कालकूटपदस्यान्ते विषभक्षणङेयुतम्
At the end of the word 'Kālakūṭa', the act of consuming poison is to be known.
स्वाहान्तमस्त्रमेतानि पञ्चागानि मनोर्विदुः
These five limbs of the mantra, ending with 'svāhā', are known as the weapon.
बालार्कायुतवर्चस्कं जटाजूटेन्दुशोभितम्
He shines with the radiance of ten thousand young suns, his matted locks adorned with the moon.
खट्वाङ्गं दधतं दोर्भिस्त्रिनेत्रं चिन्तयेद्धरम्
One should meditate on the Lord, three-eyed, holding a club in his hands.
हविषा जुहुयात्सम्यक्संस्कृते हव्यवाहने
One should properly offer oblations with consecrated offerings into the sacrificial fire.
मृत्युं जयविधानेन विषद्वयविनाशनम्
By the method of conquering death, one destroys both kinds of poison.
चिन्तामणिरिति ख्यातं बीजं सर्वसमृद्धिदम्
It is known as the wish-fulfilling gem, the seed that bestows all prosperity.
अर्द्धनारीश्वरः प्रोक्तो देवता जगतां पतिः
The deity is declared to be Ardhanarishvara, the Lord of the worlds.
त्रिनेत्रं नीलमणिभं शूलपाशं कपालकम्
He is three-eyed, shining like a blue jewel, bearing a trident, a noose, and a skull.
बालेन्दुबद्धमुकुटमर्द्धनारीश्वरं स्मरेत्
One should meditate on Ardhanarishvara, adorned with a crown bound by the crescent moon.
तिलैर्हुनेद्यजेत्पीठे शैवेङ्गावरणैः सह
He should be worshipped on the seat with sesame offerings, together with Shaiva coverings.
प्रासादाद्यं जपेन्मन्त्रमयुतं रोगशान्तये
At the beginning of the ritual, one should recite the mantra ten thousand times for the pacification of disease.
चन्द्रबिंबस्थितं मूर्ध्नि ध्यातं क्ष्वेडगदापहम्
Meditated upon at the crown, situated in the orb of the moon, it removes cough and club diseases.
रेफआदिव्यञ्जनोल्लासिषट्कोणाभिवृतं बहिः
Surrounded outside by a hexagon, shining with the consonants beginning with 'ra'.
पीडिताङ्गे स्मृतं तत्तत्पीडां शमयति ध्रुवम्
When remembered on the afflicted limb, it surely alleviates that particular pain.
तारो नमो भूतपदं ततो ऽधिपतये ध्रुवम्
The syllable 'ta', salutation, the word 'bhūta', then certainly 'to the Lord'.
विहरद्वितयं पश्चान्नरीनृत्ययुगं पृथक्
