कामात्क्रोधात्तथा लोभान्मोहान्मानान्मदादपि
From desire, anger, greed, delusion, pride, and even intoxication—
स्तैमित्याच्च सदा पान्तु प्रेरयन्त्यः शुभं प्रति
And from inertia—may they always protect, urging me toward auspiciousness.
तथा हयसमारूढाः पान्तु मां सर्वतः सदा
Likewise, may those mounted on horses always protect me on every side.
रथारूढाश्च मां पान्तु सर्वतः सर्वदा रणे
And those mounted on chariots—may they protect me everywhere, always, in battle.
भूतगाः सर्वगाः पान्तु पान्तु देव्यश्च सर्वदा
May the beings who go everywhere, and the goddesses, always protect me.
द्रावयन्तु स्वशक्तीनां भूषणैरायुधैर्मम
May they drive away (evil) with the ornaments and weapons of their own powers.
असंख्याः शक्तयो देव्यः पान्तु मां सर्वतः सदा
May the countless powers of the Goddess always protect me on all sides.
कदाचिन्नाशुभं पश्येत्सर्वदानन्दमास्थितः
May one never see anything inauspicious, always abiding in bliss.
यस्य शन्धारणान्मर्त्यो निर्भयो विजयी सुखी
By whose support, a mortal becomes fearless, victorious, and happy.
षोडशानामपि मुने स्वस्वक्रमगतात्मकम्
O sage, even among the sixteen, each possesses its own sequential nature.
नित्यक्लिन्ना च भेरुण्डा कीर्तिता वह्निवासिनी
Bherunda, ever moist, is praised as the one who dwells in fire.
नित्या संवित्तथा नीलपताका विजयाह्वया
Nitya, Samvit, Nila-pataka, and Vijaya by name.
चित्रा चेति क्रमान्नित्याः षोडशपीष्टविग्रहाः
Chitra and so on, in order, are the sixteen eternal forms endowed with desired shapes.
वशिनी चापि कामेशी मोहिनी विमलारुणा
Vashini, Kameshi, Mohini, and Vimala-aruna.
मुद्राणन्तनुरिष्वर्णरूपा चापार्णविग्रहा
Mudra, Ananta-nu, Rishvarna-rupa, and Chaparna-vigraha.
त्रिखण्डा स्थापनी सन्निरोधनी चावगुण्ठनी
Trikhanda, Sthapani, Sannirodhini, and Avaguntani.
नमस्कृतिस्तथा संक्षोभणी विद्रावणी तथा
Namaskriti, Samkshobhini, and also Vidravani.
उन्मादिनी महापूर्वा कुशाथो खेचरी मता
Unmadini, Mahapurva, Kushatha, and Khechari are known.
अणिमा लघिमा चैव महिमा गरिमा तथा
Anima, Laghima, Mahima, and also Garima.
भुक्तिः सिद्धिस्तथैवेच्छा सिद्धिरूपा च कीर्तिता
Bhukti, Siddhi, and also Iccha, and the one called Siddhirupa.
वाराहीन्द्राणी चामुण्डा महालक्ष्मीस्वरूपिणी
Varahi, Indrani, Chamunda, and the one of the form of Mahalakshmi.
रूपरूपा रसाह्वा च गन्धवित्तधृतिस्तथा
Rupa-rupa, Rasa-ahva, and also Gandha-vitta-dhriti.
कुसुमा मेखला चापि मदना मदनातुरा
Kusuma, Mekhala, Madana, and Madanatura.
संक्षोभिणी तथा विद्राविण्याकर्षणरूपिणी
Samkshobhini, Vidravini, and the one of the form of attraction.
स्तंभिनीजंभिनीचैव वशङ्कर्यथ रञ्जिनी
She is the one who paralyzes, agitates, brings others under control, and delights.
संपत्तिपूर्णा सा मन्त्रमयी द्वन्द्वक्षयङ्करी
That mantra-empowered goddess is full of prosperity and brings about the destruction of duality.
कामप्रदा निगदिता तथा दुःखविमोचिनी
She is said to grant desires and to free from suffering.
अङ्गसुंदरिका चैव तथा सौभाग्यदायिनी
She makes the limbs beautiful and bestows good fortune.
विन्ध्यवासनका घोरस्वरूपा पापहारिणी
She dwells in the Vindhya mountains, has a terrifying form, and removes sin.
जयिनी विमला चाथ कामेशी वज्रिणी भहगा
She is victorious, pure, the mistress of desire, wielder of the thunderbolt, and rides the swan.
