वक्ष्ये मनोर्भविष्यस्य सावर्ण्याख्यस्य वै सुतान् ८७.
I shall declare the sons of the future Manu, known as Sāvarṇi.
वरिष्ठश्च गरिष्ठश्च वाचः सङ्गतिरेव च ८७.
Varishtha and Garishtha, Vāca, and Saṅgati are also among them.
ऋष्यश्रृङ्गस्तथा राम ऋषयः सप्त कीर्त्तिताः ८७.
Ṛṣyaśṛṅga, as well as Rāma, and the seven sages are mentioned.
तेषां गणस्तु देवाना मेकैको विंशकः स्मृतः ८७.
Their group of gods is remembered as twenty for each.
दत्त्वेमां याचमानाय विष्णवे यः पदत्रयम् ८७.
He who, when asked, gave these three steps to Viṣṇu.
वारुणेर्दक्षसावर्णेर्नवमस्य सुताञ्छृणु पृथुश्रवा बृहदूद्युम्न ऋचीको बृहतो गुणः ॥ ८७.
Hear the sons of Vāruṇa, Dakṣa Sāvarṇi, the ninth: Pṛthuśravā, Bṛhadūdyumna, Ṛcīka, Bṛhato, and Guṇa.
मेधातिथिर्द्युतिश्चैव सबलो वसुरेव च ८७.
Medhātithi, Dyuti, Sabala, and Vasu are also among them.
परो मरीचिर्गर्भश्च स्व (सु) धर्माणश्च ते त्रयः ८७.
Paro, Marīci's Garbha, and Su-dharmāṇa—these three as well.
(भविष्यन्ति तदा देवा एकैको द्वादशो गणः ) धर्मपुत्रस्य पुत्रांस्तु दशमस्य मनोः श्रृणु ८७.
At that time, the gods will be a group of twelve each. Hear the sons of Dharmaputra, the tenth Manu.
शतानीको निरमित्रो वृषसेनो जयद्रथः ८७.
Śatānīka, Niramitra, Vṛṣasena, and Jayadratha.
अयो (पो) मूर्त्तिर्हविष्मांश्च सुकृतिश्चाव्ययस्तथा ८७.
Ayomūrti, Haviṣmān, Sukṛti, and Avyaya as well.
प्राणाख्याः शतसंख्यास्तु देवतानां गणस्तदा बलिः शत्रुस्तं हरिश्च गदया घातयिष्यति ॥ ८७.
The group of gods at that time will be called Prāṇa, numbering a hundred. Bali, the enemy, will be slain by Hari with a mace.
रुद्र पुत्रस्य ते पुत्रान्वक्ष्याम्येकादशस्य तु ८७.
I shall declare the sons of Rudra's son, the eleventh Manu.
क्षेत्रवर्णो दृढेषुश्च आर्द्रकः पुत्रकस्तथा ८७.
Kṣetravarṇa, Dṛḍheṣu, and Ārdraka are his sons.
विष्णुश्चैवाग्नितेजाश्च ऋषयः सप्त कीर्त्तिताः ८७.
Viṣṇu and Agnitejas, and the seven sages are mentioned.
एकैकस्त्रिंशकस्तेषां गणश्चैन्द्रश्च वै वृषः ८७.
Each group consists of thirty, and Indra is called Vṛṣa.
मनोस्तु दक्षपुत्रस्य द्वादशस्यात्मजाञ्छृणु ८७.
Hear the sons of Manu, the son of Dakṣa, the twelfth.
मित्रवान्मित्रदेवश्च मित्रबिन्दुश्च वीर्य्यवान् ८७.
Mitravān, Mitradeva, Mitrabindu, and Vīryavān.
तपस्वी सुतपाश्चैव तपोमूर्त्तिस्तपोरतिः ८७.
He is an ascetic, possessed of great austerity, the very embodiment of penance, and one who delights in austerity.
स्वधर्माणः सुतपसो हरितो रोहितास्तथा ८७.
Of their own duties, of great austerity, are Harita and Rohita as well.
ऋतधामा च भद्रे (तत्रे) न्द्रस्तारको नाम तद्रिपुः ८७.
O blessed one, Indra, whose abode is righteousness, there is a foe named Tāraka.
त्रयोदशस्य रौच्यस्य मनोः पुत्राम्निबोध मे ८७.
Now hear from me the names of the sons of Raucyamana, the thirteenth Manu.
सुनेत्रः क्षेत्रवृत्तिश्च सुनयो धर्मपो दृढः ८७.
Sunetra, Kṣetravṛtti, Sunaya, Dharmapa, and Dṛḍha.
निर्मोहस्तत्त्वदर्शो च ऋषयः सप्त कीर्त्तिताः ८७.
Nirmoha and Tattvadarśa—these are the seven sages who are renowned.
त्रयस्त्रिंशद्विभेदास्ते देवानां तत्र वै गणाः ८७.
There are thirty-three divisions, those are indeed the groups of the gods there.
मायूरेण च रूपेण घातयिष्यति माधवः ८७.
And Mādhava will slay him, taking the form of a peacock.
उरुर्गभीरो धृष्टश्च तरस्वीग्रा (ग्र) ह एव च तेजस्वी दुर्लभश्चैव भौत्यस्यैते मनोः सुताः ॥ ८७.
Urur, Gabhīra, Dhṛṣṭa, Tarasvī, Graha, Tejasvī, and Durlabha—these are the sons of Bhautiya Manu.
अग्नीध्रश्चाग्निबाहुश्च मागधश्च तथा शुचिः ८७.
Agnīdhra, Agnibāhu, Māgadha, and also Śuci.
चाक्षुषाः कर्मनिष्ठाश्च पवित्रा भ्राजिनस्तथा ८७.
Cākṣuṣa, those devoted to action, the pure, and also the sinless.
शुचिरिन्द्रो महादैत्यो रिपुहन्ता हरिः स्वयम् ८७.
Śuciindra, the great Daitya, the slayer of enemies, is Hari himself.
