एकाधशार्णः प्रथमो महाशङ्खार्चने मनुः
The first mantra for worship of the great conch has eleven syllables.
तारिण्यन्ते कपालाय नमोन्तो द्वादशाक्षरः
At the end, for Tāriṇī and Kapāla, bowing, is the twelve-syllable (mantra).
लोकपालाय हृदयं तृतीयो ऽयं शिवाक्षरः
For the guardian of the worlds, the heart; this is the third Śiva-syllable.
पालाय सर्वाधाराय सर्वः सर्वोद्भवस्तथा
For the protector, for the support of all, for all, and likewise for the origin of all.
रुधिरा रतिदीर्घा च वायुः शुभ्रानिलः सुरा
Blood, long-lasting delight, wind, pure air, and the gods.
तुर्यो रसेषु वर्णो ऽयं महाशङ्खप्रपूजने
The fourth, among the essences, is this syllable, in the great conch worship.
प्रपूरयेत्सुधाबुद्ध्या गन्धपुष्पाक्षतादिभिः
One should fill (the conch) with nectar-like understanding, with fragrance, flowers, rice grains, and the like.
वाक्सत्यपद्मागगने रेफआनुग्रहबिन्दुयुक्
With speech, truth, lotus, sky, and the letter 'repha' joined with the grace-dot.
अष्टकृत्वो ऽमुना मन्त्री मन्त्रयेत्प्रयतो जलम्
The priest, with concentration, should recite this mantra eight times over the water.
तत्र वृत्ताष्टषट्कोणं ध्यात्वा देवीं विचिन्तयेत्
There, meditating on a circle with eight and six angles, one should contemplate the goddess.
तर्जनूमध्यमानामाकनिष्ठाभिर्महेश्वरीम्
With the index and middle fingers, and the ring and little fingers, (one should meditate on) the great goddess.
खंरेफमनुबिन्द्वाढ्यां भृगुमन्विन्दुयुक्तया
With the letter 'kha', 'repha', and the dot, rich with the Bhṛgu-mantra and joined with the dot.
ततस्तेनार्धतोयेन प्रोक्षेत्पूजनसाधनम्
Then, with half that water, one should sprinkle the worship implements.
विधानमर्घे संप्रोक्तं सर्वसिद्धिप्रदायकम्
The procedure on the path has been declared, bestowing all accomplishments.
धरागृहावृते रम्ये देवीं रम्योपचारकैः
In a beautiful abode adorned with the earth, the goddess is to be worshipped with delightful offerings.
पाशाङ्कुशौ कपालं च त्रिशूलं दधतं करैः
Holding a noose, a goad, a skull, and a trident in her hands,
कपालशूले हस्ताभ्यां दधतं सर्पभूषणम्
Holding a skull and a spear in her hands, adorned with serpents as ornaments,
असिशूलकपालानि डमरुं दधतं करैः
Holding a sword, a spear, skulls, and a drum in her hands,
कपालं डमरुं पाशं लिङ्गं शंबिभ्रतीं करैः
Bearing a skull, a drum, a noose, and a liṅga in her hands,
अक्षोभ्यं प्रयजेन्मूर्ध्नि देव्या मन्त्रऋषिं शुभम्
One should offer the Akṣobhya mantra, auspicious and of the goddess, upon the head.
अक्षोभ्यपूजने मन्त्रः षट्कोगकम्
The mantra for the worship of Akṣobhya is the six-angled one.
शङ्खं पाण्डुरसंज्ञं च दिग्दलेषु प्रपूजयेत्
One should worship the conch, known as Pāṇḍura, in the petals of the directions.
विदिग्गताब्जपत्रेषु पूजयेदिष्टसिद्धये
On the lotus petals in the intermediate directions, one should worship for the attainment of desired success.
व्रजपुष्पं प्रतीच्छाग्निप्रियान्ताः प्रणवादिकाः
With vraja flowers, facing west, and those dear to Agni, beginning with the Praṇava,
भूधरश्च चतुर्द्वार्षु पद्मान्तकयमान्तकौ
The mountain and, at the four gates, Padmānta and Yamānta,
शक्रादींश्चैव वज्रादीन्प्रजपेत्तदनन्तरम्
Then one should recite the names of Indra and others, as well as Vajra and the rest.
पुत्रान्पौत्राञ्छुभां कीर्तिं लभते जनवश्यताम्
He attains sons, grandsons, auspicious fame, and the subjugation of people.
महोप्रतारे देवासः सनेत्रो गदियुग्मकम्
The great gods, with Netra and a pair of maces,
अभ्रगुमम जाड्यं च छेदयद्वितयं रमा
Ramā removes both cloud-born dullness and stupidity.
अनेन नित्यं पूजतिऽन्वहं देव्यै बलिं हरेत्
By this, one should worship daily and offer bali to the goddess every day.
