Listen, O Rudra, I will again explain the worship of Sūrya; 'Om, obeisance to Daṇḍin.' These guardians at the doors are to be worshipped with these mantras, O Bull-bannered One.

In this way, one should always meditate on Sūrya. Now listen to the root mantra.

Having first worshipped the group of teachers, then one should worship all the gods: Om aṃ, obeisance to the teachers.
सूर्य्यस्य कथिता पूजा कृत्वैतां विष्णुलोकभाक् ।। 39.
Thus the worship of Surya has been described; having performed this, one attains the world of Vishnu.
