मण्डितां रक्तवसनां रत्नाभरणशोभिताम्
She is adorned, clothed in red garments, and beautified with jeweled ornaments.
पञ्चाष्टषोडशद्वन्द्वषट्कोणचतुरस्रगाम्
She abides in the pentagon, octagon, hexagon, and square, in their pairs.
पाशाङ्कुशौ च पुण्ड्रेक्षुचापं पुष्पशिलीमुखम्
She holds a noose, a goad, a white lotus, a sugarcane bow, and flower-tipped arrows.
ततः प्रयोगान्कुर्वीत सिद्धे मत्रे तु साधकः
Then, having mastered the mantra, the practitioner should perform the rites.
कामेश्वर्यादिरादिः स्याद्रसश्चापस्थिरारसः
The beginning is Kāmeśvarī and so on; the rasa is the stable rasa of the bow.
स्थिराशून्ये ऽग्निसंयुक्ते रसः स्यात्तदनन्तरम्
In the stable void, united with fire, the rasa is then established.
नभश्च मरुता युक्तं रसवर्णसमन्वितम्
And the sky, joined with wind, endowed with the color of rasa.
अंबहंसचरो ऽथिक्तो रसो ऽथ स्यात्स्थिरा पुनः
The rasa, moving with the swan, is then bitter; again, it is stable.
रसः स्थिरा ततो व्याप्तं भूयुतं शून्यमग्नियुक्
The rasa, then stable, pervades; again, the void is joined with fire.
रयः शून्यं चाग्नियुतं हृदाहंसाच्च तत्परम्
The ray is void and joined with fire; from the heart and the swan, that is supreme.
सचरः स्याज्जवीपूर्वविद्या तर्तीयतः क्रमात्
It moves, preceded by 'javi', the knowledge proceeds in order.
हृदंबुयुक् क्ष्मया दाहः सचरः स्याज्जवी च हृत्
With the heart joined to water, with earth, and burning, it moves; 'javi' is also in the heart.
स्थिरा तु मरुता युक्ता शून्यं साग्निनभश्चरौ
The stable one, joined with wind, is void, and moves with fire and ether.
दाहो गोत्राचरयुता तथा दाहस्तथा रयः
Burning, accompanied by the gotra-movement, likewise burning and likewise disease.
रसः स्थिरा ततः प्राणो रसाग्निसहितो भवेत्
Rasa is stable; then prāṇa arises, accompanied by rasa and fire.
शून्ययुग्मं च गोत्रा स्याद्वाहयुक्तांबुना चरः
The pair of void and gotra, or moving with vehicle and water.
गोत्रादाहमरुद्युक्ता त्वंबुन्यासमतो भवेत्
From gotra, burning joined with wind; equality with water is established.
ग्रासो धरायुतः पश्चाद्रसः शक्त्या समन्वितः
Assimilation, accompanied by earth; afterwards rasa, endowed with energy.
दाहोनांबु च हृत्पश्चाद्रयेंऽबुमरुदन्वितः
Burning without water, then in the heart, disease joined with water and wind.
वियदंबुयुतं दाहस्त्वग्नियुक्सयुतः शुचिः
Burning joined with ether and water, pure, accompanied by fire and decay.
तदन्तरित बीजानि स्वसंयुक्तानि पञ्च वै
The seeds, separated within, are indeed five, each joined with itself.
हंसश्चरयुतो द्विः स्यात्ततः प्राणो रसाग्नियुक्
The swan, joined with movement, is twice; then prāṇa, joined with rasa and fire.
व्योमाग्निसहितं पश्चाद्रसश्च मरुता स्थिरा
Afterwards, ether joined with fire, and rasa, stable with wind.
अंबु पश्चाद्वियत्तस्मान्नभश्च मरुदन्वितम्
Afterwards, water; then from ether, ether joined with wind.
हंसः सदाहो ऽम्बगुरसा चरस्वैः संयुतो भवेत्
The swan is always joined with burning, water, heaviness, rasa, and movement.
सप्तत्रिंशच्छतार्णैः स्यान्नित्या सौभागमालिनी
With three hundred and thirty-seven marks, she is ever adorned with good fortune.
ततश्चतृर्भिः शीर्षं स्याच्छिखा त्रिभिरुदीरिता
Then with four, the head is formed; the crest is declared with three.
अरुणामरुणाकल्पां सुंदरीं सुस्मिताननाम्
Resembling the reddish dawn, beautiful, with a smiling face.
कह्लारपाशपुण्ड्रेक्षुकोदण्डान्वामबाहुभिः
With blue lotus, noose, lotus, sugarcane bow in her left hands.
तथाविधाभिः परितो युतां शक्तिगणैः स्तुतैः
Thus surrounded on all sides by such praised hosts of powers.
