महालक्ष्मीर्मातरश्च पद्महस्तो (दिवाकरः) 45.
Mahālakṣmī and the Mothers, holding lotuses in their hands, (and) Divākara.
एतेऽर्चिताः स्थापिताश्च प्रासादे वास्तुपूजिते 45.
These, when worshipped and installed in a temple or in a consecrated building,
इति श्रीगारुडे महापुराणे पूर्वखण्डे प्रथमांशाख्ये आचारकाण्डे शालग्राममूर्त्तिलक्षणं नाम पञ्चचत्वारिंशोऽध्यायः
Thus ends the forty-fifth chapter, named 'The Characteristics of the Śālagrāma Forms,' in the Ācāra section of the First Part of the glorious Garuḍa Mahāpurāṇa.

Now, in brief, I shall explain Vāstu, which destroys obstacles at the beginning of a house.
ईशाने च शिरः पादौ नैर्ऋतेऽग्न्यनिले करौ 46.
The head (is) in the northeast, the feet in the southwest, the hands in the southeast and northwest.
प्रासादारामदुर्गेषु देवालयमठेषु च 46.
In temples, gardens, forts, and also in shrines and monasteries,
ईशश्चैवाथ पर्जन्यो जयन्तः कुलिशायुधः 46.
Īśa, Parjanya, Jayanta, and the wielder of the thunderbolt (Indra).
पूषा च वितथश्चैव ग्रहक्षेत्रयमावुभौ 46.
Pūṣā and Vitatha, and both Graha and Kṣetrapāla.
दौवारिकोऽथ सुग्रीवः पुष्पदन्तो गणाधिपः ।। असुरः शेषपापौ (दौ) च रोगो।डहिमुख (ख्य) एव च ।। 46.
The gatekeeper, Sugrīva, Puṣpadanta, the lord of the Gaṇas, the Asura, Śeṣa, Pāpa, Daur, Roga, Ḍahimukha, and Khya.
भल्लाटः सोमसर्पौ च अदितिश्चदितिस्तथा 46.
Bhallāṭa, Soma, the two Serpents, Aditi, and likewise Diti.
ईशानादिचतुष्कोणसंस्थितान्पूजयेद्धुधः 46.
One should duly worship those established at the four corners, beginning with Īśāna.
मध्ये नवपदे ब्रह्मा तस्याष्टौ च समीपगान् 46.
In the center, at the ninth position, is Brahmā, and near him are eight others.
अर्य्यमा सविता चैव विवस्वान्विबुधाधिपः 46.
Aryaman, Savitṛ, and also Vivasvat, the lord of the wise.
अष्टमश्चापवत्सश्च परितो ब्रह्मणः स्मृताः 46.
The eighth is Apavatsa; these are remembered as surrounding Brahmā.
आग्नेयकोणादारभ्य वंशो भवति दुर्द्धरः 46.
Beginning from the southeast corner, there is a difficult-to-bear lineage.
नायिका कालिका नाम शक्राद्गन्धर्वगाः पुनः 46.
The presiding lady is named Kālikā; then come the Gandharvas from Indra.
सुरेज्यः पुरतः कार्यो यस्याग्नेय्यां महानसम् 46.
A place for worshipping the gods should be made in front, with a great kitchen in the southeast.
गन्धपुष्पगृहं कार्य्यमैशान्यां पट्टसंयुतम् 46.
A perfumed flower room, furnished with cloth, should be made in the northeast.
उदगाश्रयं च वारुण्यां वातायनसमन्वितम् 46.
A water room should be in the northwest, equipped with windows.
अभ्यागतालयं रम्यसशय्यासनपादुकम् 46.
A guest house, pleasant and furnished with beds, seats, and footstools.
गृहान्तराणि सर्वाणि सजलैः कदलीगृहैः 46.
All the inner rooms of the house should have water and banana-leaf shelters.
प्राकारं तद्बहिर्दद्यात्पञ्चहस्तप्रमाणतः 46.
One should provide an outer wall there, measuring five hastas.
चतुः षष्टिपदो वास्तुः प्रासादादौ प्रपूजितः 46.
The sixty-four divisions of the site are to be worshipped at the beginning of the construction.
कर्णे चैवाथ शिख्याद्यास्तथा देवाः प्रकीर्त्तिताः 46.
At the corners and at the top, the deities are also mentioned.
चतुः षष्टिपदा देवा इत्येवं परिकीर्त्तिताः 46.
Thus, the deities of the sixty-four divisions are described.
ईशानाद्यास्ततो बाह्ये देवाद्या हेतुकादयः 46.
Outside of these, beginning with Īśāna, are the deities and the causes.
अग्निजिह्वः कालकश्च करालो ह्योकपादकः 46.
Agnijihva, Kālaka, Karāla, and Okapādaka.
आकाशे गन्धमाली स्यात्क्षेत्रपालांस्ततो यजेत् 46.
In the sky is Gandhamālī; then one should worship the guardians of the field.
कृत्वा च वसुभिर्भागं शेषं बद्धा यमादिशेत् 46.
Having apportioned the shares with the valuables, the remainder is bound as prescribed by Yama.
यच्छेषं तद्भवेदृक्षं भागैर्हृत्वाव्ययं भवेत् 46.
Whatever remains, that is considered the residue; after taking the shares, it becomes inexhaustible.
