribed in the Sun there.
खरगोरथनौयानलुलायहयकर्म च
Works involving donkeys, cows, chariots, boats, fire, and horses—
