Those who see the truth call me the one great Person.
That supreme power belongs to me, whose form is pure, stainless, and without qualities.
I shall declare it; be attentive, O knowers of Brahman, and listen with concentrated minds.
Yet I set this in motion; the wise know this as the cause.
Yogis who have entered into union with me attain the imperishable.
They attain supreme purity and liberation together with me.
By my grace, O lords of yoga, this is the teaching of the Veda.
This knowledge I have spoken, grounded in Sāṃkhya and Yoga.
From them all this has arisen; therefore, the world is pervaded by Brahman.
In the world, it abides everywhere, pervading all, as heard in the scriptures.
The eternal foundation, ever-blissful, unmanifest, and free from duality.
Without distinctions, without appearance, the abode of all, the supreme nectar.
Qualityless, the supreme expanse—this knowledge is known by the wise.
I am that, all-pervading, peaceful, the self of knowledge, the supreme Lord.
All beings abide in me; whoever knows this is truly a knower of the Veda.
Of these two, the beginningless one is declared to be time, the supreme uniter.
That is its own nature; the other is different. They know my form as that.
That which is called Prakriti, the enchantress of all embodied beings.
Because of freedom from ego, it is called the twenty-fifth principle.
The power of discernment is the knower; indeed, ego arises from that.
That is called the jīva, the inner self, by those who contemplate reality.
It is of the nature of knowledge; for it, the mind serves as an instrument.
And that lack of discrimination, due to association with Prakriti, arose through time.
All are subject to time; time is under the control of none.
The Lord is called Prāṇa, all-knowing, the supreme person.
From the mind comes ego, and beyond ego is the great principle.
From the person comes the Lord, Prāṇa; from him is this entire world.
There is no being higher than me; knowing me, one is liberated.
Except for Me alone—the unmanifest, of the nature of space, the Great Lord—
The Lord, who is the possessor of māyā and composed of māyā, is united with Time.
