एवं ज्ञात्वा महादेवध्यानं कुर्य्याज्जितेन्द्रियः 91.
Thus knowing, one with mastery over the senses should meditate on the Great God.
इति ध्यानं समाख्यातमश्विरस्य मया तव 91.

अमूर्त्तं रुद्र कथितं हन्त मूर्त्तं ब्रवीम्यहम् 92.
The formless Rudra has been spoken of; now I will tell of the embodied form.

With a form blazing like a thousand suns, fierce with flames.
किरीटेन महार्हेण रत्नप्रज्वलितेन च 92.
With a great, precious crown, shining with jewels.
वनमालाधरः शुभ्रः समांसो हेमभूषणः 92.
Wearing a garland of forest flowers, radiant, with golden ornaments upon his shoulders.
हिरण्मयशरीरश्च चारुहारी शुभाङ्गदः 92.
He possesses a golden body, adorned with beautiful garlands and auspicious ornaments.
श्रीवत्सकौस्तुभयुतो लक्ष्मीवन्द्येक्षणान्वितः 92.
He is endowed with the Śrīvatsa mark and the Kaustubha gem, accompanied by Lakṣmī, who reverently gazes upon him.
मुनिध्येयोऽसुरध्येयो देवध्येयोऽतिसुन्दरः 92.
He is contemplated by sages, demons, and gods alike, exceedingly beautiful.
सनातनोऽव्ययो मेध्यः सर्वानुग्रहकृत्प्रभुः 92.
He is eternal, imperishable, pure, the lord who bestows grace upon all.
सन्तापनाशनोऽभ्यर्च्यो मङ्गल्यो दुष्टनाशनः 92.
He dispels suffering, is worthy of worship, auspicious, and destroys the wicked.
चार्वङ्गुलीयसंयुक्तः सुदीप्तनख एव च 92.
He is adorned with lovely rings and possesses brilliantly shining nails.
सर्वालङ्कारसंयुक्तश्चारुचन्दनचर्चितः 92.
He is decorated with all ornaments and anointed with fragrant sandalwood.
सर्वलोकहितैषी च सर्वेशः सर्वभावनः 92.
He desires the welfare of all worlds, is the lord of all, and the creator of all beings.
वासुदेवो जगद्धाता ध्येयो विष्णुर्मुमुक्षुभिः 92.
Vāsudeva, the sustainer of the universe, is to be meditated upon by those seeking liberation.
ध्यायन्त्येवं च ये विष्णुं ते यान्ति परमां गतिम् 92.
Those who meditate upon Viṣṇu in this way attain the supreme state.
धर्मोपदेशकर्त्तृत्वं संप्राप्यागात्परं पदम् 92.
Having attained the role of teaching dharma, he reached the highest abode.
विष्णुध्यानं पठेद्यस्तु प्राप्नोति परमां गतिम् ॥ 92.
Whoever recites the meditation on Viṣṇu attains the supreme state.
इति श्रीगारुडे महापुराणे पूर्वखण्डे प्रथमांशाख्ये आचारकाण्डे विष्णुध्यानं नाम द्विनवतितमोऽध्यायः
Thus ends the ninety-second chapter, named 'Meditation on Viṣṇu,' in the Ācārakāṇḍa of the first section of the glorious Garuḍa Mahāpurāṇa.
याज्ञवल्क्येन यत्पूर्वं धर्मं प्रोक्तं कथं हरे ! 93.
O Hari, how was the dharma previously taught by Yājñavalkya?
हरिरुवाच अपृच्छन्नॄषयो गत्वा वर्णधर्माद्यशेषतः 93.
Hari said: The sages went and asked about all the duties of the castes.
याज्ञवल्क्य उवाच पुराणन्यायमीमांसाधर्मशास्त्राङ्गमिश्रिताः ॥ 93.
Yājñavalkya said: Mixed with the Purāṇas, logic, Mīmāṃsā, and the limbs of the dharma-śāstras.
वेदाः स्थानानि विद्यानां धर्मस्य च चतुर्दश 93.
The Vedas are the fourteen sources of knowledge and dharma.
वसिष्ठदक्षसंवर्त्तशातातपपराशराः 93.
They are Vasiṣṭha, Dakṣa, Saṃvarta, Śātātapa, and Parāśara.
गौतमः शङ्खलिखितो हारीतोऽत्रिरहं तथा 93.
Gautama, Shankhalikhita, Harita, Atri, and I myself—
देशकाल उपायेन द्रव्यं श्रद्धासमन्वितम् 93.
With regard to place and time, using proper means, and with faith, one should offer material gifts.
