Surrounded by women and Vidyādharas, their eyes filled with tears,
He offered five jewels at her feet and spoke, bowing low.
On Malaya, the best of mountains, O king, with a Vaiṣṇava weapon,
Give the jewels to Mohinī for the purpose of adorning her arms.
Those with worn teeth become youthful again by wearing the jewel.
The donors, accomplished by a month's battle, have been subdued by your brilliance.
All the tributes and taxes have been accomplished by your brilliance.
O dear one, Bhogavatī, filled with Nāgas, has been conquered by me.
There too, many necklaces and gems were brought forth.
Having conquered them, I also won maidens of excellent beauty and radiance.
For the lamp-lighting ceremony at nightfall, ten crores of jewels were used.
After that, I went to the realm of Varuṇa, situated in the depths of the netherworld.
There, the god Varuṇa said: 'Remain under the authority of my father.'
Angered by my words, Varuṇa came forth to fight.
I defeated that lord of the waters with the weapon of Nārāyaṇa.
Having been defeated, he gave me ten thousand swift horses.
These horses, though deprived of grass and water, live for many years.
For the sake of a wife, Varuṇa gave her; and I brought that auspicious lady.
That place, my dear, is extremely difficult to reach in the three worlds.
Therefore, arise and examine the wealth acquired by my father's favor.
O dear one, if a son says, 'I have earned this fortune,'
Self-praise, my dear, should not be done by a son.
By the valor of the father, the son's accumulation of wealth increases.
A cloth filled with wind can carry a boat across the water.
In the same way, by the strength of the father, sons are endowed with brilliance and power.
Let him give or protect his wealth as he wishes, O best among mothers.
And that enchantress, O Brahmin, was the beloved daughter of King Vidhi.
Especially by you, merit was performed that destroys all doubts.
He rose up, joined by his beloved, and beheld those fortunes.
All those serpent maidens, together with Varuni, rejoiced.
