न बृहस्पतिरप्यनन्तमस्याः फलमिन्दो न पितामहो ऽपि वक्तुम् न च सिद्धगणो ऽप्यलं न चाहं यदि जिह्वायुतकोटयो ऽपि वक्त्रे
Neither Bṛhaspati, nor Indra, nor Pitāmaha, nor the host of Siddhas, nor I myself, even if there were millions of tongues in my mouth, can describe the endless fruit of this.
भवत्यमरवल्लभः पठति यः स्मरेद्वा सदा शृणोत्यपि विमत्सरः सकलपापनिर्मोचनीम् इमां शिवचतुर्दशीममरकामिनीकोटयः स्तुवन्ति तमनिन्दितं किमु समाचरेद्यः सदा
Whoever, beloved of the immortals, recites, remembers, or always listens without envy to this liberating Śiva Caturdaśī, which countless heavenly maidens praise, what blame can befall one who always acts thus?
या वाथ नारी कुरुते ऽतिभक्त्या भर्तारमापृच्छ्य सुतान्गुरून्वा सापि प्रसादात्परमेश्वरस्य परं पदं याति पिनाकपाणेः
Any woman who performs it with great devotion, after asking her husband, children, or teachers, also by the grace of the Supreme Lord, attains the supreme abode of Pinākapāṇi.
फलत्यागस्य माहात्म्यं यद्भवेच्छृणु नारद यदक्षयं परं लोके सर्वकामफलप्रदम्
Hear, O Nārada, the greatness of the fruit of renunciation, which is imperishable and supreme in this world, granting all desired results.
मार्गशीर्षे शुभे मासि तृतीयायां मुने व्रतम् द्वादश्यामथवाष्टम्यां चतुर्दश्यामथापि वा आरभेच्छुक्लपक्षस्य कृत्वा ब्राह्मणवाचनम्
In the auspicious month of Mārgaśīrṣa, on the third day, O sage, or on the twelfth, eighth, or fourteenth day, one should begin the vow in the bright fortnight, after having a Brahmin recite.
अन्येष्वपि हि मासेषु पुण्येषु मुनिसत्तम सदक्षिणं पायसेन भोजयेच्छक्तितो द्विजान्
In other auspicious months as well, O best of sages, one should feed Brahmins with sweet rice, according to one's ability, always with proper gifts.
अष्टादशानां धान्यानाम् अन्यच्च फलमूलकम् वर्जयेदब्दमेकं तु ऋते औषधकारणम् सवृषं काञ्चनं रुद्रं धर्मराजं च कारयेत्
For one year, except for medicinal purposes, one should avoid the eighteen kinds of grains and other fruits and roots, and make Rudra and Dharmarāja with a bull and gold.
कूष्माण्डं मातुलिङ्गं च वार्ताकं पनसं तथा आम्रातकं कपित्थानि कलिङ्गमथ वालुकम्
Gourd, citron, eggplant, jackfruit, amrataka, wood apple, and the fruit called kaliṅga or vālukam.
श्रीफलाश्वत्थबदरं जम्बीरं कदलीफलम् काश्मरं दाडिमं शक्त्या कालधौतानि षोडश

One should, according to one's ability, have made of silver: a fig (audumbara), a coconut, two grapes, and two eggplants—these sixteen fruits.
ताम्रं तालफलं कुर्याद् अगस्तिफलमेव च पिण्डारकाश्मर्यफलं तथा सूरणकन्दकम्
One should have made of copper: a palmyra fruit, an agasti fruit, a pinda fruit, a kashmari fruit, and a surana tuber.

One should prepare two water pots, with grain placed above and covered with cloth; then, on top, arrange bedding with fine garments.
भक्ष्यपात्रत्रयोपेतं यमरुद्रवृषान्वितम् धेन्वा सहैव शान्ताय विप्रायाथ कुटुम्बिने सपत्नीकाय सम्पूज्य पुण्ये ऽह्नि विनिवेदयेत्
With three vessels for food, accompanied by a bull of Yama and Rudra, together with a cow, one should duly honor a peaceful Brahmin who has a family, along with his wife, and present these on an auspicious day.
यथा फलेषु सर्वेषु वसन्त्यमरकोटयः तथा सर्वफलत्यागव्रताद्भक्तिः शिवे ऽस्तु मे
Just as countless immortals dwell in all these fruits, so may devotion to Shiva arise in me from the vow of giving all fruits.
