The destroyer of wicked Asuras, and likewise the enemy of Śambara.
यमलार्जनभेत्ता च तपोहितकरस्तथा 15.
The breaker of the Yamala Arjuna trees, and the giver of ascetic merit.
सारः सारप्रियः सौरः कालहन्तानिकृन्तनः 15.
Sāra, beloved of Sāra, Sāura, the destroyer of Time, the severer.
प्राणोऽपानस्तथा व्यानो रजः सत्त्वं तमः शरत् 15.
Prāṇa, Apāna, and also Vyāna; rajas, sattva, tamas, and śarat.
कूटस्थः स्वच्छरूपश्च सर्वदेहविवर्जितः 15.
Unchanging, of pure form, and devoid of all bodies.
हस्तेंद्रियविहीनश्च पादाभ्यां च विवर्जितः 15.
Devoid of the sense of touch, and also without feet.
प्रबोधेन विहीनश्च बुद्ध्या चैव विवर्जितः 15.
Deprived of waking, and also without intellect.
अपानेन विहीनश्च व्यानेन च विवर्जितः 15.
Deprived of apāna, and also without vyāna.
आकाशेन विहीनश्च वायुना परिवर्जितः 15.
Deprived of space, and also without air.
पृथिव्या च विहीनश्च शब्देन च विवर्जितः 15.
Deprived of earth, and also without sound.
रागेण विगतश्चैव अघेन परिवर्जितः 15.
Freed from passion, and also devoid of sin.
रजो विवर्जितश्चैव विकारैः षड्भिरेव च 15.
Devoid of rajas, and also of the six modifications.
लोभेन विगतश्चैव दम्भेन च विवर्जितः 15.
Freed from greed, and also without hypocrisy.
विशारदो बलाध्यक्षः सर्वस्य क्षोभकस्तथा 15.
Skilled, the lord of strength, and also the agitator of all.
भूतानां क्षोभकश्चैव बुद्धेश्च क्षोमकस्तथा 15.
He is the agitator of beings and likewise the disturber of intellect.
ब्रह्मणः क्षोभकश्चैव रुद्रस्य क्षोभकस्तथा 15.
He is the agitator of Brahmā and also the agitator of Rudra.
त्वचा न गम्यः कूर्म्मश्च जिह्वाऽग्राह्यस्तथैव च 15.
He is not to be reached by the skin, nor grasped by the tongue.
अगम्यश्चैव पाणिभ्यां पदागम्यस्तथैव च 15.
He cannot be attained by the hands, nor approached by the feet.
अहं बुद्ध्या तथा ग्राह्यश्चेतसा ग्राह्या एव च 15.
I am to be grasped by the intellect, and likewise to be apprehended by the mind.
शार्ङ्गपाणिश्च कृष्णश्च ज्ञानमूर्त्तिः परन्तपः 15.
He is Śārṅgapāṇi, Kṛṣṇa, the embodiment of knowledge, the scorcher of foes.
ज्ञेयश्च ज्ञेयहीनश्च ज्ञप्तिश्चैतन्यरूपकः 15.
He is the knowable, the devoid of knowable, and knowledge itself in the form of consciousness.
गोविन्दो गोपतिर्गोपः सर्वगोपीसुखप्रदः 15.
He is Govinda, the protector of cows, the cowherd, the giver of happiness to all the gopīs.
उपेन्द्रश्च नृसिंहश्च शौरिश्चैव जनार्दनः 15.
He is Upendra, Nṛsiṃha, Śauri, and also Janārdana.
दामोदरस्त्रिकालश्च कालज्ञः कालवर्जितः 15.
He is Dāmodara, knower of the three times, knower of time, and beyond time.
विक्रमो दण्ड(र) हस्तश्च ह्येकदण्डी त्रिदण्डधृक् 15.
He is Vikrama, the one with the staff in hand, the single-staffed, and the bearer of the triple staff.
सामवेदोः ह्यथर्वश्च सुकृतः सुतरूपणः 15.
He is the Sāma Veda, the Atharva Veda, the doer of good, and of excellent form.
ऋग्रूपी चैव ऋग्वेद ऋग्वेदेषु प्रतिष्ठितः 15.
He is of the form of Ṛg, the Ṛg Veda, and established in the Ṛg Vedas.
बहुपाच्च सुपाच्चैव तथैव च सहस्त्रपात् 15.
He has many feet, beautiful feet, and likewise a thousand feet.
