षण्मुखा रविरूपा च माता दुर्गा दिशा तथा
She is six-faced, sun-formed, mother, Durgā, and the directions themselves.
अश्विनी च यमी वह्नि रूपा धात्रीति कीर्तिता
She is Aśvinī, Yamī, fire-formed, and known as Dhātrī.
अर्यम्णा च भगा सूर्या त्वाष्ट्रिमारुतिसंज्ञिका
She is Aryaman, Bhaga, Sūryā, and bears the names of Tvaṣṭṛ and Māruti.
वैश्वदेवी हरितभूर्वासवी वरुणा जया
She is Vaiśvadevī, green-earth, Vāsavī, Varuṇā, and Jaya.
उदुंबरा जंबुका च खदिरा कृष्णारूपिणी
The udumbara, jambu, khadira, and the one of dark form.
पक्षका च तथाम्बष्ठा बिल्वाचार्जुनरूपिणी
Pakṣaka, likewise ambaṣṭha, bilva, and the one in the form of arjuna.
वञ्जुला पनसार्का च शमी हलिप्रियाम्रका
Vañjulā, panasa, arka, śamī, halipriyā, and amrakā.
नागिनी सर्पिणी चैव शुनी चापि बिडालिकी
Nāginī, sarpiṇī, śunī, and also biḍālikī.
शार्दूली सैरिभी व्याघ्री हरिणी च मृगी शुनी
Śārdūlī, sairibhī, vyāghrī, hariṇī, mṛgī, and śunī.
नगा गौर्हस्तिनी चेति तथा षट्चक्रवासिनी

सोमा सूर्या तिथिर्वारा योगार्क्षा करणात्मिका

क्रोधिनी स्तंभिनी चण्डोञ्चण्डा ब्राह्मादिरूपिणी
Krodhinī, staṃbhinī, Caṇḍā, Uccaṇḍā, and the one in the form of Brahmā and others.
भौमाप्या तैजसीवायुरूपीणी नाभसा तथा
Bhaumā, āpyā, taijasī, vāyu-rūpiṇī, and likewise nābhasā.
पञ्चविंशतिवक्त्रा च षड्विंशद्वदना तथा
The one with twenty-five faces, and likewise with twenty-six mouths.
एकाशीतिमुखा चैव शताननसमन्विता
The one with eighty-one faces, and endowed with a hundred faces.
वृणावृत्तिस्वरूपा च नाथावृत्तिस्वरूपिणी
The one whose form is the function of vṛṇa, and the one whose form is the function of nātha.
तत्त्वावृत्तिस्वरूपापि नित्यावृत्तिवपुर्द्धरा
The one whose form is the function of tattva, and the bearer of the eternal form.
गुरुपङ्क्तिस्वरूपा च विद्यावृत्तितनुस्तथा
The one whose form is the line of teachers, and whose body is the function of knowledge.
मध्यमा वैखरी शीर्षकण्ठताल्वोष्ठदन्तगा
Madhyamā, vaikharī, and those that proceed from the head, throat, palate, lips, and teeth.
पदवाक्यस्वरूपा च वेदभाषास्वरूपिणी
The one whose form is word and sentence, and who is the embodiment of Vedic speech.
व्याकुलाक्षरसंकेता गायत्री प्रणवादिका
She whose sign is the varied syllables, Gāyatrī, and the origin of praṇava.
सिद्धसारस्वता मृत्युञ्जया च त्रिपुरा तथा
Siddha, Sārasvatī, Mṛtyuñjayā, and likewise Tripurā.
गौरी च देवी हृदया लक्षदा च मतङ्गिनी
Gaurī, the goddess, the one who dwells in the heart, the bestower of fortune, and Mataṅginī—
राजलक्ष्मीर्महालक्ष्मीः सिद्धलक्ष्मीर्गवानना
Rājalakṣmī, Mahālakṣmī, Siddhalakṣmī, and Gavānanā—
सर्वार्थसिद्धिदं प्रोक्तं चतुर्वर्गफलप्रदम्
This is declared to grant all attainments and to bestow the fruits of the four aims of life.
स यो गी ब्रह्मविज्ज्ञानी शिवयोगी तथात्मवित्
He who sings this, being a knower of Brahman, a yogi devoted to Śiva, and one who knows the Self—
लोकानुरञ्जनं नारीनृपावर्जनकर्म च
He gains the delight of the worlds and the power to attract women and kings.
त्रिरावृत्त्यास्य वै पुंसो विश्वं भूयाद्वशे ऽखिलम्
By reciting this three times, a man may bring the entire universe under his control.
फलत्येव प्रयोगार्हे लोकरक्षाकरो भवेत्
It indeed bears fruit when properly applied, and becomes a means of protecting the world.
भजन्त्येनं साधकं च देव्यामाहितचेतसः
Those whose minds are devoted to the goddess worship such a practitioner.
