देवदेवं समासाद्य नमस्कृत्वा व्यवस्थितः रेजे पुरत्रयं दग्धं दैत्यकोटिशतैर्वृतम्
Having approached the Lord of gods and offered obeisance, he stood there, shining, surrounded by hundreds of millions of demons, after burning the triple city.
इषुणा तेन कल्पान्ते रुद्रेणेव जगत्त्रयम् ये पूजयन्ति तत्रापि दैत्या रुद्रं सबान्धवाः
With that arrow at the end of the age, just as Rudra, the three worlds—wherever people worship—even there, the demons along with their kin worship Rudra.
गाणपत्यं तदा शंभोर् ययुः पूजाविधेर्बलात् न किंचिद् अब्रुवन् देवाः सेन्द्रोपेन्द्रा गणेश्वराः
Then, by the power of the ritual, they adopted the worship of Gaṇapati, and the gods, including Indra, Upendra, and the lords of the hosts, said nothing.
भयाद्देवं निरीक्ष्यैव देवीं हिमवतः सुताम् दृष्ट्वा भीतं तदानीकं देवानां देवपुङ्गवः
Out of fear, seeing the god and the goddess, daughter of Himavat, and beholding the terrified assembly of gods, the foremost of the gods—
किं चेत्याह तदा देवान् प्रणेमुस्तं समन्ततः
Then he said to the gods, 'What is this?' and they all bowed to him from every side.
ववन्दिरे नन्दिनमिन्दुभूषणं ववन्दिरे पर्वतराजसंभवाम् ववन्दिरे चाद्रिसुतासुतं प्रभुं ववन्दिरे देवगणा महेश्वरम्
They bowed to Nandin, adorned with the moon; they bowed to the one born of the king of mountains; they bowed to the lord, son of the mountain's daughter; the hosts of gods bowed to Maheśvara.
तुष्टाव हृदये ब्रह्मा देवैः सह समाहितः विष्णुना च भवं देवं त्रिपुरारातिमीश्वरम्
Brahmā, together with the gods and with concentrated mind, praised Bhava, the god, the lord, the enemy of Tripura, along with Viṣṇu.
प्रसीद देवदेवेश प्रसीद परमेश्वर प्रसीद जगतां नाथ प्रसीदानन्ददाव्यय
Be gracious, Lord of gods; be gracious, Supreme Lord; be gracious, Lord of the worlds; be gracious, undying giver of bliss.
पञ्चास्यरुद्ररुद्राय पञ्चाशत्कोटिमूर्तये आत्मत्रयोपविष्टाय विद्यातत्त्वाय ते नमः
Obeisance to you, Rudra of five faces, with fifty million forms, seated in the three selves, the essence of knowledge.
शिवाय शिवतत्त्वाय अघोराय नमोनमः अघोराष्टकतत्त्वाय द्वादशात्मस्वरूपिणे
Salutations again and again to Śiva, the principle of Śiva, to the Aghora form, to the essence of the eightfold Aghora, to the one whose nature is twelvefold.
विद्युत्कोटिप्रतीकाशम् अष्टकाशं सुशोभनम् रूपमास्थाय लोके ऽस्मिन् संस्थिताय शिवात्मने
To the one whose form shines like millions of lightning flashes, who is splendid in eightfold radiance, who abides in this world as the soul of Śiva.
अग्निवर्णाय रौद्राय अंबिकार्धशरीरिणे धवलश्यामरक्तानां मुक्तिदायामराय च
To the one of fire-like color, fierce, whose body is half Ambikā, who grants liberation to the white, dark, and red immortals.
ज्येष्ठाय रुद्ररूपाय सोमाय वरदाय च त्रिलोकाय त्रिदेवाय वषट्काराय वै नमः
To the eldest, to the Rudra form, to Soma, to the giver of boons, to the lord of the three worlds, to the three gods, to the utterer of vaṣaṭ—salutations.
मध्ये गगनरूपाय गगनस्थाय ते नमः अष्टक्षेत्राष्टरूपाय अष्टतत्त्वाय ते नमः
Salutations to you, who are the form of the sky in the midst, who abide in the sky, who are eightfold in fields and forms, who are the eight principles.
चतुर्धा च चतुर्धा च चतुर्धा संस्थिताय च पञ्चधा पञ्चधा चैव पञ्चमन्त्रशरीरिणे
To the one established in fourfold and again fourfold and again fourfold ways, and in fivefold and again fivefold, whose body is the five mantras.
