पापैस्रिषष्टलाभस्थैः सुखी गर्भो रवीक्षितः
If the Moon is aspected by malefics from the sixth, eighth, or twelfth, but by the Sun, the pregnancy is happy.
गुर्वकारै विषमस्थौ वा युञ्जन्म प्रवदेत्तदा
If Jupiter or Saturn is in a difficult position or in opposition, then birth should be declared at that time.

ग्रहोदयस्थान्द्यङ्गांशान्पश्यति ज्ञे स्वभागगे
The knower perceives the rising and setting of planets and their limbs according to their own portion.
लग्ने चापान्त्यभागस्थे तदंशस्थबलिग्रहैः
When the ascendant is at the end of Sagittarius, then the planets possessing strength in that portion are considered.
सितारेज्यार्कचन्द्रार्किज्ञाङ्गेशोर्केन्दवो ऽधिपाः
Venus, Jupiter, Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, and Saturn are the lords of the respective limbs, beginning with the Sun and Moon.

If Jupiter is in Pisces, or aspected by the lords of Yama's gates, or joined with malefics at the junction of limbs, then such is the result.
धीनयोदपगैस्त्र्यंशैः पापास्तैरसिरोह्रदाः
If the weak ones are joined by malefics in the third part, then those planets are said to be the givers of death by sword or water.
व्ययेजो वामनयनं दक्षं सूर्यो विनाशयेत्
If the Moon is in the twelfth house, with a squint eye, and the Sun is in the south, then destruction is indicated.
मन्दे ऽस्ते मन्दभांशेङ्गे निषैकेब्दत्रये जनिः
If Saturn is in the setting, in a weak portion, or in the sign of birth, then birth occurs in the third year.
द्वादशाब्दे शशिन्येवं सुतावपि विचिन्तयेत्
In the twelfth year, as with the Moon, so also should it be considered for a son.
आधानेन्दुद्वादशांशा पापास्तद्राशिभिः पुरः
If at conception, the Moon is in the twelfth part, and malefics are in those signs ahead, then such is the result.
शशाङ्के जन्मभागादिद्वि घ्नमिष्टकलाः स्मृताः

If the Moon is full and aspected by benefics, O Nārada, the person will have a pleasing appearance.
पापदृष्टे यमे गुद्यां जन्माङ्गाजव्ययस्थिते
If the Moon is aspected by malefics, or is in the sign of Yama, or if the ascendant is afflicted, there is loss or destruction of the body.

When the ascendant is in a weak sign at birth, but is aspected by Mercury, the Sun, or the Moon, the person will have moderate fortune.
श्मशाने लग्नदृगसृग्राम्यस्थानेब्जभार्गवौ
If the ascendant or its lord is in the twelfth house, or in places associated with the dead, and Venus or Mars is there, the person is connected to such places.
शिल्पालये बुधो जन्म कुर्याद्बलसमन्वितः
If Mercury is in the house of crafts at birth, and is strong, the person will be skilled in arts and crafts.
