आकाशदेहो दिग्बाहुः सोमसूर्याग्निलोचनः हतासुरमहावृक्षो ब्रह्मविद्यामहोत्कटः

With a body of sky, arms as the directions, eyes of moon, sun, and fire, destroyer of great demon-trees, mighty in the supreme knowledge of Brahman.

ब्रह्माद्याधोरणैर् दिव्यैर् योगपाशसमन्वितैः बद्धो हृत्पुण्डरीकाख्ये स्तंभे वृत्तिं निरुध्य च

Bound by divine ropes of Brahma and others, equipped with yogic bonds, tied to the pillar called the lotus of the heart, restraining activity.

नागेन्द्रवक्त्रो यः साक्षाद् गणकोटिशतैर्वृतः शिवध्यानैकसम्पन्नः स मे पापं व्यपोहतु

He whose face is that of the serpent king, surrounded by hundreds of millions of hosts, accomplished in meditation on Shiva; may he directly dispel my sin.

भृङ्गीशः पिङ्गलाक्षो ऽसौ भसिताशस्तु देहयुक् शिवार्चनरतः श्रीमान् स मे पापं व्यपोहतु

Bhringi, with tawny eyes, covered in ashes, possessing a body, devoted to Shiva-worship, glorious; may he dispel my sin.

चतुर्भिस्तनुभिर् नित्यं सर्वासुरनिबर्हणः स्कन्दः शक्तिधरः शान्तः सेनानीः शिखिवाहनः

With four bodies always, destroyer of all demons, Skanda, bearer of the spear, tranquil, commander, riding the peacock.

देवसेनापतिः श्रीमान् स मे पापं व्यपोहतु भवः शर्वस्तथेशानो रुद्रः पशुपतिस् तथा

Glorious commander of the divine army; may he dispel my sin. Bhava, Sharva, Ishana, Rudra, and also Pashupati.

उग्रो भीमो महादेवः शिवार्चनरतः सदा एताः पापं व्यपोहन्तु मूर्तयः परमेष्ठिनः

Fierce, formidable, Mahadeva, always devoted to Shiva-worship; may these forms of the supreme lord dispel sin.

महादेवः शिवो रुद्रः शङ्करो नीललोहितः ईशानो विजयो भीमो देवदेवो भवोद्भवः

Mahādeva, Śiva, Rudra, Śaṅkara, Nīlalohita, Īśāna, Vijaya, Bhīma, Devadeva, Bhavodbhava.

कपालीशश् च विज्ञेयो रुद्रा रुद्रांशसंभवाः शिवप्रणामसम्पन्ना व्यपोहन्तु मलं मम

Kapālīśa is to be known, and the Rudras, born from Rudra's essence, endowed with Śiva's salutation—may they remove my impurity.

विकर्तनो विवस्वांश् च मार्तण्डो भास्करो रविः लोकप्रकाशकश्चैव लोकसाक्षीत्रिविक्रमः

Vikartana, Vivasvān, Mārtaṇḍa, Bhāskara, Ravi, the illuminator of worlds, and the witness of worlds, Trivikrama.

आदित्यश् च तथा सूर्यश् चांशुमांश् च दिवाकरः एते वै द्वादशादित्या व्यपोहन्तु मलं मम

Āditya, Sūrya, Aṃśumān, Divākara—these twelve Ādityas, may they remove my impurity.

गगनं स्पर्शनं तेजो रसश् च पृथिवी तथा चन्द्रः सूर्यस्तथात्मा च तनवः शिवभाषिताः

The sky, touch, light, taste, earth, the moon, the sun, the self, and the bodies spoken of by Śiva.

पापं व्यपोहन्तु मम भयं निर्णाशयन्तु मे वासवः पावकश्चैव यमो निरृतिरेव च

May they remove my sin and destroy my fear: Vāsava, Pāvaka, Yama, and Nirṛti.

वरुणो वायुसोमौ च ईशानो भगवान् हरिः पितामहश् च भगवान् शिवध्यानपरायणः

Varuṇa, Vāyu, Soma, Īśāna, the blessed Hari, and Pitāmaha, devoted to meditation on Śiva.

एते पापं व्यपोहन्तु मनसा कर्मणा कृतम् नभस्वान्स्पर्शनो वायुर् अनिलो मारुतस् तथा

May these remove the sin committed by mind and action: Nabhas, Sparśana, Vāyu, Anila, and Māruta.

