अन्तरिक्षे ऽप्सरः सङ्घा नृत्यन्तिस्म मनोरमाः
In the sky, delightful hosts of apsarases were dancing.
उत्पन्नाखिलविज्ञानस्तुष्टाव परमेश्वरम्
One endowed with all knowledge arose and praised the Supreme Lord.
कालं कविं योगवियोगहेतुम्
Time, the sage, the cause of union and separation in yoga—
भवन्तमेकं प्रणमामि रुद्रम्
I bow to you, Rudra, the one and only.
वाय्वादिभेदैरखिलात्मरूप
You, whose form is the self of all, manifesting as the divisions of wind and others—
त्वमन्तको योगिगणाभिजुष्टः
You are Antaka, honored by hosts of yogis.
भवन्तमाहुः शिवमेव केचित्
Some call you indeed Shiva.
स्वयं प्रभो ऽशेषविशेषहीनः
O Lord, you are yourself devoid of all distinctions.
नीलग्रीवः स्तूयसे वेदविद्भिः
O blue-throated one, you are praised by those who know the Vedas.
सदाशिवस्त्वं परमेश्वरो ऽसि
You are Sadashiva, you are the Supreme Lord.
सहस्त्रशक्त्यासनसंस्थिताय
Salutations to the one established on a seat of a thousand powers.
नमो जनानां हृदि संस्थिताय
Salutations to the one who abides in the hearts of people.
नमः परान्ताय भवोद्भवाय
Salutations to the one who is the end beyond, the source and origin of existence.
नमो ऽम्बिकायाः पतये मृडाय
Salutations to the consort of Ambika, the gracious one.
नमो महेशाय नमः शिवाय
Salutations to the great Lord, salutations to Shiva.
तुष्टः प्रोवाच हस्ताभ्यां स्पृष्ट्वाथ परमेश्वरः
Pleased, the Supreme Lord then spoke, having touched him with his hands.
संप्राप्य गाणपत्यं मे सन्निधाने वसामरः
Having attained lordship of the Ganas in my presence, you shall dwell, O immortal one.
नन्दीश्वरस्यानुचरः सर्वदुः खविवर्जितः
You shall be the attendant of Nandishvara, free from all great suffering.
गणेश्वरा महादेवमन्धकं देवसन्निधौ
The lord of the hosts, Mahādeva, Andhaka, stood in the assembly of the gods.
नीलकण्ठं जटामौलिं शूलासक्तमहाकरम्
The blue-throated one, crowned with matted hair, whose mighty hand held the trident.
उवाच भगवान् विष्णुर्देवदेवं स्मयन्निव
The blessed Viṣṇu, smiling, addressed the god of gods.
नेक्षते ऽज्ञानजान् दोषान् गृह्णाति च गुणानपि
He does not observe faults born of ignorance, and he accepts virtues as well.
सकेशवः सहान्धको जगाम शङ्करान्तिकम्
With Keśava and Andhaka together, he went to the presence of Śaṅkara.
समाधवं समातृकं जगाम निर्वृतिं हरः
Hara attained perfect union and contentment, along with Mādhava and Mātrika.
जगाम यत्र शैलजा विमानमीशवल्लभा
He went to where the daughter of the mountain, beloved of the Lord, resided in her celestial abode.
अवाप सान्धकं सुखं प्रसादमन्धकं प्रति
He obtained supreme happiness for Andhaka, granting favor to Andhaka.
पपात दण्डवत्क्षितौ ननाम पादपद्मयोः
He fell prostrate upon the ground, bowing at the lotus feet.
यतः प्रधानपूरुषौ निहन्ति याखिलं जगत्
For the primordial Purusha destroys all the universe.
हिरण्मये ऽतिनिर्मले नमामि तामिमामजाम्
I bow to her, the golden, supremely pure, unborn and undying.
नमामि यत्र तामुमामशेषबेदवर्जिताम्
I bow to her, where she is, free from all distinctions and divisions.
