Whatever arises in that place of emerald,
सर्वमन्त्रौषधिगणैर्यन्न शक्यं चिकित्सितुम् 71.
Cannot be cured by any group of mantras or medicines.
अन्यदप्याकरे तत्र यद्दोषैरुपवर्जितम् 71.
There is another form there, which is free from faults.
अत्यन्तहरितवर्णं कोमलमर्चिर्विभेदजटिलं च 71.
It is of an intensely green color, soft, radiant, and with a fibrous appearance.
युक्तं संस्थानगुणैः समरागं गौरवेण न विहीनम् 71.
It possesses proper shape and qualities, is evenly colored, and is not lacking in dignity.
हित्वा च हरितभावं यस्यान्तर्विनिहिता भवेद्दीप्तिः 71.
When the green hue is set aside, and brilliance is concealed within it.
यच्च मनसः प्रसादं विदधाति निरीक्ष्यमतिमात्रम् 71.
That which, upon being observed, brings exceptional delight to the mind.
वर्णस्याति विभुत्वाद्यस्यान्तः स्वच्छकिरणपरिधानम् 71.
Whose color is exceedingly splendid, and whose interior is adorned with clear rays.
वर्णोज्ज्वलया कान्त्या सान्द्राकारो विभासया भाति 71.
It shines with vivid color, luster, and a dense form.
शबलकठोरमलिनं रूक्षं पाषाणकर्करोपेतम् 71.
Spotted, hard, impure, rough, and resembling the texture of stone.
यत्सन्धिशोषितं रत्नमन्यन्मरकताद्भवेत् 71.
A gem that is dried at the joints becomes another kind of emerald.
भल्लातकी पुत्रिका च तद्वर्णसमयोगतः 71.
Bhallataka and putrika are so named according to their color.
क्षौमेण वाससा मृष्टा दीप्तिं त्यजति पुत्रिका 71.
Putrika, when polished with linen cloth, loses its brilliance.
कस्यचिदनेकरूपैर्मरकतमनुगच्छतोऽपि गुणवर्णैः 71.
Some emeralds, though possessing many forms and qualities, follow the characteristics of emerald.
वज्राणि मुक्ताः सन्त्यन्ये ये च केचिद्द्विजातयः 71.
Diamonds, pearls, and certain other twice-born gems exist.
ऋजुत्वाच्चैव केषाञ्चित्कथञ्चिदुपजायते 71.
In some cases, due to straightness, a certain quality arises.
स्नानाचमनजप्येषु रक्षामन्त्रक्रियाविधौ 71.
In bathing, sipping, recitation, and the performance of protective mantra rituals.
दैवपित्र्यातिथेयेषु गुरुसंपूजनेषु च 71.
In rites for gods, ancestors, guests, and in honoring the teacher.
दौषैर्होनं गुणैर्युक्तं काञ्चनप्रतियोजितम् 71.
A gem, free from faults and endowed with qualities, is matched with gold.
तुलया पद्मरागस्य यन्मूल्यमुपजायते 71.
The value of the padmaraga is determined by weighing it.
तथा च पद्मरागाणां दोषैर्मूल्यं प्रहीयते 71.
In the same way, the value of padmarāga gems decreases due to their flaws.

From this, by inference, the land near the ocean, expansive and shining with the beauty of both, appears like the foam of splendid waves.

There are also flowers resembling the blue lotus, the neck of a peacock, the garments of the god holding the plough, the bee, the bow, the throat of Hara, and the reddish blossoms.

They are associated with the fear of earthen, stony, and rocky crevices.
तत एव हि जायन्ते मणयस्तत्र सूरयः 72.
From there, indeed, are born the gems, which are praised in that place.