प्राणः प्राणेशजीवेशौ मारुतः शिवभाषिताः शिवार्चनरताः सर्वे व्यपोहन्तु मलं मम

Prāṇa, Prāṇeśa, Jīveśa, Māruta, spoken of by Śiva, all devoted to worship of Śiva—may they remove my impurity.

खेचरी वसुचारी च ब्रह्मेशो ब्रह्मब्रह्मधीः सुषेणः शाश्वतः पृष्टः सुपुष्टश् च महाबलः

Khecarī, Vasucārī, Brahmeśa, Brahmabrahmadhī, Suṣeṇa, Śāśvata, Pṛṣṭa, Supuṣṭa, and Mahābala.

एते वै चारणाः शंभोः पूजयातीव भाविताः व्यपोहन्तु मलं सर्वं पापं चैव मया कृतम्

These are the Cāraṇas of Śambhu, deeply devoted to his worship—may they remove all impurity and sin committed by me.

मन्त्रज्ञो मन्त्रवित् प्राज्ञो मन्त्रराट् सिद्धपूजितः सिद्धवत्परमः सिद्धः सर्वसिद्धिप्रदायिनः

Knower of mantras, master of mantras, wise, king of mantras, worshipped by Siddhas, supreme among Siddhas, Siddha, bestower of all perfections.

व्यपोहन्तु मलं सर्वे सिद्धाः शिवपदार्चकाः यक्षो यक्षेशधनदो जृम्भको मणिभद्रकः

May all Siddhas, worshippers of Śiva's abode, remove my impurity: Yakṣa, Yakṣeśa, Dhanada, Jṛmbhaka, Maṇibhadraka.

पूर्णभद्रेश्वरो माली शितिकुण्डलिरेव च नरेन्द्रश्चैव यक्षेशा व्यपोहन्तु मलं मम

Pūrṇabhadreśvara, Mālī, Śitikuṇḍali, Narendra, and Yakṣeśas—may they remove my impurity.

अनन्तः कुलिकश्चैव वासुकिस्तक्षकस्तथा कर्कोटको महापद्मः शङ्खपालो महाबलः

Ananta, Kulika, Vāsuki, Takṣaka, Karkoṭaka, Mahāpadma, Śaṅkhapāla, and Mahābala.

शिवप्रणामसम्पन्नाः शिवदेहप्रभूषणाः मम पापं व्यपोहन्तु विषं स्थावरजङ्गमम्

Endowed with Śiva's salutation, adorned with Śiva's body—may they remove my sin, whether poison is immobile or moving.

वीणाज्ञः किन्नरश्चैव सुरसेनः प्रमर्दनः अतीशयः स प्रयोगी गीतज्ञश्चैव किन्नराः

Vīṇā-knower, Kinnara, Surasena, Pramardana, Atiśaya, the practitioner, Gīta-knower, and Kinnaras.

शिवप्रणामसम्पन्ना व्यपोहन्तु मलं मम विद्याधरश् च विबुधो विद्याराशिर्विदां वरः

Endowed with Śiva's salutation, may they remove my impurity: Vidyādhara, Vibudha, treasury of knowledge, best among the learned.

विबुद्धो विबुधः श्रीमान् कृतज्ञश् च महायशाः एते विद्याधराः सर्वे शिवध्यानपरायणाः

Awakened, divine, prosperous, grateful, and of great renown—these are all the Vidyādharas, devoted to meditation upon Śiva.

व्यपोहन्तु मलं घोरं महादेवप्रसादतः वामदेवी महाजम्भः कालनेमिर्महाबलः

May they dispel terrible impurity by the grace of Mahādeva: Vāmadeva, Mahājambha, Kālanemi of great strength.

सुग्रीवो मर्दकश्चैव पिङ्गलो देवमर्दनः प्रह्रादश्चाप्यनुह्रादः संह्रादः किल बाष्कलौ

Sugrīva, Mardaka, Piṅgala, Devamardana, Prahrāda, Anuhrāda, Saṃhrāda, and the two Bāṣkalas.

जम्भः कुंभश् च मायावी कार्तवीर्यः कृतंजयः एते ऽसुरा महात्मानो महादेवपरायणाः

Jambha, Kumbha the magician, Kārtavīrya, Kṛtaṃjaya—these great-souled Asuras are devoted to Mahādeva.
