यो जपेदादिमे बीजे वराहभृगुपावकान्
Whoever recites these seed-syllables of Varāha, Bhṛgu, and Pāvaka—
आदावन्ते च तार्तूयक्रमात्स्वं धूम्रकेतनम्
At the beginning and end, in order, one’s own smoke-bannered (seed).
यद्वाद्ये चरमे बीजे नैव रेफं वियोजयेत्
In the first and last seed, one should not join the 'repha' (the 'r' sound).
आद्यमाद्यं हि तार्तीयं कामः कामो ऽथ वाग्भवम्
The first with the first, the third with desire; desire, then speech-born.
जप्तो ऽयं शतधा शापं बालाया विनिवर्तयेत्
Recited a hundred times, this removes the curse from the young girl.
त्रिस्वराश्चेतनं मन्त्री धरः शान्तिरनुग्रहः
With three tones: consciousness, mantra, support, peace, and favor.
तथा त्रयाणां बीजानां दीपनैर्मनुभिस्त्रिभिः
Likewise, for the three seeds, by lighting lamps with three mantras—
वदयुग्मं सदीर्घांबु स्मृतिवालावनङ्गतौ
A pair of voiced letters, long, with water—memory, strength, and love’s attainment.
क्लिन्ने क्लेदिनि वैकुण्ठो दीर्घं स्वं सद्यगोन्तिमः
When moistened, in the moistening, Vaikuṇṭha; long, one’s own, immediately the last.
तारो मोक्षं च कुरुते नायं वर्णास्यदीपिनी
The tāra grants liberation; this is not a letter that kindles.
वागन्त्यकामान् प्रजयेदरीणा क्षोभहेतवे
Speech and desire are produced for the sake of agitation among enemies.
कामान्त्यवाणीबीजानि मुक्तये नियतो जपेत्
The seed-syllables of desire, end, and speech should be recited regularly for liberation.
दिव्यौघश्चैव सिद्धौघो मानवौघ इति त्रिधा
There are three kinds: the divine host, the accomplished host, and the human host.
कामेश्वरस्ततो मोक्षः षष्ठः कामो ऽमृतोंऽतिमः
Then Kāmeśvara, then liberation; the sixth is desire, the last is immortality.
ईशानाख्यस्तत्पुरुषो ऽघोराख्योवामदेवकः
The one known as Īśāna is that Purusha; the one called Aghora is Vāmadeva.
मानवौघाः परिज्ञेयाः स्वगुरोः सम्प्रदायतः
The groups of mantras are to be understood as transmitted from one's own teacher.
प्रादक्षिण्येन बीजानि त्रिवारं साधकोत्तमः
The excellent practitioner should circumambulate the seeds three times to the right.
बहिर्मातृकयाऽवेष्ट्य तद्बहिर्भूपुरद्वयम्
Wrapping with the outer Mother, then outside that, the two earth and city enclosures.
पत्रे त्रैपुरमाख्यातं जपसंपातसाधितम्
On the leaf, the Tripura is declared, accomplished through the successful recitation.
कामान्ते त्रिपुरा देवी विद्महे कविषं भहिम्
At the end of desire, we contemplate the goddess Tripura, the wise one, the shining.
तत्र क्लिन्ने प्रचोदान्ते यादित्येषा प्रकीर्तिता
There, at the end of the instigation, when moistened, this is proclaimed as Yaditi.
अथ लक्ष्म्यवतारो ऽन्यः कीर्त्यते सिद्धिदो नृणाम्
Now, another descent of Lakṣmī is described, bestowing success upon people.
भगवति माहेश्वरी ङेन्ते ऽन्नपूर्णे दहनाङ्गना
The goddess Māheśvarī is invoked, Annapūrṇā, the one whose body is fire.
धृतिश्छन्दो ऽन्नपूर्णेशी देवता परिकीर्तिता
The meter is Dhṛti; Annapūrṇeśī is declared as the deity.
मुखनासाक्षिकर्णांसगुदेषु नवसु न्यसेत्
One should place (the mantra) on the nine parts: mouth, nose, eyes, ears, shoulders, and anus.
भूमिचन्द्रधरैकाक्षिवेदाब्धियुगबाहुभिः
With earth, moon, mountain, single eye, Vedas, ocean, yuga, and arms.
स्वर्णाभाङ्गां त्रिनयनां वस्त्रालङ्कारशोभिताम्
Golden-limbed, three-eyed, adorned with garments and ornaments, shining.
लक्षं जपो ऽयुतं होमो घृताक्तचरुणा तथा
One hundred thousand recitations, ten thousand offerings, and oblations with clarified butter.
त्रिकोणा वेदपत्राष्टपत्रषोडशपत्रके
In the triangle, with Veda petals, eight petals, and sixteen petals.
अग्न्यादिकोणत्रितये शिववाराहमाधवान्
In the three fire and other corners, Śiva, Vārāha, and Mādhava (are to be placed).
