पूजां कृत्वा भूवराहस्य मर्तेर्दानं दत्त्वा श्रवणं चापि कृत्वा । तत्र स्थितं भूवराहं च दृष्ट्वा स वै नरः कृतकृत्यो हि लोके ॥ ३,२६.
After worshipping Bhūvarāha, giving gifts for the deceased, and listening, whoever sees Bhūvarāha present there, that man is truly accomplished in this world.
तत्र स्नात्वा भूवराहस्य मर्तेः शृणोति यो लक्षणं सम्यगेव । स तेन पुण्यं समुपैति देवि स मुक्तिभाङ्नात्र विचार्यमस्ति ॥ ३,२६.
Whoever, having bathed there, hears the characteristics of Bhūvarāha for the deceased, O goddess, attains merit thereby; and there is no doubt that he attains liberation.
ईशानकोणे श्रीनिवासस्य देवि रौद्रं तीर्थं परमं पावनं च । तत्र स्थित्वा रुद्रदेवो महात्मा पूजां करोति श्रीनिवासस्य नित्यम् ॥ ३,२६.
In the northeast corner, O goddess, is the fierce and supremely purifying tīrtha of Śrīnivāsa; there, the great-souled Rudra deity always performs worship of Śrīnivāsa.
हस्ताष्टकं तत्प्रमाणं वदन्ति तत्र स्नानं वैष्णवैः कार्यमेव । तत्र स्नात्वा प्रयतो वै मुरारेः कथां दिव्यां शृणुयादादरेण । स्नानं पानं तत्र दानं च कुर्याल्लक्ष्मीनृसिंहप्रीयते देवि नित्यम्३,२६.
Its measure is said to be eight handspans; bathing there is indeed to be performed by Vaiṣṇavas. Having bathed there with devotion, one should attentively listen to the divine story of Murāri; bathing, drinking, and giving gifts there always please Lakṣmī-Nṛsiṃha, O goddess.
बदरीफलमात्रं च वर्तुलं बिन्दुसंयुतम् ॥ ३,२६.
It is round, with a size equal to a jujube fruit, and marked with a dot.
देवस्य वामभागे तु चक्रद्वयसमन्वितम् । सुवर्णरेखासंयुक्तं किञ्चिद्रक्तसमन्वितम् ॥ ३,२६.
On the left side of the deity, joined with two discs, adorned with a golden line, and tinged slightly with red.
वैश्यवर्णं सवदनं पद्मरेखादिचिह्नितम् । लक्ष्मीनृसिंहं तं विद्धि भुक्तिमुक्तिप्रदायकम् ॥ ३,२६.
Of the Vaiśya class, with a face, marked by lotus lines and other signs; know that Lakṣmī-Nṛsiṃha grants both enjoyment and liberation.
एता दृशं गण्डिकायाः शिलाया मूर्तेर्दानं दुर्घटं विद्धि वीन्द्र । तत्र स्नात्वा श्रीनृसिंहस्वरूपं लक्ष्मीपतेः शृणुयाद्भक्तियुक्तः ॥ ३,२६.
These are the features of the Gaṇḍikā stone; know that giving the image is difficult, O Indra. Having bathed there, one should listen with devotion to the form of Śrī Nṛsiṃha, the Lord of Lakṣmī.
मूर्तेर्दानात्फलमाप्नोति देवि सत्यंसत्यं नात्र विचार्यमस्ति ॥ ३,२६.
By giving the image, one attains the fruit, O goddess; truly, truly, there is no doubt about this.
ईशानशक्रयोर्मध्ये ब्रह्मतीर्थमुदाहृतम् । दुर्लभं मानुषाणां तु स्नानं सर्वार्थसाधकम् ॥ ३,२६.
Between Īśāna and Śakra, the Brahma tīrtha is declared; bathing there is rare for humans but fulfills all purposes.
शालग्रामस्य दानं तु दुर्लभं तत्र वै नृणाम् । लक्ष्मीनारायणस्यैव मूर्तेर्दानं सुदुर्लभम् ॥ ३,२६.
The gift of Śālagrāma there is rare for men; the gift of the image of Lakṣmī-Nārāyaṇa is extremely rare.
स्थलमौदुंबरसमं तत्प्रमाणमुदाहृतम् । छत्त्राकारं वर्तुलं च प्रसन्नवदनं शुभम् ॥ ३,२६.
The place is said to be equal in size to an audumbara tree; umbrella-shaped, round, with a pleasant and auspicious face.
चणकप्रदेशमात्रं च वदनं समुदाहृतम् । सव्ये दक्षिणपार्श्वे च समयोः पुष्कलान्वितम् ॥ ३,२६.
The face is said to be the size of a chickpea; on the left and right sides, at the joints, it is endowed with fullness.
गोयूथवत्सवर्णं च चतुश्चक्रसमन्वितम् । गोखुरैश्च समायुक्तं सुवर्णकिणसंयुतम् ॥ ३,२६.
Of the color of a herd of cows, joined with four discs, adorned with cow hooves, and marked with golden spots.
वनमालाभिसंयुक्तं वज्रपुङ्खैश्च संयुतम् । एतादृशीं दरेर्मूर्ति लक्ष्मीनारायणं विदुः ॥ ३,२६.
