दुरुधरा चैव विधौ ज्ञेयः केमुद्रुमो ऽन्यथा
Kemudruma is to be known as difficult to bear in fate, otherwise.
नीरोगः शीलवान् ख्यातः सुवेषश्चानफआभवः
He is healthy, of good character, renowned, well-dressed, and free from affliction.
केमुद्रुमे ऽतिमलिनो दुःखी नीचो ऽथ निर्धनः
In the Kemudruma, he is extremely impure, unhappy, lowly, and poor.
सुकीर्तिर्निपुणं विद्वांसं धनिनं तथा
He is of good reputation, skilled, learned, and wealthy as well.
समन्दो धातुकुशलं तथा भाडंविदं मुने
He is intelligent, skilled in minerals, and knowledgeable about contracts, O sage.
कुर्यात्सज्ञोर्थनिपुणं नम्रं सत्कीर्तिसंयुतम्
He makes one skilled in meaningful matters, humble, and endowed with good reputation.
ससितोसुकवेत्तारं सार्किपोनभवं मुने
He is a knower of poetry, acquainted with ghee and honey, O sage.
सशुक्रे द्यूतक्रर्हेयो नृती द्यूति समन्दके
With Shukra, he is fit for gambling; a dancer and gambler in the company of Samanda.
सभार्गवेसमन्दे लुब्धकः क्रूरो नरो भवति नारद
With Bhargava and Samanda, the man becomes a hunter, cruel, O Narada.
कवौ स मन्दमन्दाक्षा व वनिश्रयवित्तवान्
With Kavi, he is slow, with gentle eyes, and wealthy in forest resources.
कुजज्ञेज्याजशुक्रार्किसूर्यः परिव्रजेन्नरः
If Mars, Jupiter, Venus, and the Sun are together, the man becomes a wanderer.
तत्स्वामिभिः परिदजितैः प्रव्रज्याप्रच्युतिर्भवेत्
Due to being defeated by their masters, there is a fall from renunciation.
जन्मपोन्यैर्यद्यदृष्टो मन्दं पश्यति नारद
Whatever is seen at birth, if it is with Manda, he sees, O Narada.
भौमार्कांशे सौरदृष्टे चन्द्रे वा दीक्षितो भवेत् अनेकसौख्यार्थगुणालग्ने सौम्यत्रये स्थिते
When the Moon is aspected by Saturn in the portion of Mars or the Sun, or when initiated, and when the three benefics are in the ascendant, there are many qualities and happiness.
बहूभुग्पदारग्नौ स्थिरधीः प्रियवाक्तथा
With many possessions, steadfast in mind, and sweet-spoken as well.
दान्तो रोगी शुभो ऽदित्यां पुष्यर्यजन्मा कविः सुखी
Self-controlled, diseased, auspicious in the Sun, born in Pushya, a poet, and happy.
पत्रे भोगी धनी भक्तो दाता प्रियवचा भगे
In Bhaga, he is sensual, wealthy, devoted, generous, and speaks pleasantly.
चित्रांबरः सुदृक्त्वाष्ट्रे न च धर्मदयापरः
With varied garments, good vision, skilled in crafts, but not devoted to righteousness or compassion.
शाक्रे धर्मपरस्तुष्टो मूले मानी धनी सुखी
In Śākra, one devoted to righteousness is content; at the root, proud, wealthy, and happy.
कर्णे धनी सुखी ख्यातो दाता शूरो धनी वसौ
In Karṇa, wealthy, happy, renowned, generous, heroic, and rich in cattle.
बुध्ने वक्ता सुखी कान्तः पौष्णे शूरो धनी शुचिः
At the base, eloquent, happy, charming; in Pauṣṇa, heroic, wealthy, and pure.
युग्मे स्रीद्यूतशास्रज्ञः स्रैणो ह्रस्वः स्वभे विधौ
In the pair, skilled in dice and governance; in Sraṇa, short; in Svabha and Vidhu.
धर्मी श्लक्ष्णः सुधीः षष्टे प्राज्ञः प्रांशुर्धनी घटे
Righteous, gentle, wise in the sixth; learned, tall, wealthy in Ghaṭa.
मृगे ऽलसो ऽटनः स्वक्षः परदारार्थहृद्धटे
In Mṛga, lazy, wandering, handsome, desirous of others' wives in Dhaṭa.
पूज्यो लुब्धो ऽधनसखो मेषादौ भास्करे जनौ
Honored, greedy, friendless at the beginning of Meṣa; in Bhāskara, among people.
बौधे कृतज्ञो जैवे तु ख्यातः शौक्रे ऽन्यदारिकः
In Budha, grateful; in Jaiva, renowned; in Śākra, attached to other women.
स्रीद्वेष्यः स्वजनद्वेषीनियरत्यः सधीयनः
Hostile to prosperity, hostile to his own people, inclined to improper conduct, possessing intelligence.
सेनानीः स्त्र्यर्थपुत्राढ्यः दक्षमैश्यः परिच्छदी
A commander, wealthy in sons for the sake of women, skilled, possessing authority and attendants.
स्त्र्याप्तार्थो मन्दशोकाढ्यो बन्धुद्वेषी धनाघवान्
Obtains wealth through women, rich in mild sorrow, hostile to relatives, and possessing little wealth.
व्यङ्गजार्थो खप्रसूको विधिमित्रो सुखत्रयः
Obtains wealth from the disabled, born in the sky, friend of fate, possessing threefold happiness.
