सुचक्राब्जगदाशङ्खयुक्ताय (हरिमूर्त्तये) 45.
To the form of Hari, adorned with the auspicious discus, lotus, mace, and conch.
शालग्रामशिलाद्वारगतलग्नद्विचक्रधृक् 45.
He who holds two discus marks, set at the entrance of the Shalagrama stone.
लग्नद्विचक्रो रक्ताभः पूर्वभागस्तुपुष्कलः 45.
With two discus marks joined, reddish in hue, and the eastern side is full.
स दीर्घः सशिरश्छिद्रो यो(ऽनिरुद्धस्तु) वर्तुलः 45.
That one is long, with a head-like opening; Aniruddha is round in shape.
मध्ये गादकृती रेखा नाभिचक्रो (क्र) महोन्नतः 45.
In the middle, a line resembling a trench, with a navel-like discus, greatly elevated.
अथवा पञ्चबिन्दुस्तत्पूजनं ब्रह्मचारिणः 45.
Alternatively, five dots—such is the worship for a celibate.
नीलस्त्रिरेखः स्थूलोऽथ (कूर्ममूर्त्तिः स बिन्दुमान् 45.
Blue, with three lines, thick—such is the form of Kurma, marked with a dot.
(श्रीधरः) पञ्चरेखोऽव्या (द्वनमाली) गादाङ्कितः 45.
Shridhara is marked by five lines; Dvanamali is marked by a trench.
नानावर्णोऽनेकमूर्त्तिर्नागभोगी (त्वनन्तकः) 45.
Of various colors, with many forms, serpent-adorned—such is Anantaka.
सङ्कीर्णद्वारकः सोऽव्यादथ ब्रह्मा सुलोहितः 45.
With a narrow entrance, let Brahma, who is very red, protect.
पृथुच्छिद्रः स्थूलचक्रः(कृष्णो) (विष्णुश्च) बिल्ववत् 45.
With a wide opening, thick discus—Krishna (Vishnu) is like a bilva fruit.
(वैकुण्ठो मणिरत्नाभ एकचक्राम्बुजोऽसितः 45.
Vaikuntha is like a gem, with a single discus and lotus, and is dark in color.
रामचक्रो दक्षरेखः श्यामोवोऽव्या (त्त्रिविक्रमः) 45.
Rāma is marked by a discus, the right line, dark in color, (and is) Trivikrama.
एकद्वारश्चतुश्चक्रो वनमालाविभूषितः 45.
He has one entrance, four wheels, and is adorned with a garland of forest flowers.
कदम्बकुसुमाकारो (लक्ष्मीनारायणो)ऽवतु 45.
He is shaped like a cluster of kadamba flowers; may Lakṣmī-Nārāyaṇa protect (us).
(लक्ष्मीनारायणो) द्वाभ्यांत्रिभिर्मूर्त्ति(स्त्रिविक्रमः) 45.
Lakṣmī-Nārāyaṇa is (formed) with two or three figures; (so too) Trivikrama.
(प्रद्युम्नः) षडूभिरेव स्यात् (संकर्षण) इतस्ततः 45.
Pradyumna is with six limbs, and Saṃkarṣaṇa likewise in various ways.
(दशावतारो) दशभिरनिरुद्धोऽवतादथ 45.
The Daśāvatāra (ten incarnations) is with ten (limbs); may Aniruddha then protect.
विष्णोर्मूर्त्तिमयं स्तोत्रं यः पठेत्स दिवं व्रजेत् 45.
Whoever recites this hymn composed of the forms of Viṣṇu will go to heaven.
(महेश्वरः) प्रञ्चवक्रो दशबाहुर्वृषध्वजः 45.
Maheśvara is bent forward, has ten arms, and bears the bull-banner.
महालक्ष्मीर्मातरश्च पद्महस्तो (दिवाकरः) 45.
Mahālakṣmī and the Mothers, holding lotuses in their hands, (and) Divākara.
एतेऽर्चिताः स्थापिताश्च प्रासादे वास्तुपूजिते 45.
These, when worshipped and installed in a temple or in a consecrated building,
इति श्रीगारुडे महापुराणे पूर्वखण्डे प्रथमांशाख्ये आचारकाण्डे शालग्राममूर्त्तिलक्षणं नाम पञ्चचत्वारिंशोऽध्यायः
Thus ends the forty-fifth chapter, named 'The Characteristics of the Śālagrāma Forms,' in the Ācāra section of the First Part of the glorious Garuḍa Mahāpurāṇa.

The head (is) in the northeast, the feet in the southwest, the hands in the southeast and northwest.
प्रासादारामदुर्गेषु देवालयमठेषु च 46.
In temples, gardens, forts, and also in shrines and monasteries,
ईशश्चैवाथ पर्जन्यो जयन्तः कुलिशायुधः 46.
Īśa, Parjanya, Jayanta, and the wielder of the thunderbolt (Indra).
पूषा च वितथश्चैव ग्रहक्षेत्रयमावुभौ 46.
Pūṣā and Vitatha, and both Graha and Kṣetrapāla.
दौवारिकोऽथ सुग्रीवः पुष्पदन्तो गणाधिपः ।। असुरः शेषपापौ (दौ) च रोगो।डहिमुख (ख्य) एव च ।। 46.
The gatekeeper, Sugrīva, Puṣpadanta, the lord of the Gaṇas, the Asura, Śeṣa, Pāpa, Daur, Roga, Ḍahimukha, and Khya.
भल्लाटः सोमसर्पौ च अदितिश्चदितिस्तथा 46.
Bhallāṭa, Soma, the two Serpents, Aditi, and likewise Diti.