Adorned with a forest garland and joined with thunderbolt-shaped marks; such an image is known as Lakṣmī-Nārāyaṇa.
कलौ नृणां तस्य लाभो दुर्लभः संस्मृतो भुवि । दानं च सुतरां देवि दर्लभं किं वदामि ते ॥ ३,२६.
In the age of Kali, the attainment of this for men is considered rare on earth; and the giving is exceedingly rare, O goddess—what more can I say to you?
ब्रह्मतीर्थे च संस्नाय श्रोतव्या वै हरेः कथा । गण्डिकायाः शिलायाश्च लक्ष्मीनारायणस्य तु ॥ ३,२६.
One should bathe at the Brahma tīrtha and listen to the stories of Hari, especially at the stone of Gaṇḍikā, which belongs to Lakṣmī-Nārāyaṇa.
लक्षणं यो विजानाति तदा तत्सदृशं फलम् । प्राप्नोत्येव न संदेहो नात्र कार्या विचारणा ॥ ३,२६.
Whoever understands its characteristics attains the corresponding result; there is no doubt about this, nor is any deliberation needed.
श्रीनिवासस्य तीर्थस्य पूर्वे स्यादिन्द्रतीर्थकम् । श्रीनिवासस्य पूजां तु कर्तुमास्ते शचीपतिः ॥ ३,२६.
To the east of Śrīnivāsa's tīrtha is known as Indra tīrtha, where Śacī's lord remains to perform worship of Śrīnivāsa.
शालग्रामशिलादानं कर्तव्यं श्रोत्रियायवै । शालग्रामशिलादानं हत्याकोटिविनाशनम् ॥ ३,२६.
The Śālagrāma stone should be given to a learned Brahmin; giving the Śālagrāma stone destroys countless sins of killing.
तस्मिंस्तीर्थे तु यो देवि सीतारामशिलाभिधाम् । ददाति भूतले भद्रे भूपतेः सदृशो भवेत् ॥ ३,२६.
O blessed one, whoever gives on earth the stone called Sītārāma at that tīrtha becomes equal to a king.
सीतारामशिला देवि द्विविधा संप्रकीर्तिता । पञ्चचक्रयुता काचित्षट्रचक्रेण च संयुता ॥ ३,२६.
O goddess, the Sītārāma stone is said to be of two kinds: one joined with five wheels, and another joined with six wheels.
तत्रापि षट्रचक्रयुता ह्युत्तमा संप्रकीर्तिता । पञ्चचक्रयुतायाश्च फलं द्विगुणमीरितम् ॥ ३,२६.
Among them, the one joined with six wheels is declared the best; the fruit of the five-wheeled one is said to be double.
कुक्कुटाण्डप्रमाणं च सुसिग्धं नीलवर्णकम् । वदनत्रयसंयुक्तं सट्चक्रैः केसरैर्युतम् ॥ ३,२६.
It should be the size of a hen's egg, well-polished, blue in color, with three mouths, and adorned with six wheels and filaments.
स्वर्णरेखासमायुक्तं ध्वजवज्राङ्कुशैर्युतम् । एतादृशं तु वै भद्रे सीतारामाभिधं स्मृतम् ॥ ३,२६.
It should be marked with golden lines, and adorned with flags, thunderbolts, and goads; such a stone, O blessed one, is remembered as Sītārāma.
वदनेवन्दने देवि सीतारामस्य कोशकम् । दुर्लभं तु कलौ नॄणां स्वसाम्राज्यप्रदं शुभम् ॥ ३,२६.
O goddess, the cavity of Sītārāma's stone is found in the mouth or on the face; in the Kali age, it is rare among men, but grants auspicious sovereignty.
इन्द्रतीर्थे महादेवि सीताराम भिधाशिला । या तद्दानं दुर्लभं तन्नाल्पस्य तपसः फलम् ॥ ३,२६.
O great goddess, at Indra tīrtha, the stone called Sītārāma is rare to give; its result is not attained by small austerity.
दानस्य शक्त्यभावे तु श्रोतव्यं लक्षणं हरेः । शालग्राम शिलादानाद्यत्फलं तत्फलं लभेत् ॥ ३,२६.
If one lacks the power to give, one should listen to the characteristics of Hari; the fruit of giving the Śālagrāma stone is attained thereby.
आग्नेयकोणे श्रीनिवासस्य देवि तीर्थं त्वास्ते वह्निसंज्ञं सुशस्तम् । स वह्निदेवः श्रीनिवासस्य पूजां कर्तुं ह्यास्ते सर्वदा तीर्थमध्ये ॥ ३,२६.
O goddess, in the southeast of Śrīnivāsa is the tīrtha called Agni, most auspicious; Agni Deva always remains there in the tīrtha to perform worship of Śrīnivāsa.
यो वा तीर्थे वह्निसंज्ञे च देवि भक्त्या स्नानं कुरुतेऽजं स्मरन्हि । ज्ञानद्वारा मोक्षमाप्नोति देवि तत्र स्नानं दुर्ल्लभं वै नृणां च ॥ ३,२६.
O goddess, whoever bathes with devotion at the tīrtha called Agni, remembering the unborn one, attains liberation through knowledge; bathing there is rare among men.
