आरुरोह विमानं तत्षष्ठो राजा समांशभाक्
That sixth king, sharing in the merit, ascended the celestial chariot.

Having remained at the feet of Vishnu for three cycles of creation, one attains the city of Brahma.

Afterwards, one is born in the family of yogis, endowed with compassion.
दारुभिः कुरुते यस्तु तस्य स्याद्दिगुणं फलम्
Whoever constructs with wood, his reward is said to be twice as great.
स्फुटिकाभिः शिलाभिस्तु ज्ञेयं दशगुणोत्तरम्
With crystal or stone, the result is understood to be ten times greater.
देवालयं तडागं वा ग्रामं वा पालयेत्तु यः
Whoever protects a temple, pond, or village,
देवालयस्य शुश्रूषां लेपसेचनमण्डनैः
By serving the temple through plastering, sprinkling, and decorating,
वेतनाद्विष्टितो वापि पुण्यकर्मप्रवर्त्तिताः
Whether employed for wages or prompted by virtuous deeds,
ताडागार्द्धफलं राजन्कासारे परिकीर्तितम्
O King, the reward for a reservoir is declared to be half for a lake.
वापीशतगुणं प्रोक्तं कुल्यायां भूपतेः फलम्
The reward for a well is said to be a hundred times that for a canal, O ruler.
तयोः फलं समानं स्यादित्याह कमलोद्भवः
The result of both is equal, so declares the lotus-born.
भुवं तयोः समफलं प्राहुर्वेदविदो जनाः
Those who know the Vedas say that the earthly reward for both is the same.
दरिद्रः कुरुते कूपं समं पुण्यं प्रकीर्तितम्
If a poor man constructs a well, the merit is proclaimed to be equal.
स याति ब्रह्मभुवनं कुलत्रयसमन्वितः
He attains the realm of Brahma, accompanied by three generations of his family.
क्षणार्द्धं तस्य छायायां तिष्टन्स्वर्गं नयत्यमुम्
Standing in its shade for half a moment, he is led to heaven.
तडागग्रामकर्त्तारः पूज्यन्ते हरिणा सह
Those who create ponds or villages are honored together with Hari.
कुर्वते देवतार्थं वा तेषां पुण्यफलं शृणु
Hear the merit of those who do such works for the sake of the gods.
तावद्वर्षाणि नाकस्थो मोदते कुलकोटिभिः
He delights in heaven for as many years as there are tens of millions in his lineage.
प्रयान्ति ब्रह्मणः स्थानं युगानामेकसत्पतिम्
They reach the abode of Brahma, the single lord of the ages.
तेषां पुण्यफलं राजन्वदतो मे निशामय
O King, listen as I declare to you the merit gained by those acts.
वसेत्कल्पशतं साग्रं नारायणपदं नृप
He dwells for a full hundred ages in the abode of Nārāyaṇa, O King.
गङ्गामृतिकया चैव तस्य पुण्यफलं शृणु
Now hear the merit obtained by offering the nectar-like water of the Gaṅgā.
संगीयमानचरितो मोदते विष्णुंमदिरे
One whose deeds are sung rejoices, intoxicated with Viṣṇu’s delight.
