Salutations again and again to you, who are the essence of the truth of holy places, who are beyond even that, who are the Rig, Yajur, and Sama Vedas, who are the syllable Om.

Assuming the threefold form in Om, abiding above, you are yellow, black, and red, of supreme brilliance.

Salutations again and again to you, who are established in the five stations, who are outside the five eggs in order, who are Brahma, Vishnu, and Kumara.
Salutations to you, the supreme Lord of Ambā, who surpasses all, whose form is the subtle root, who are both gross and subtle.
Salutations again and again to you, who are devoid of all intentions, who protect all, who are without beginning, middle, or end, who abide in consciousness.
To you who are always worshipped in every direction by Yama, Agni, Vāyu, Rudra, Water, Soma, Indra, and the night-walkers, together with their hosts.
Salutations to you, who are always worshipped everywhere, on every path, to Rudra, the blue-throated, the fierce, the wise, the great Lord, the manifest Shiva.
Forgive the various actions performed in the sacrifices of Makha, Madana, Yama, Agni, and Daksha.
Whoever recites this hymn with devotion, which is praised by the gods led by Indra and Agni, or has it heard by the learned, attains the supreme state.
When the lords of the gods stood, having thus bowed to the Lord, then Bhava, the Lord of Ambikā, the wielder of Pināka, the great Lord—
—at once cast his gaze upon those foremost gods; they bowed to Hara with reverence, their eyes moist with joy.
Bhava, with glances like nectar and ambrosia, looked upon them and said, 'May it be well with you, O lords of the gods,' thus spoke the great Lord.
'O Lord, you are looked upon for the sake of a boon; these gods have come home. Having bowed, the Lord of Speech, seeing the Lord, spoke without fear.'
'You are always entreated by gods and others for the removal of obstacles, for the accomplishment of all actions, by those who act against the gods.'
'Therefore, may you be gracious, O Bhava, the cause of proper and improper actions; this alone is our boon, for those who act against the gods.'
Then, having heard this, the Lord of gods who wields the Pināka, Śiva, assumed the form of the Lord of Gaṇas, the Lord of gods.
The leaders of the Gaṇas and the gods praised the great Lord, the auspicious one who is the source of all worlds and the remover of worldly suffering.
Then Ambikā bestowed upon Gajānana, the boon-giver, who is sheltered by the elephant face, who holds the trident and noose, and who is the origin of all worlds.
At that time, the Siddhas, great sages, celestial beings, and hosts of gods showered flowers; the gods praised Ekadanta, and, without fatigue, bowed to Gaṇeśa, the great Lord.
Then, from the two of them, a most terrible and embodied being emerged, who stood and danced as a child, the abode of all auspiciousness.
Adorned with wondrous garments and ornaments, Gajānana, the son of the great Lord, respectfully saluted his father and Ambikā.
Seeing his son newly born, the blessed Lord Bhava himself assigned all duties to Gajānana, the Lord of all.
Taking him in his own gentle hands, the great god, teacher of the world, embraced and smelled the head of his son.
Your descent, my son, is for the destruction of the demons, for the benefit of the gods, the twice-born, and those devoted to Brahman.
If any sacrifice is performed on earth without the prescribed fee, standing on the path to heaven, you must create an obstacle to that rite.
Whoever, in this world, teaches, studies, explains, or performs rites unlawfully—always take the life of such a one.
O best of men, for women and men who have fallen from their caste, and for those devoid of their own duty, take their lives, O Lord.
For those women and men, O Vināyaka, who always worship you, you should grant them equality with yourself.
O child Gaṇeśa, protect your devotees with all effort—those who are young, mature, or old—being worshipped here and hereafter.
