त्रिकोणगज आरार्क्योरस्ते वा सृज्यते ऽम्बया
If the ascendant is in a trine or quadrangle, or with Jupiter or the Sun, or is aspected by the Moon, the person is born fortunate.
पापदृष्टे विधौलग्ने ऽस्तेकुजे तु विनश्यति
If the ascendant is aspected by malefics, or is in the twelfth house, or with Ketu, the person will perish.
पापेद्यतायुर्भवति मासः सार्थैः परैरपि
If the Moon is afflicted by malefics, the lifespan is shortened, even if the month is otherwise auspicious.
तरुगेहे शुभे नीचे नैकस्थदृष्टौ लग्नेन्दुः
