स्नानं तत्र प्रकुर्वोत अश्वमेधफलं लभेत्
One who bathes there obtains the fruit of an Ashvamedha sacrifice.
तत्र स्त्रात्वा नरो राज्यं लभते नात्र संशयः
There, having bathed, a man attains sovereignty; there is no doubt about this.
स्नातमात्रो नरस्तत्र सोमलोके महीयते
Merely by bathing there, a man is honored in the realm of Soma.
तत्र स्नात्वा नरो राजन् सर्वयज्ञफलं लभेत्
O king, by bathing there, a man obtains the fruit of all sacrifices.
आदित्यायतनं रम्यमीश्वरेण तु भाषितम्
The delightful abode of the Sun was spoken of by the Lord.
तस्य तीर्थप्रभावेण लभते चाक्षयं फलम्
By the power of that sacred place, he obtains an imperishable reward.
मुच्यन्ते सर्वपापेभ्यः सूर्यलोकं प्रयान्ति च
They are freed from all sins and go to the world of the Sun.
स्नातमात्रो नरस्तत्र स्वर्गलोकमवाप्नुयात्
Merely by bathing there, a man attains the heavenly realm.
तत्र स्नात्वा तु राजेन्द्र शुचिर्भूत्वा प्रयत्नतः
There, O king of kings, having bathed and become pure with effort,
पुष्पकेण विमानेन वायुलोकं स गच्छति
He goes to the realm of the wind in the celestial chariot called Pushpaka.
स्नानमात्रादप्सरोभिर्मोदते कालमक्षयम्
By bathing alone, he enjoys with the Apsaras for an endless time.
कामदेवदिने तस्मिन्नहल्यां यस्तु पूजयेत्
On the day of Kamadeva, whoever worships Ahalya there,
स्त्रीवल्लभो भवेच्छ्रीमान् कामदेव इवापरः
He becomes beloved of women, prosperous, and another Kamadeva.
स्नातमात्रो नरस्तत्र गोसहस्रफलं लभेत्
Merely by bathing there, a man obtains the fruit of giving a thousand cows.
स्नातमात्रो नरस्तत्र सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते
A man who bathes there is immediately freed from all sins.
त्रैलोक्यविश्रुतं राजन् सोमतीर्थं महाफलम्
O King, the Soma Tirtha, renowned throughout the three worlds, yields great merit.
सर्वपापविशुद्धात्मा सोमलोकं स गच्छति
With his soul purified from all sins, he attains the world of Soma.
जले चानशनं वापि नासौ मर्त्यो ऽभिजायते
If one fasts or refrains from eating in the water there, that mortal is not reborn.
स्नातमात्रो नरस्तत्र सोमलोके महीयते
A man who bathes there is honored in the world of Soma.
योधनीपुरमाख्यातं विष्णोः स्थानमनुत्तमम्
It is called Yodhanipura, the supreme abode of Vishnu.
अहोरात्रोपवासेन ब्रह्महत्यां व्यपोहति
By fasting there for a day and night, one removes the sin of killing a Brahmin.
कामतीर्थमिति ख्यातं यत्र कामोर्ऽचयद् भवम्
It is known as Kamatirtha, where Kama worshipped Bhava.
कुसुमायुधरूपेण रुद्रोलोके महीयते
In the form of the god of love, one is honored in the world of Rudra.
उमाहकमिति ख्यातं तत्र संतर्पयेत् पितॄन्
It is called Umahaka; there, one should satisfy the ancestors.
गजरूपा शिला तत्र तोयमध्ये व्यवस्थिता
There, a stone in the form of an elephant stands in the midst of the water.
तृप्यन्ति पितरस्तस्य यावत् तिष्ठति मेदिनी
The ancestors of the one who offers there are satisfied as long as the earth endures.
स्नातमात्रो नरस्तत्र गाणपत्यपदं लभेत्
A man who bathes there attains the state of Ganapati.
तत्र स्नात्वा तु राजेन्द्र विष्णुलोके महीयते
O king, by bathing there, one is honored in the world of Vishnu.
स्वात्मानं दर्शयामास लिङ्गं तत् परमं पदम्
He revealed himself as the linga, that supreme abode.
पिण्डप्रिदानं च कृतं प्रेत्यानन्तफलप्रदम्
And the offering of rice-balls made there grants endless rewards after death.
