बन्ध्वस्तकर्मगैर्मन्दभूजैः प्रहौ मृतिः
If death is caused by weak planets, malefics, or debilitated planets, it happens in prison or due to bad deeds.
तोयमृतो रवीदृतुस्यातांया द्युभयोदये
If the Moon is in watery signs, or if the Sun is in Libra, death occurs in water.
मृत्युश्चाथ मृगे चन्द्रे कर्के मन्दे जलोदरात्
Death also occurs in the sign of Capricorn when the Moon is there; in Cancer, with Saturn, from dropsy.
पुत्रधर्मस्थस्योर्वन्धात्पापयोः सददृष्टयोः
If the Moon is in the house of children or dharma, and aspected by malefics or afflicted, she is barren.
स्त्रियां सपापे ऽब्जे द्यूने सिते मेषे रवौ तनौ
If a woman is with malefics in watery signs, in the house of fortune, with the Moon in Aries or the Sun in the ascendant,
यमे खेंऽगत्रिकोणर्स्थेः क्षीणचन्द्रांशुभैः सकृत्
If Yama (Saturn) is in the sky, in a trine or angular position, and the Moon is waning, death occurs at once.
रन्ध्रखाङ्गजलैः क्षीणेन्द्वारार्किरविसंयुतैः
By the fluids of wounds, holes, and limbs, when the Moon is waning and not joined with benefic or malefic rays,
धूमानिबन्धनैः कार्यः कुदनैर्मरणं भवेत्
When smoke is the binding factor, death may occur through evil means.
सौरेद्वारैः स्वांबुरवस्थैः क्षतक्रेम्यङ्गया ततः
Through Saturnine doors, with one's own water or bile prevailing, and with the body afflicted by wounds and worms,
यन्त्रोसीदुनतः क्षीणचन्द्रयुक्ते मृतिर्भवेत्
If the mechanism is weakened, and the waning Moon is present, death may result.
क्षीणेन्द्वर्ककुजैः खास्तांबुस्थैर्वारकरे मृतिः
When the Moon, Sun, and Mars are weak, and the watery signs are occupied by malefics, death occurs in water.
गुह्यरुक्कृमिशस्त्राग्निदारुजो मृत्युरङ्गिराः
Death arises from secret diseases, worms, weapons, fire, or wood, O Angiras.
लग्नध्यायास्त पःखार्कभौमचन्द्रनिशाकरैः
The ascendant lord, if joined with the Sun, Mars, or Moon, brings about death during their periods.
दृक्कोन्त्तरे तुर्द्धाविंशस्तत्पतिर्मृत्युपोपि वा
If the lord of the eighth is in the twelfth or second house, or with malefics, death or severe suffering results.
लग्नांशेशसदृक्स्थाने मृत्युर्योगेक्षणादिभिः
When the ascendant and its lord are in similar positions, death is indicated by the conjunctions and aspects.
शुभेक्षिते तु त्रिगुणः कल्प्यमन्यत्स्वबुद्धितः
If benefics aspect, the result is threefold; otherwise, it should be determined by one's own judgment.
बिन्दुतश्चिन्तनीयश्च यथोक्तो मत्युरङ्गिनः
The bindu point should also be considered, as previously described, for the death of the native.
देवपित्रतिरक्तोथ नारकान्कुर्युरष्टमे
If the eighth house is occupied by gods, ancestors, or blood, it produces hellish results.
तुङ्गगः सांदनूकेनुगतिः षड्रन्ध्रदृक्कपः
If exalted, with a friendly aspect, or moving toward benefic houses, and if the lord of the sixth, eighth, or twelfth aspects,
स्वोच्चस्थोंऽगे व्यये सौम्यभागे मोक्षो बलान्यतः
If in own sign, in the ascendant, or in a benefic house, liberation or strength is obtained accordingly.
पूर्वापरार्द्धैर्लग्नस्य सौम्ये वाच्यपनेजनिः
By the previous or later half of the ascendant, if a benefic is present, the result is to be declared.
ग्रीष्मोगेर्ऽके परै रम्यापनतांपृतुरर्कभात्
If the Sun is in summer, or with others, or in autumn, the result is pleasant or otherwise, as indicated by the Sun.
दृक्कैराद्यैः पूर्वमासस्तिथिस्तत्रानुपाततः
By the aspects of the lords, the month and tithi are to be determined accordingly.
त्रिकोणोत्तमवार्थन्तिलग्नं वा लभनाभने
If the ascendant is in a trine, exalted, or in the eleventh or ninth house, the result is ascertained.

With a face like a horse’s hoof, red garments, and a form like a water jar.
क्षुत्तृषार्तोदुग्धपटो लूनकुञ्चितमूर्धजः
Afflicted by hunger and thirst, wearing a milk-white cloth, with hair cropped and twisted.