चतुःषष्टिप्रकाराय अकाराय नमोनमः द्वात्रिंशत्तत्त्वरूपाय उकाराय नमोनमः
Salutations again and again to the one of sixty-four forms, to the letter 'A'; salutations to the one whose form is the thirty-two principles, to the letter 'U'.
षोडशात्मस्वरूपाय मकाराय नमोनमः अष्टधात्मस्वरूपाय अर्धमात्रात्मने नमः
Salutations again and again to the one whose nature is sixteenfold, to the letter 'M'; salutations to the one whose nature is eightfold, to the half-syllable as the self.
ओङ्काराय नमस्तुभ्यं चतुर्धा संस्थिताय च गगनेशाय देवाय स्वर्गेशाय नमो नमः
Salutations to you, Oṃkāra, established in fourfold ways, to the lord of the sky, to the god, to the lord of heaven—salutations again and again.
सप्तलोकाय पातालनरकेशाय वै नमः अष्टक्षेत्राष्टरूपाय परात्परतराय च
Salutation to You, who are the Seven Worlds, the lord of the underworlds and hells; to You who are the eight sacred places, the eight forms, and who are higher than the highest.
सहस्रशिरसे तुभ्यं सहस्राय च ते नमः सहस्रपादयुक्ताय शर्वाय परमेष्ठिने
To You with a thousand heads, I bow; to You who are a thousandfold; to You endowed with a thousand feet, to Śarva, the Supreme Lord.
नवात्मतत्त्वरूपाय नवाष्टात्मात्मशक्तये पुनरष्टप्रकाशाय तथाष्टाष्टकमूर्तये
To You who are the form of the nine essential principles, whose power is the nine and eightfold self, who again shine forth in eight ways, and who are the eightfold eight-formed One.
चतुःषष्ट्यात्मतत्त्वाय पुनरष्टविधाय ते गुणाष्टकवृतायैव गुणिने निर्गुणाय ते
To You who are the sixty-four essential principles of the self, who are again of eightfold nature, who are surrounded by the eight qualities, who possess qualities and are yet beyond qualities.
मूलस्थाय नमस्तुभ्यं शाश्वतस्थानवासिने नाभिमण्डलसंस्थाय हृदि निःस्वनकारिणे
Salutation to You who abide at the root, who dwell in the eternal place, who are established in the navel region, and who cause resonance in the heart.
कन्धरे च स्थितायैव तालुरन्ध्रस्थिताय च भ्रूमध्ये संस्थितायैव नादमध्ये स्थिताय च
To You who are established in the throat, who are present at the palate's opening, who are situated between the eyebrows, and who abide in the midst of sound.
चन्द्रबिम्बस्थितायैव शिवाय शिवरूपिणे वह्निसोमार्करूपाय षट्त्रिंशच्छक्तिरूपिणे
To You who are established in the orb of the moon, who are Śiva, who take the form of Śiva, who are of the forms of fire, moon, and sun, and who are the embodiment of thirty-six energies.
त्रिधा संवृत्य लोकान्वै प्रसुप्तभुजगात्मने त्रिप्रकारं स्थितायैव त्रेताग्निमयरूपिणे
To You who, having enveloped the worlds in three ways, are the self of the sleeping serpent, who are established in three forms, and whose form is the fire of the threefold sacrificial altar.
सदाशिवाय शान्ताय महेशाय पिनाकिने सर्वज्ञाय शरण्याय सद्योजाताय वै नमः
To Sadāśiva, the peaceful one, to the great Lord, the wielder of the Pināka bow, the all-knowing, the refuge, and to Sadyojāta, I bow.
अघोराय नमस्तुभ्यं वामदेवाय ते नमः तत्पुरुषाय नमो ऽस्तु ईशानाय नमोनमः
Salutation to Aghora, salutation to Vāmadeva, salutation to Tatpuruṣa, repeated salutation to Īśāna.
नमस्त्रिंशत्प्रकाशाय शान्तातीताय वै नमः अनन्तेशाय सूक्ष्माय उत्तमाय नमो ऽस्तु ते
Salutation to You, the thirtyfold radiance, to the one beyond peace, to the Lord of infinity, to the subtle one, to the highest, I bow.
एकाक्षाय नमस्तुभ्यम् एकरुद्राय ते नमः नमस्त्रिमूर्तये तुभ्यं श्रीकण्ठाय शिखण्डिने
Salutation to You, the one-eyed; salutation to You, the one Rudra; salutation to You, the three-formed; to Śrīkaṇṭha, the crested one.
