घृतहोमादवाप्नोति तथैव तिलतन्दुलैः
He attains the same by offering ghee, as well as sesame and rice,
मण्डलाल्लभते लक्ष्मीं महतीं श्लाध्यविग्रहाम्
From the circle, he obtains great fortune, with a praiseworthy form,
जुहुयान्नित्यशो भक्त्या सहस्रं विकचैः शुभैः
He should always offer a thousand with devotion, using fresh, auspicious flowers,
चंपकैः क्षौद्रसंसिक्तैः सहस्रहवनाद्ध्रुवम्
With champaka flowers moistened with honey, a thousand offerings surely,
पाटलैर्घृतसंसिक्तैस्त्रिसहस्रं हुतैस्तथा
With pāṭala flowers moistened with ghee, three thousand offerings likewise,
कर्पूरचन्दनाद्यानि सुगन्धानि तु मासतः
Camphor, sandalwood, and other fragrant substances should be used for a month,
शालिभिः क्षीरसिक्ताभिः सप्तमीषु शतं हुतम्
One should offer a hundred oblations of rice soaked in milk on the seventh lunar days.
तिलैर्हुतैस्तु दिवसैर्वर्षादारोग्यमाप्नुयात्
By offering sesame seeds daily, one attains health for a year.
निरातङ्को महाभोगः शतं वर्षाणि जीवति
Free from affliction and enjoying great prosperity, one lives for a hundred years.
तेनायुःश्रीयशोभोगपुण्यनिध्यादिमान्भवेत्
By this, one becomes endowed with longevity, fortune, beauty, enjoyment, and merit.
आयुरारोग्यविभवैर्नृपामात्यो भवेत्तथा
Thus, a king or minister attains long life, health, and wealth.
दूर्वात्रिकैस्तु प्रादेशमानैस्त्रिस्वादुसंयुतैः
With blades of durva grass, measured by the span of the hand and mixed with three sweet substances,
तद्दिनेषु जपेद्विद्यां नित्यशः सलिलं स्पृशन्
On those days, one should recite the mantra daily, touching water.
पाकाद्यमपि तैरव कुर्याद्रोगविमुक्तये
One may also prepare food and other items with them for the removal of disease.
पिष्टं च साध्यपादोत्थरजसा च समन्वितम्
And with flour mixed with the dust from the feet of the accomplished,
प्राग्वच्छित्वायसैस्तीक्ष्णैः शस्त्रैः पुत्तलिकां हनेत्
As previously described, one should strike the doll with sharp iron weapons.
तथाविधां पुत्तलिकां कुण्डमध्ये निखन्य च
Such a doll should be buried in the center of the altar.
त्रिसहस्रं त्रियमायां सर्षपैस्तद्रसाप्लुतैः
In the three-night ritual, offer three thousand mustard seeds soaked in that essence.
वशयेद्वनितां हाएंमात्कौशिकैर्मधुमिश्रितैः
One subdues a woman with Kauśika mantras mixed with honey.
तथाज्यसिक्तैः कह्लारैः क्षीराक्तैररुणोत्पलैः
Likewise, with Kahlar flowers soaked in ghee, and red lotuses soaked in milk,
मधूकजैः प्रसूनैश्च हुतैः कन्यामवाप्नुयात्
By offering flowers of the Madhuka tree, one obtains a maiden.
माहिषैर्महिषीराजैरजान् गव्यैश्च गास्तथा
With buffalo products, one obtains buffalo cows; with goat products, goats; and with cow products, cows.
शालिपिष्टमयीं कृत्वा पुत्तलीं ससितां ततः
Then, making a doll of rice flour and sugar,
तन्मनाश्च दिवारात्रौ विद्याजप्तां तु भक्षयेत्
One should eat it, with mind focused, day and night, after reciting the mantra.
दासवद्वशमायाति चित्तप्राणादि चार्पयेत्
He comes under control like a servant, and should offer his mind, life-breath, and so on.
त्रिसप्तरात्रान्महतीमवाप्नोति श्रियन्नरः
In twenty-one nights, a man attains great prosperity.
क्षीराक्तैः सस्यसंपन्नां भुवमाप्नोति मण्डलात्
He obtains land rich in crops, moistened with milk, from the region.
बिल्वैर्दशांशं जुहुयान्मन्त्राद्यैः साधने जपे
One should offer one-tenth with bilva leaves, using mantras and proper recitation in the rite.
फणिदष्टमृतानां तु मुखे संताड्य जीवयेत्
He can revive those dead from snakebite by striking their mouth.
संताड्यशीर्षं सहसा मृतमुत्थापयेदिति
By suddenly striking the head, he can raise the dead.