यथा शिवश्च धर्मश्च सदानन्तफलप्रदौ तद्युक्तफलदानेन तौ स्यातां मे वरप्रदौ
As Shiva and Dharma always grant endless fruits, so by giving these fruits accordingly, may they both grant me boons.
यथा फलान्यनन्तानि शिवभक्तेषु सर्वदा तथानन्तफलावाप्तिर् अस्तु जन्मनि जन्मनि
Just as the fruits are endless for devotees of Shiva at all times, so may I attain endless rewards, birth after birth.
यथा भेदं न पश्यामि शिवविष्ण्वर्कपद्मजान् तथा ममास्तु विश्वात्मा शंकरः शंकरः सदा
Just as I see no difference among Shiva, Vishnu, the Sun, and the Lotus-born, so may Shankara, the Soul of the Universe, always be mine.
इति दत्त्वा च तत्सर्वम् अलंकृत्य च भूषणैः शक्तिश्चेच्छयनं दद्यात् सर्वोपस्करसंयुतम्
Having given all this and adorned it with ornaments, if able, one should also give a bed furnished with all accessories.
अशक्तस्तु फलान्येव यथोक्तानि विधानतः तथोदकुम्भसंयुक्तौ शिवधर्मौ च काञ्चनौ
But if unable, one should give only the prescribed fruits, along with two water pots and two golden images of Shiva and Dharma.
विप्राय दत्त्वा भुञ्जीत वाग्यतस्तैलवर्जितम् अन्यान्यपि यथाशक्त्या भोजयेच्छक्तितो द्विजान्
Having given to a Brahmin, one may eat, keeping speech pure and avoiding oil; and, as able, one should also feed other Brahmins.
एतद्भागवतानां तु सौरवैष्णवयोगिनाम् शुभं सर्वफलत्यागव्रतं वेदविदो विदुः
The knowers of the Veda declare this vow of giving all fruits to be auspicious for devotees of Bhagavan, as well as for those devoted to the Sun, Vishnu, and Yoga.
नारीभिश्च यथाशक्त्या कर्तव्यं द्विजपुंगव एतस्मान्नापरं किंचिद् इह लोके परत्र च व्रतमस्ति मुनिश्रेष्ठ यदनन्तफलप्रदम्
O best of sages, this vow, which grants endless fruits, should be performed by women as able, O best of Brahmins; there is no other vow in this world or the next that surpasses it.
सौवर्णरौप्यताम्रेषु यावन्तः परमाणवः भवन्ति चूर्ण्यमानेषु फलेषु मुनिसत्तम तावद्युगसहस्राणि रुद्रलोके महीयते
O best of sages, for however many atoms are in the gold, silver, and copper when the fruits are ground, for that many thousands of ages one is honored in the world of Rudra.
एतत्समस्तकलुषापहरं जनानाम् आजीवनाय मनुजेषु च सर्वदा स्यात् जन्मान्तरेष्वपि न पुत्रवियोगदुःखम् आप्नोति धाम च पुरंदरलोकजुष्टम्
This removes all sins of people and grants long life among humans; even in future births, one does not suffer the pain of losing a child, and attains the abode enjoyed by Indra.
यो वा शृणोति पुरुषो ऽल्पधनः पठेद्वा देवालयेषु भवनेषु च धार्मिकाणाम् पापैर्वियुक्तवपुरत्र पुरं मुरारेर् आनन्दकृत्पदमुपैति मुनीन्द्र सो ऽपि
Even a poor man who hears or recites this in temples or in the homes of the righteous, O chief of sages, is freed from sins here and attains the blissful abode of Vishnu.
यदारोग्यकरं पुंसां यदनन्तफलप्रदम् यच्छान्तये च मर्त्यानां वद नन्दीश तद्व्रतम्
O Lord Nandīśa, tell me of that vow which brings health to people, bestows endless rewards, and grants peace to mortals.
यत्तद्विश्वात्मनो धाम परं ब्रह्म सनातनम् सूर्याग्निचन्द्ररूपेण तत्त्रिधा जगति स्थितम्
That supreme, eternal Brahman, the abode of the universal soul, is established in the world in three forms: as the sun, fire, and moon.
