Once more, O Supreme Lord, your eternal and true nature shines forth, beyond all change and decay. Those who beheld Mādhava, the source of all blessings, spoke words of profound depth, for they had witnessed the divine directly. Now, hear the greatness of the Lord—a truth known to those who understand the Vedas. The Lord proclaims: “I alone am the destroyer of all worlds; I am the eternal Self dwelling within every being. All things exist within me at their beginning and end, but I myself am not established everywhere as they are. This, O sages, is the analogy I reveal, shown by me through my own māyā, my wondrous power. It is I who set the entire world in motion; this power of action belongs to me alone. I am Time itself, propelling the world, which is woven from the fabric of time. When the time comes, I draw everything back into a single form; yet, both creation and dissolution are truly my own states. At the dawn of creation, it is I who stir both Pradhāna, the primal matter, and Puruṣa, the cosmic spirit. From me arises Mahat, the great principle, and through this sequence, my radiance unfolds. Hiraṇyagarbha, the golden embryo, the Sun himself, is born from my very being. At the start of each cosmic cycle, Hiraṇyagarbha gives the four Vedas to his sons, the twice-born sages. That divine power, my own sovereignty, he bears within himself always. Taking a four-faced form, he creates the worlds, having arisen from his own essence. My supreme form alone is the preserver of the universe. By my command, that form also brings about dissolution when the time arrives. Even fire, which cooks and transforms, acts only by my power. Vaiśvānara, the divine fire, follows the command of the Lord and enlivens all beings. By my will, Vaiśvānara sustains the bodies of all creatures. Soma too, the nourishing moon, moves according to my command. The Sun causes rain to fall, ever obedient to the ordinance of the Self-born Lord. That radiant god, by my command, grants the fruits to those who perform sacrifice. Yama, son of Vivasvat, rules over the departed by the command of the God of gods. Kubera, the lord of wealth, exists only by my will. Nirṛti, deity of dissolution, acts always by my command. Īśāna, the guardian of the northeast, abides by my order, ever protecting the devotees. He who is the constant protector of yogis acts only by my command, and the remover of obstacles, the leader of dharma, follows my word as well. Skanda, self-born and mighty, acts always according to my ordinance. All these deities create the various worlds only by the command of the Supreme. She who is the consort of Nārāyaṇa exists by my favor. Prompted by my command, she proceeds to act in her divine roles. The goddess Sāvitrī, so greatly revered, follows the command of the Lord. She who is especially meditated upon also acts according to my word. He who upholds the world upon his head does so by my command, and he who drinks the entire ocean acts only by my will. All these deities protect all beings by my command, and all other gods are established only by my ordinance. Thus, the greatness of the Lord is such that all creation, preservation, and dissolution, all powers and deities, move and act only by his supreme will.
