कामदेवः स्मरः पञ्च कीर्तितान्याससिद्धिदाः
Kāmadeva, Smara, and the five are said to grant success in the ritual.
द्राविण्याद्याः क्रमान्न्यस्येद्वाणेशीबीजपूर्वकः
One should place Drāviṇī and the others in sequence, preceded by the seed syllable of Vāṇeśī.
द्राविणी क्षोभिणी वशीकरण्याङ्कर्षणी तथा
Drāviṇī, Kṣobhiṇī, Vaśīkaraṇī, and Āṅkarṣaṇī likewise.
तार्तीयवाग्मध्यगेन कामेन स्यात्षडङ्गकम्
With the third, joined by the middle of Vāg, and by Kāma, it becomes sixfold.
ध्यायेद्रक्तसरोजस्थां रक्तवस्त्रां त्रिलोचनम्
One should meditate on her seated on a red lotus, wearing red garments, and having three eyes.
लक्षत्रयं जपेन्मन्त्रं दशांशं किंशुकोद्भवैः
One should recite the mantra three hundred thousand times, with one-tenth using Kiṃśuka flowers.
नवयोन्यात्मकं यन्त्रं बहिरष्टदलावृतम्
The yantra, consisting of Nava-Yoni, is surrounded outside by eight petals.
दलाग्रेषु त्रिशूलानि पद्म तु मातृकावृतम्
At the tips of the petals are tridents; the lotus is encircled by the letters of the Mother.
इच्छा ज्ञाना क्रिया चैव कामिनी कामदायिनी
Desire, knowledge, and action—these three, indeed, are the wish-fulfilling powers of the goddess of desire.
पीठशक्तीरिमा इष्ट्वा पीठं तन्मनुना दिशेत्
Having worshipped these seat-powers, one should assign the seat with its corresponding mantra.
प्रेतपद्मासनं ङेंतं नमोन्तः पीठमन्त्रकः
The seat is to be prepared in the form of a corpse or a lotus, and the seat-mantra should be recited inwardly.
आवाह्य प्रजपेद्देवीमुपचारैः पृथग्विधैः
Having invoked the goddess, one should worship her with various distinct offerings.
वामकोणे रतिं दक्षे प्रीतिमग्रे मनोभवाम्
In the left corner, Rati; in the right, Priti; in front, Manobhava.
मध्ययोमेर्हहिः पूर्वादिषु चाग्रे स्मरानपि
In the middle, Yomerhahi; in the east and other directions in front, also Smara and others.
सुभगाख्या भागा पश्चात्तृतीया भगसर्पिणी
Subhaga is the name of the portion at the back; the third is Bhagasarpini.
अनङ्गमेखलानङ्गमदनेत्यष्टशक्तयः
Anaṅga, Mekhala, Anaṅgamada—these are the eight powers.
दीर्घाद्या मातरः पूज्या ह्रस्वाद्याश्चाष्टभैरवाः
The Mothers beginning with Dīrgha are to be worshipped; the eight Bhairavas begin with Hrasva.
मलयं कोल्लगिर्य्याख्यं चौहाराख्यं कुलान्तकम्
Malaya, Kollagiri, Uhhara, and Kulāntaka are their names.
भूगृहे दशदिक्ष्वर्चेद्धेतुकं त्रिपुरान्तकम्
In the house and in the ten directions, one should worship Hetuka and Tripurāntaka.
एकपादं भीमरूपं विमलं हाटकेश्वरम्
Ekapāda, Bhīmarūpa, Vimala, and Hāṭakeśvara are to be worshipped.
तद्बहिर्दिक्षु बटुकं योगिनीं क्षेत्रनायकम्
Outside those directions, Baṭuka, Yoginī, and Kṣetranāyaka are to be worshipped.
भूतांश्चेत्थं भजन्बालामीशः स्याद्धनविद्ययोः
Thus worshipping these beings, the lord attains mastery over wealth and knowledge.
नन्द्यावर्तै राजवृक्षैः कुन्दैः पाटलचंपकैः
With nandyāvarta, royal trees, kunda, pāṭala, and campaka flowers—
अपमृत्युं जयेन्मन्त्री गुडूच्या दुग्धयुक्तया
The minister conquers untimely death with guḍūcī mixed with milk.
ज्ञानं कवित्वं लभते चन्द्रागुरुसुरैर्हुतैः
By offering candrāgura and other divine substances, one attains knowledge and poetic skill.
सुरभिक्षीरदध्यक्तांल्लाजान्हुत्वा रुजो जयेत्
By offering popped rice soaked in fragrant milk and curd, one conquers diseases.
चन्दनं केशरं मांसीं क्रमाद्भागैनिंयोजयेत्
One should successively mix sandalwood, saffron, and māṃsī.
श्मशाने कृष्णभूतस्य निशि नीहारपाथसा
At night, in a cremation ground, on black earth, in the path of mist—
विदद्ध्यात्तिलकं तेन दर्शनाद्वशयेज्जनान्
One should make a tilaka with that; by its sight, one subjugates people.
प्रयोजनानां सिद्ध्यै तु देव्याः शापं निवर्त्य च
For the accomplishment of aims, and to remove the goddess’s curse—
