मध्ये बीजद्वयं न्यस्य न्यसेदङ्गे ततः पुनः 11.
In the center, place two seed syllables, then place them again on the limbs.
बाह्वोश्च करयोर्जान्वोः पादयोश्चापि विन्यसेत् 11.
One should place them on the arms, hands, knees, and also on the feet.
चिन्तयेत्तत्र सर्वेशं परं तत्त्वमनामयम् 11.
There, one should contemplate the Lord of all, the supreme, flawless principle.
ततो मूर्द्धाक्षिवक्क्रेषु कण्ठे च हृदये तथा 11.
Then, on the head, eyes, bends, neck, and also on the heart.
पाण्योः षडङ्गबीजानि न्यस्य काये ततो न्यसेत् 11.
Place the sixfold seed syllables on the hands, then place them on the body.
करमध्ये नेत्रबीजमङ्गन्यासऽप्ययं क्रमः 11.
In the middle of the hand, the seed syllable for the eye; this is the sequence for placement on the limbs.
शिखायां तु शिखां न्यस्य कवचं सर्वतस्तनौ 11.
Place the topknot upon the crown, and the protective armor over the entire body.
तेनैव च दिशो बद्धा पूजा विधिमथाचरेत् 11.
With that, bind the directions, and then perform the worship according to the prescribed method.
धर्म ज्ञनं च वैराग्यमैश्वर्यं च यथाक्रमम् 11.
Righteousness, knowledge, detachment, and lordly power—these, in their proper order.
एभिः परिच्छन्नतनुं पीठभूतं तदात्मकम् 11.
With these, cover the body, making it the very seat and essence of the rite.
ततो विद्यात्सरोजातं दलाष्टसमदिग्दलम् 11.
Then one should know the lotus arising, with eight petals, each corresponding to a direction.
ध्यात्वा वेदादिना पश्चात्सूर्य्यसोमानलात्मनाम् 11.
Meditating with the Vedas and so forth, then on the essences of the sun, moon, and fire.
ततः पूर्वादिदिक्संस्थाः शक्तीः केशवगोचराः 11.
After that, the powers established in the eastern and other directions, within the domain of Keśava.
एवं ध्यात्वा समभ्यर्च्य योगपीठमनन्तरम् 11.
Thus meditating and duly worshipping, next comes the yogic seat.
हृदयादीनि पूर्वादिचतुर्दिग्दलयोगतः 11.
From the heart and so forth, in the four directions beginning with the east, joined to the petals.
सङ्कर्षणादिबीजानि पूर्वादिक्रमयोगतः 11.
The seed-syllables of Sankarṣaṇa and the others, in order beginning from the east.
सुदर्शनं सहस्त्रारं दक्षिणे द्वारि विन्यसेत् 11.
Place the Sudarśana, with a thousand spokes, at the southern door.
द्वार्य्यत्तरे गदां न्यस्य शङ्खं कोणेषु विन्यसेत् 11.
At the northern door, place the mace, and set the conch at the corners.
तद्वत्खङ्गं तथा चक्रं न्यसेत्पार्श्वद्वयोर्द्वयम् 11.
Likewise, place the sword and the discus, one on each of the two sides.
वज्रादीन्यायुधान्येव तथैव विनिवेशयेत् 11.
In the same way, arrange the other weapons, such as the thunderbolt.
सर्वं ध्यात्वेति संपूज्य मुद्राः सन्दर्शयेत्ततः 11.
Having meditated on all this and worshipped, then display the mudrās.
वन्दनी हृदयासक्तात्सार्द्धं दक्षिणतोन्नता 11.
The reverential gesture is performed with the heart engaged, and the right hand raised.
सव्यस्य तस्य चांगुष्ठो यः स उद्ध्र्वः प्रकीर्त्तितः 11.
Of that, the thumb of the left hand is said to be upright.
कनिष्ठादिप्रयोगेण अष्टौ मुद्रा यथाक्रमम् 11.
By employing the little finger and so on, the eight mudrās are made in their proper order.
अंगुष्ठेन कनिष्ठान्तं नामयित्वांगुलित्रयम् 11.
Bending three fingers from the thumb to the little finger,
सव्यहस्तं तथोत्तानं कृत्वोर्द्धं भ्रामयेच्छनैः 11.
Then, with the left hand extended upward, one should gently rotate it.
मुष्टिद्वयमथोत्तानमृज्वेकैकेन मोचयेत् 11.
Next, with both fists extended, release them one by one in a straight line.
मुष्टिद्वयमथो बद्धा एवमेवानुपूर्वशः 11.
Then, with both fists closed, do likewise in succession.
स्वरमाद्यं द्वितीयं च उपान्त्यञ्चान्त्यमेव च 11.
The first, second, penultimate, and last syllables.
प्रणवस्तत्सदित्येतद् हुं क्षौं भूरिति मन्त्रकाः 11.
The mantras are: praṇava, tat, sat, huṃ, kṣauṃ, and bhūḥ.
