दशाश्वमेधिकं पुण्यं गङ्गाद्वारं तथैव च नन्दाथ ललिता तद्वत् तीर्थं मायापुरी शुभा
The holy Daśāśvamedhika, Gaṅgādvāra, and likewise Nandā and Lalitā, and the sacred site Māyāpurī are all auspicious tirthas.
तथा मित्रपदं नाम ततः केदारमुत्तमम् गङ्गासागरमित्याहुः सर्वतीर्थमयं शुभम्
Similarly, the place called Mitrapada, then the excellent Kedāra, and what is called Gaṅgāsāgara—all are auspicious and contain all holy sites.
तीर्थं ब्रह्मसरस्तद्वच् छतद्रुसलिले ह्रदे तीर्थं तु नैमिषं नाम सर्वतीर्थफलप्रदम्
The tirtha called Brahmasaras, likewise in the waters of the Śatadru, and the lake named Naimiṣa, bestow the fruit of all tirthas.
गङ्गोद्भेदस्तु गोमत्यां यत्रोद्भूतः सनातनः तथा यज्ञवराहस्तु देवदेवश्च शूलभृत्
The origin of the Gaṅgā is in the Gomati, where the eternal one appeared; likewise, Yajñavarāha and the Lord of gods, the bearer of the trident, are there.
यत्र तत्काञ्चनं द्वारम् अष्टादशभुजो हरः नेमिस्तु हरिचक्रस्य शीर्णा यत्राभवत्पुरा
There is that golden gate, where the eighteen-armed Hara stands, and where the rim of Hari's discus was once broken.
तदेतन्नैमिषारण्यं सर्वतीर्थनिषेवितम् देवदेवस्य तत्रापि वाराहस्य तु दर्शनम्
This is the Naimiṣa forest, frequented by all holy sites; there too is the vision of Varāha, the Lord of gods.
यः प्रयाति स पूतात्मा नारायणपदं व्रजेत् कृतशौचं महापुण्यं सर्वपापनिषूदनम्
Whoever goes there, purified in soul, attains the abode of Nārāyaṇa, having achieved great merit and the destruction of all sins.
यत्रास्ते नारसिंहस्तु स्वयमेव जनार्दनः तीर्थमिक्षुमती नाम पितॄणां वल्लभं सदा
There, Nārasiṃha himself, Janārdana, abides; the tirtha called Ikṣumatī is always dear to the ancestors.
संगमे यत्र तिष्ठन्ति गङ्गायाः पितरः सदा कुरुक्षेत्रं महापुण्यं सर्वतीर्थसमन्वितम्
At the confluence where the ancestors always reside by the Ganga, Kurukshetra is supremely holy, endowed with all sacred fords.
तथा च सरयूः पुण्या सर्वदेवनमस्कृता इरावती नदी तद्वत् पितृतीर्थाधिवासिनी
Likewise, the holy Sarayu, revered by all the gods, and the Iravati river as well, are abodes of ancestral fords.
यमुना देविका काली चन्द्रभागा दृषद्वती नदी वेणुमती पुण्या परा वेत्रवती तथा
The Yamuna, Devika, Kali, Chandrabhaga, Drishadvati, the river Venumati, and the supremely holy Vetravati as well.
पितॄणां वल्लभा ह्य् एताः श्राद्धे कोटिगुणा मताः जम्बूमार्गं महापुण्यं यत्र मार्गो हि लक्ष्यते
These are beloved to the ancestors and, in the context of śrāddha, are considered to yield ten million times the merit; the Jambu path is supremely holy, where the path is marked.
अद्यापि पितृतीर्थं तत् सर्वकामफलप्रदम् नीलकुण्डमिति ख्यातं पितृतीर्थं द्विजोत्तमाः
Even today, that ancestral ford grants all desired fruits; it is known as Nilakunda, the ancestral ford, O best of twice-born.
वंशोद्भेदं हरोद्भेदं गङ्गोद्भेदं महाफलम् भद्रेश्वरं विष्णुपदं नर्मदाद्वारमेव च
The splitting of the Vamsha, the splitting of Hara, the splitting of the Ganga, which yields great fruit, Bhadreshvara, Vishnupada, and also the gateway of the Narmada.
गयापिण्डप्रदानेन समान्याहुर्महर्षयः एतानि पितृतीर्थानि सर्वपापहराणि च
By the offering of piṇḍa at Gaya, so say the great sages, these are ancestral fords and also removers of all sins.
