दाडिमैर्निधिसंसिद्ध्यै मधुकैर्गानसिद्धये
With pomegranate flowers for the accomplishment of treasures, and madhuka flowers for the accomplishment of singing,
शतपत्रैर्जयावाप्त्यै केतकैर्वाहनाप्तये
With lotus flowers for the attainment of victory, and ketaka flowers for the attainment of vehicles.
पूजयेन्मासमात्रं वा द्विगुणं त्रिगुणं तु वा
One should worship for a month, or for twice or thrice that duration.
सचक्रपरिवारां तां देवीं सलिलमध्यगाम्
That goddess, surrounded by her retinue and Indra, abiding in the midst of water—
घृतैः पूर्णायुषः सिद्ध्यै क्षौद्द्रैः सौभाग्यसिद्धये
For the attainment of long life, one should bathe her with ghee; for the accomplishment of good fortune, with honey.
सर्वार्थसिद्धय तौर्यैरभिषिञ्चेन्महेश्वरीम्
For the fulfillment of all aims, one should bathe the great goddess with milk.
निवसंस्तत्र तत्पुष्पैर्जायते मन्मथोपमः
Dwelling there with those flowers, one becomes comparable to Kāma, the god of love.
कृत्याः परेरिता मन्त्रा विमुखांस्तान् ग्रसंति वै
Spells sent forth by witches devour those who are hostile.
पूजयन्निष्टमखिलं लभते ऽत्र परत्र च
By worshipping, one obtains all desired ends here and hereafter.
पूजयन्मासमात्रेण प्राग्जन्माद्यैर्विमुच्यते
By worshipping for just a month, one is freed from sins of previous births.
विमुक्तसर्वपापौघैस्तां च पश्यति चक्षुषा
Freed from all heaps of sins, one beholds her with their own eyes.
मुच्यते पापकृत्यादिदुःखौघैरितरैरपि
One is released from the multitude of sufferings caused by sinful deeds and other sources.
भावयन्विषयैः पुष्पैः पूजयंस्तन्मयो भवेत्
Meditating with the flowers of the senses, worshipping, one becomes identified with her.
तत्तित्तिथौ तद्भजनं जपहोमादिकं चरेत्
On that sacred day, one should perform her worship, recitation, offerings into fire, and the like.
क्षौद्रं गुडं नालिकेरफलं लाजा तिलं दधि
Honey, jaggery, coconut, parched rice, sesame, and curd—
कामेश्वर्यादिशक्तीनां सर्वासामपि चोदितम्
—are prescribed as offerings for all the powers, beginning with Kāmeśvarī.
निवेदयेञ्च जुहुयाद्वह्नौ दद्यान्नृणामपि
One should offer them, make oblations into fire, and give them to people as well.
संपिष्य गुटिकीकृत्य ताभिः सर्वं च साधयेत्
Grinding them together into balls, with these one can accomplish everything.
भौमे रक्तोत्पलैः सौम्ये वारे तगरसंभवैः
On Tuesday, with red lotuses; on Monday, with tagara flowers—
नीलोत्पलैर्मन्दवारे पूजयेदिष्टमादरात्
On Saturday, with blue lotuses, one should worship the chosen deity with devotion.
पायसं दुग्धकदलीनवनीतसिताघृतम्
Rice pudding, milk, plantain, fresh butter, sugar, and ghee—
ग्रहपीडां विजित्याशुसुखानि च समश्नुते
Having overcome the affliction of planets, one quickly attains happiness.
दह्यमानां हृतस्वान्तां मस्तकस्थापिताञ्जलिम्
One who is burning, whose heart is stolen away, with hands joined and placed upon the head—
वायुप्रेङ्खत्पताकास्थपदा पद्मकलेवराम्
With feet on a lotus-shaped seat, with a body like a lotus, and a banner fluttering in the wind—
चिन्तयन्नर्चयेञ्चक्रं मध्ये देवीं दिगंबराम्
Meditating, one should worship the discus, with the goddess unclothed in the center.
अन्यैः सुगन्धिशेफआलीकुसुमाद्यैः समर्चयेत्
With other fragrant garlands, flowers, and the like, one should duly worship.
यावच्छरीरपातः स्याच्छापो वानपगास्य सा
Until the fall of the body or the removal of the curse, she remains so.
तथैव कैरवै रक्तैरङ्गनाः स्ववशं नयेत्
Likewise, with red lotuses, women may be brought under one's control.
मल्लिकामालतीजातीशतपत्रैर्हुतैर्भवेत्
By offerings of jasmine, mālatī, jātī, and hundred-petaled flowers, it is accomplished.
आरग्वधप्रसूनैस्तु क्षौद्राक्तैर्हवनाद्भवेत्
By oblations of āragvadha flowers anointed with honey, it is accomplished.
