O sage among Brahmins, harm to the gods is not permitted even in many lifetimes.
Especially among the Brahmins, those who have gone are their helpers.
O Brahmin, that which was obtained was given to the king, to his own son, and also to his co-wife.
By the force of that sin, she became scattered, reduced to ashes, burned by your curse.
One who desires only personal gain does not attain respect; O twice-born, forgive the offense.
Because of whom, O Brahmin, one should abandon a deluded mind, more cruel than yours.
The chief among Brahmins spoke to the lord of the gods, who had created the body of delusion.
Therefore, there is no permanence in the worlds, nor among the beings crowded therein.
I shall give that to you out of affection, for you are most worthy of my reverence.
The task of the gods will be accomplished, and the delusion will be dispelled.
The earth, with its islands, is always filled with moving and unmoving beings.
Heaven is for living beings of virtuous deeds; hell is for those of sinful actions.
Then Brahma, after consulting with all the gods, O best of kings,
Hearing those words, Mohini, obedient to her father's command,
Gathered together with the priests, witnesses of the worlds of the gods,
Even with a hundred prostrations, the gods, with joyful hearts,
By the power of the eleventh day, the fate of all sinners is changed.
My husband, co-wife, and son have been made to go to Vaikuntha by me.
Just as the wicked day of Hari arises, those who honor me are born.
I request this, granting for my own benefit; for it cannot be otherwise.
By which even those stained with great sins become purified and reach the temple of Hari,
At midnight, for the benefit of the gods, Mohinī was created by the Creator,
And the breaking of the fast on the thirteenth day destroys the observance of the fast,
Those Ekādaśīs that are distinct are indeed observed by Vaiṣṇavas,
It is prescribed to be observed always, in both fortnights, according to the rule, as a vow of three days' duration,
On the twelfth day, the vow should be performed, with complete fasting from water,
The offering to Hari is prescribed, equal in measure to one's own food,
Those who are free from desire, at midnight, abandon the viddhā (mixed) Ekādaśī by the Yāmyā rule,
O sinless one, at the end of Yama's period, you should maintain the observance of that,
The lunar days are determined by the movements of the sun and moon, and the tenth day reaches its end,
