बालोदितप्रकारेण मूर्तिन्यासमथाचरेत्
Then, according to the method described for a child, he should perform the installation of the form.
न्यसेद्वक्त्रे तत्पुरुषं मकरध्वजमात्मवित्
The knower of the self should place Tatpuruṣa and Makaradhvaja in the mouth.
गुह्यदेशे प्रविन्यस्येद्वामदेवादिमन्मथम्
In a secret place, one should install the mantras of Vāmadeva and others, associated with Manmatha.
ऊर्द्ध्वंप्राग्दक्षिणोदीच्यपश्चिमेषु मुखेषु तान्
Those (mantras) should be placed at the mouths facing upward, east, south, north, and west.
सद्यादिपञ्चह्रस्वाद्या बीजमेषां प्रकीर्तितम्
The seed syllable for these is declared to be the five beginning with Sadya and the rest, each with their own vowel.
पञ्चबाणांस्ततो न्यस्येन्मन्त्री त्रैलोक्यमोहनान्
Then, one should install the five arrows—mantras that enchant the three worlds.
क्लींवशीकरणीं वक्त्रे गुह्ये बॢं बीजपूर्विकाम्
The syllable 'klīṃ' for subjugation is placed at the mouth, and in the secret place, 'bḷṃ' preceded by the seed syllable.
संमोहनीं क्रमादेवं बाणन्यासो ऽयमीरितः
In this order, the mantra of enchantment is thus prescribed as the installation of the arrows.
नाभ्यधिष्ठानयोः पञ्च ताराद्याः सुभगादिकाः
Above the navel, the five beginning with Tārā and the rest, such as Subhagā, are to be established.
भगसर्पिण्यथ परा भगमालिन्यनन्तरम्
Then Bhagasarpiṇī, followed by Parā, and then Bhagamālinī, in succession.
अनङ्गमदना सर्वा मदविभ्रममन्थरा
All the forms of Anaṅgamadanā are slow with the confusion of intoxication.
अक्षस्रक्पुस्तकाभीतिवरदाढ्यकरांबुजाः
Their lotus hands hold a garland of letters, a book, a gesture of fearlessness, and a gesture of granting boons.
ततः कुर्याद्भूषणाख्यं न्यासमुक्तदिशा मुने
Then, O sage, one should perform the installation called Bhūṣaṇa in the prescribed directions.
सहस्रभानुसंकाशामरुणक्षौमवाससीम्
Clad in reddish silk garments, she shines like a thousand suns.
विद्यामभीतिं च वरं दधतीं त्रीक्षणाननाम्
She bears knowledge, fearlessness, and a boon, and has a face with three eyes.
पुष्पैर्भानुसहस्राणि जुहुयाद्बह्मवृक्षजैः
One should offer thousands of sun-like flowers from the Brahma tree.
पद्मं वसुदलोपेतं नवयोन्यष्टकर्णिकम्
A lotus endowed with wealth, new, with nine yonis and eight petals.
इच्छा ज्ञाना क्रिया पश्चात्कामिनी कामदायिनी
Will, knowledge, and action come after; the desiring one is the bestower of desires.
वरदाभयधारिण्यः संप्रोक्ता नव शक्तयः
The nine powers are declared to hold the gestures of granting boons and fearlessness.
दीर्घवान्यै परा पश्चादपरायौ हसौ युतः
After Parā, the long-sounding ones, and then the two others, endowed with 'ha' and 'sa'.
अनेन मनुना दद्यादासनं श्रीगुरुक्रमम्
With this mantra, one should offer a seat and the proper order of worship to the revered Guru.
पञ्चभिः प्रणवैर्मूर्तिं तस्यामावाह्य देवताम्
With five utterances of the sacred syllable Om, one should invoke the deity into the image.
तारावाक्छक्तिकमला हसखूफ्रें हसौः स्मृताः
The syllables tārā, vāk, śakti, kamalā, hasakhūphreṃ, and hasauḥ are remembered.
सृणिपाशधरां सौम्यां मदविभ्रमविह्वलाम्
One should worship the gentle goddess, holding a noose and goad, intoxicated and overwhelmed with passion.
अङ्कुशं प्रणतं दोभ्यां धारयन्तीं समर्चयेत्
One should honor her who holds a goad and a bow, with both hands extended in reverence.
इक्षुकार्मुकपुष्पेषुधारिणीं सस्मिताननाम्
One should worship her who holds a sugarcane bow and flower arrows, whose face is adorned with a smile.
दिक्ष्वग्रे च निजैर्मन्त्रैः पूजयेद्बाणदेवताः
At the edges of the directions, one should worship the arrow-deities with their respective mantras.
अष्टयोनिष्वष्टशक्तीः पूजयेत्सुभगादिकाः
In the eight yonis, one should worship the eight goddesses, beginning with Subhagā.
अष्टपत्रेषु संपूज्या यथावत्कुसुमादिभिः
In the eight petals, one should properly worship with flowers and other offerings.
पूर्वजन्मकृतैः पुण्यैर्ज्ञात्वैनां परदेवताम्
