यो गृह्णातीन्द्रियैरर्थान्विपरीतान्स मृत्युभाक् । भिषङ्मित्रगुरुद्वेषी प्रियारातिश्च यो भवेत् ॥ १,१६८.
He who perceives objects with his senses in a distorted manner is destined for death; one who is hostile to physicians, friends, and teachers, or excessively attached to loved ones or enemies, likewise faces peril.
गुल्फजानुललाटं च हनुर्गण्डस्तथैव च । भ्रष्टं स्थानच्युतं यस्य स जहात्यचिरादसून् ॥ १,१६८.
If the ankle, knee, forehead, jaw, or cheek are dislocated or displaced in someone, that person will soon lose their life.
वामाक्षिमज्जनं जिह्वा श्यामा नासा विकारिणी । कृष्णौ स्थानच्युतौ चोष्ठौ कृष्णास्यं यस्यतं त्यजेत् ॥ १,१६८.
If the left eye is sunken, the tongue is dark, the nose is deformed, the lips are black and displaced, and the mouth is black, one should abandon hope for such a person.
श्रीगरुडमहापुराणम् १६९ धन्वन्तरिरुवाच । हिताहितविकेकाय अनुपानविधिं ब्रुवे । रक्तशालि त्रिदोषघ्नं तृष्णामेदोनिवारकम् ॥ १,१६९.
Dhanvantari said: I will explain the discernment of what is beneficial and harmful, and the rules for anupāna; red rice destroys the three doṣas, quenches thirst, and prevents fat accumulation.
महाशालि परं वृष्यं कलमः श्लेष्मपित्तहा । शीत्तो गुरुस्त्रिदोषघ्नः प्रायशो गौरषष्टिकः ॥ १,१६९.
Mahāśāli is highly invigorating; kalama rice alleviates phlegm and bile; it is cooling, heavy, and generally, the white ṣaṣṭika rice also pacifies the three doṣas.
श्यामाकः शोषणो रूक्षो वातलः श्लेष्मपित्तहा । तद्वत्प्रियङ्गुनीवारकोरदूषाः प्रकीर्तिताः ॥ १,१६९.

Vṛkṣāmla dispels phlegm and wind; jambīra reduces phlegm and wind; dāḍima counters wind and is binding, while nāgaraṅga fruit is heavy.
केशरं मातुलुङ्गं च दीपनं कफवातनुत् । वातपित्तहरो माषस्त्वक्स्निग्धोष्णानिलापहः ॥ १,१६९.

सरमामलकं वृष्यं मधुरं हृद्यमम्लकृत् । भुक्तप्ररोचका पुण्या हरीतक्यमृतोपमा ॥ १,१६९.
Saramāmalaka is aphrodisiac, sweet, wholesome, and produces sourness; harītaki, praised as virtuous and comparable to nectar, enhances appetite after eating.
स्त्रंसनी कफवातघ्नी ह्यक्षस्तद्वत्त्रिदोषजित् । वातश्लेष्महरं त्वम्लं स्त्रंसनं तिन्तिडीफलम् ॥ १,१६९.
Straṃsanī counters phlegm and wind; akṣa likewise conquers all three doshas; tintiḍī fruit is sour, removes wind and phlegm, and acts as a laxative.
दोषलं लकुचं स्वादु बकुलं कफवातजित् । गुल्मवातकफश्वासकासघ्नं बीजपूरकम् ॥ १,१६९.
Lakuca is disorder-causing and sweet; bakula counters phlegm and wind; bījapūraka destroys abdominal swelling, wind, phlegm, breathlessness, and cough.
कपित्थं ग्राहि दोषघ्नं पक्वं गुरु विषापहम् । कफपित्तकरं बालमापूर्णं पित्तवर्धनम् ॥ १,१६९.

Ripe mango increases wind, flesh, semen, color, and strength; jāmbava counters wind, phlegm, and bile, is binding and causes constipation.
तिन्दुकं कफवातघ्नं बदरं वातपित्तहृत् । विष्टम्भि वातलं बिल्वं प्रियालं पवनापहम् ॥ १,१६९.
Tinduka dispels phlegm and wind; badara removes wind and bile; bilva is constipating and windy; priyāla alleviates wind.
