चतुर्थ उपसंहारः पादाश्चत्वार एव हि
The fourth is the conclusion; there are indeed four sections.
तृतीयो मध्यमो भागश्चतुर्थस्तूत्तरो मतः

हिरण्यगर्भोत्पत्तिश्च लोककल्पनमेव च

जम्ब्वादिसप्तद्वीपाख्या ततो ऽधोलोकवर्णनम्
Then the description of the seven islands, beginning with Jambudvīpa, and the narration of the lower worlds.
आदित्यव्यूहकथनं देवग्रहानुकीर्तनम्
The explanation of the arrangement of the Adityas and the recounting of the gods and planets.
अमावास्यानुकथनं युगतत्त्वनिरूपणम्
The narration of Amavasya and the exposition of the essence of the yugas.
युगप्रजालक्षणं च ऋषिप्रवरवर्णनम्
The characteristics of the beings of the yugas and the description of the foremost sages.
शेषमन्वन्तराख्यानं पृथिवीदोहनं ततः
The remaining accounts of the manvantaras and then the milking of the earth.
अथोपोद्घातपादे तु सप्तर्षिपरिकीर्तनम्
Then, in the introductory section, the enumeration of the seven sages.
ततो जयाभिलाषश्च मरुदुत्पत्तिकीर्तनम्
After that, the desire for victory and the narration of the origin of the Maruts.
पितृकल्पानुकथनं श्राद्धकल्पस्ततः परम्

The Brahmāṇḍa Purāṇa, which consists of four hundred thousand verses, is thus composed.
