अनेन मनुना दद्यादासनं श्रीगुरुक्रमम्
With this mantra, one should offer a seat and the proper order of worship to the revered Guru.
पञ्चभिः प्रणवैर्मूर्तिं तस्यामावाह्य देवताम्
With five utterances of the sacred syllable Om, one should invoke the deity into the image.
तारावाक्छक्तिकमला हसखूफ्रें हसौः स्मृताः
The syllables tārā, vāk, śakti, kamalā, hasakhūphreṃ, and hasauḥ are remembered.
सृणिपाशधरां सौम्यां मदविभ्रमविह्वलाम्
One should worship the gentle goddess, holding a noose and goad, intoxicated and overwhelmed with passion.
अङ्कुशं प्रणतं दोभ्यां धारयन्तीं समर्चयेत्
One should honor her who holds a goad and a bow, with both hands extended in reverence.
इक्षुकार्मुकपुष्पेषुधारिणीं सस्मिताननाम्
One should worship her who holds a sugarcane bow and flower arrows, whose face is adorned with a smile.
दिक्ष्वग्रे च निजैर्मन्त्रैः पूजयेद्बाणदेवताः
At the edges of the directions, one should worship the arrow-deities with their respective mantras.
अष्टयोनिष्वष्टशक्तीः पूजयेत्सुभगादिकाः
In the eight yonis, one should worship the eight goddesses, beginning with Subhagā.
अष्टपत्रेषु संपूज्या यथावत्कुसुमादिभिः
In the eight petals, one should properly worship with flowers and other offerings.
पूर्वजन्मकृतैः पुण्यैर्ज्ञात्वैनां परदेवताम्
Knowing her as the supreme deity through merits earned in previous births,
एवं सिद्धमनुर्मन्त्री साधयेदिष्टमात्मनः
Thus, with a perfected mantra, the practitioner should accomplish his desired aim.
लक्षसंख्यं तदर्द्धं वा प्रत्यहं भोजयेद्द्विजान्
Every day, one should feed Brahmins in numbers of one hundred thousand or half that amount.
होमान्ते धनधान्याद्यैस्तोषयेद्गुरुमात्मनः
At the end of the fire offering, one should please the Guru and oneself with wealth, grain, and other gifts.
रक्तोत्पलैस्त्रिमध्वक्तैररुणैर्वा हयारिजैः
With red lotuses, three kinds of honey, or with reddish flowers from the horse cassia,
वाक्सिद्धं लभते मन्त्री पलाशकुसुमैर्हुतैः
The practitioner attains mastery of speech when offerings are made with palāśa flowers.
ज्ञानं दिव्यमवाप्नोति तेनैव स भवेत्कविः
He obtains divine knowledge thereby and becomes a poet.
दूर्वाभघिरायुषे होमः क्षीराक्ताभिर्दिनत्रयम्
For longevity, one should perform a fire offering for three days with dūrvā grass dipped in milk.
कह्लारैः पार्थिवान्पुष्पैस्तद्वधूः कर्णिकारजैः
With kahlāra flowers and earthly blossoms, and for his wife, with karṇikāra flowers.
कोरण्टकुसुमैर्वैंश्यान्वृषलान्पाटलोद्भवैः
With the flowers of the coral tree, one should subdue Vaiśyas and Śūdras born from the Pāṭala tree.
मन्त्रमुच्चार्य जुहुयान्मन्त्री मधुरलोलितैः
Reciting the mantra, the officiant should offer oblations with sweet and charming substances.
अनेनैव विधानेन तत्पत्नीस्तत्सुतानपि
In this very manner, one may also influence their wives and their sons.
नरनारीनरपतीन्होमेन वशयेत्क्रमात्
By the offering, one can gradually bring under control men, women, and kings.
जुहुयात्कवितां मन्त्री लभते वत्सरान्तरे
If the officiant offers poetry, he attains it within a year.
जुहुयाद्वाशयेल्लोकं श्रियं प्राप्नोति वाञ्छिताम्
If he offers, he may bring the world under his sway or obtain the desired wealth.
कस्तूरीकुङ्कुमोपेतं कर्पूरं जुहुयाद्वशी
Let the master of rites offer camphor mixed with musk and saffron.
लाजान्प्रजुहुयान्मन्त्री दधिक्षीरमधुप्लुतान्
The officiant should offer grains soaked in curd, milk, and honey.
पादद्वयं मलयजं पादं कुङ्कुमकेसरम्
Both feet with sandalwood, one foot with saffron and the filaments of the saffron flower.
विदध्यात्तिलकं भाले यान्पश्येद्यैर्विलोक्यते
He should apply a mark on the forehead with those substances by which he is seen by others.
कर्पूरकपिचोराणि समभागानि कल्पयेत्
He should prepare equal parts of camphor and kapiśa resin.
कुङ्कुमं समभागं स्याद्दिग्भातं चन्दनं मतम्
Let saffron be in equal measure; sandalwood, purified by the directions, is considered proper.