स्मरणादपि लोकानां किम् उ श्राद्धकृतां नृणाम् ओंकारं पितृतीर्थं च कावेरी कपिलोदकम्
Even by remembering them, what then for those who perform śrāddha, Oṃkāra, the ancestral ford, and the Kaveri with Kapila's waters.
सम्भेदश् चण्डवेगायास् तथैवामरकण्टकम् कुरुक्षेत्राच्छतगुणं तस्मिन्स्नानादिकं भवेत्
The confluence of Chandavega, likewise Amarakantaka, and bathing and such there is a hundred times more meritorious than at Kurukshetra.
शुक्रतीर्थं च विख्यातं तीर्थं सोमेश्वरं परम् सर्वव्याधिहरं पुण्यं शतकोटिफलाधिकम्
The holy place of Shukra, renowned, the sacred place of Someshvara, supremely meritorious, remover of all diseases, and yielding a hundred crore times the fruit.
श्राद्धे दाने तथा होमे स्वाध्याये जलसंनिधौ कायावरोहणं नाम तथा चर्मण्वती नदी
At śrāddha, in giving, in oblation, in self-study, in the presence of water, the descent of the body named, and likewise the river Charmaṇvati.
गोमती वरणा तद्वत् तीर्थमौशनसं परम् भैरवं भृगुतुङ्गं च गौरीतीर्थमनुत्तमम्
The Gomati, the Varana likewise, the supremely sacred Maushanasa ford, Bhairava, Bhrigutunga, and the unsurpassed Gauri ford.
तीर्थं वैनायकं नाम भद्रेश्वरमतः परम् तथा पापहरं नाम पुण्याथ तपती नदी
The sacred place called Vainayaka, then Bhadreshvara, and also the holy river Tapati, known as the remover of sins.
मूलतापी पयोष्णी च पयोष्णीसंगमस्तथा महाबोधिः पाटला च नागतीर्थमवन्तिका
Mulatapi, Payoshni, and likewise the confluence of Payoshni, Mahabodhi, Patalā, the Naga ford, and Avantika.
तथा वेणा नदी पुण्या महाशालं तथैव च महारुद्रं महालिङ्गं दशार्णा च नदी शुभा
Likewise, the holy river Vena, the great Shala, the great Rudra, the great Linga, and the auspicious river Dasharna.
शतरुद्रा शताह्वा च तथा विश्वपदं परम् अङ्गारवाहिका तद्वन् नदौ तौ शोणघर्घरौ
Shatarudra, Shatahva, and the supreme Vishvapada, Angaravahika, and likewise those two rivers, Shonagharghara.
कालिका च नदी पुण्या वितस्ता च नदी तथा एतानि पितृतीर्थानि शस्यन्ते स्नानदानयोः
The holy river Kalika, and likewise the river Vitasta; these are praised as ancestral fords for bathing and giving.
श्राद्धमेतेषु यद्दत्तं तदनन्तफलं स्मृतम् द्रोणी वाटनदी धारा सरित्क्षीरनदी तथा
Whatever is given in śrāddha at these places is remembered as yielding infinite fruit: the Droni, Vata river, Dhara, and likewise the river of milk.
गोकर्णं गजकर्णं च तथा च पुरुषोत्तमः द्वारका कृष्णतीर्थं च तथार्बुदसरस्वती
Gokarna, Gajakarna, and likewise Purushottama, Dvaraka, Krishnatirtha, and also Arbuda and Sarasvati.
नदी मणिमती नाम तथा च गिरिकर्णिका धूतपापं तथा तीर्थं समुद्रो दक्षिणस्तथा
The river named Manimati, and also Girikarnika, the holy place called Dhutapapa, and likewise the southern ocean.
एतेषु पितृतीर्थेषु श्राद्धमानन्त्यमश्नुते तीर्थं मेघकरं नाम स्वयमेव जनार्दनः
At these ancestral holy places, the offering to ancestors yields endless reward; the holy place called Meghakara is where Janardana himself resides.
यत्र शार्ङ्गधरो विष्णुर् मेखलायामवस्थितः तथा मन्दोदरीतीर्थं तीर्थं चम्पा नदी शुभा
There, where Vishnu, bearer of the Sharnga bow, abides in Mekhala, and also the Mandodari holy place, and the auspicious river Campa.
