स्वाहास्वधासमायुक्तो वह्निस्तत्र विराजते । निजवाहनभूषाढ्यो निजदेवगणैर्वृतः
There, Agni shines, united with Svaha and Svadha, adorned with his own vehicle and ornaments, surrounded by his own divine hosts.
याम्याशायां यमपुरी तत्र दण्डधरो महान् । स्वभटैर्वेष्टितो राजन् चित्रगुप्तपुरोगमैः
In the southern direction is the city of Yama, where the great wielder of the rod resides, surrounded by his own attendants, with Citragupta at their head, O King.
निजशक्तियुतो भास्वत्तनयोऽस्ति यमो महान् । नैर्ऋत्यां दिशि राक्षस्यां राक्षसैः परिवारितः
Endowed with his own power, the radiant son, the great Yama is present; in the southwest, in the realm of the Rakshasas, he is surrounded by Rakshasas.
खड्गधारी स्फुरन्नास्ते निर्ऋतिर्निजशक्तियुक् । वारुण्यां वरुणो राजा पाशधारी प्रतापवान्
Nirriti, bearing a sword and endowed with her own power, sits there shining; in the western direction, King Varuna, holding a noose and resplendent, is present.
महाझषसमारूढो वारुणीमधुविह्वलः । निजशक्तिसमायुक्तो निजयादोगणान्वितः
Mounted on a great fish, intoxicated with Varuni wine, united with his own power and accompanied by his own hosts of Yakshas, he abides.
समास्ते वारुणे लोके वरुणानीरताकुलः । वायुकोणे वायुलोको वायुस्तत्राधितिष्ठति
He dwells in the world of Varuna, filled with Varuni maidens; in the quarter of the wind is the world of Vayu, where Vayu himself resides.
वायुसाधनसंसिद्धयोगिभिः परिवारितः । ध्वजहस्तो विशालाक्षो मृगवाहनसंस्थितः
Surrounded by accomplished yogis who have mastered the practices of Vayu, holding a banner, with wide eyes, seated upon his deer vehicle.
मरुद्गणैः परिवृतो निजशक्तिसमन्वितः । उत्तरस्यां दिशि महान् यक्षलोकोऽस्ति भूमिप
Surrounded by the hosts of Maruts, endowed with his own power; in the northern direction, O King, is the great world of the Yakshas.
यक्षाधिराजस्तत्रास्ते वृद्धिऋद्ध्यादिशक्तिभिः । नवभिर्निधिभिर्युक्तस्तुन्दिलो धननायकः
There resides the king of the Yakshas, accompanied by the powers of prosperity and increase, endowed with the nine treasures, the lord of wealth, Tundila.
मणिभद्रः पूर्णभद्रो मणिमान्मणिकन्धरः । मणिभूषो मणिस्रग्वी मणिकार्मुकधारकः
Manibhadra, Purnabhadra, Maniman, Manikandhara, Manibhusha, Manisragvi, and the bearer of the jeweled bow are present.
इत्यादियक्षसेनानीसहितो निजशक्तियुक् । ईशानकोणे सम्प्रोक्तो रुद्रलोको महत्तरः
Thus, accompanied by the chiefs of the Yaksha armies and endowed with his own power; in the northeast is said to be the great world of Rudra.
अनर्घ्यरत्नखचितो यत्र रुद्रोऽधिदैवतम् । मन्युमान्दीप्तनयनो बद्धपृष्ठमहेषुधिः
There, adorned with priceless jewels, Rudra is the presiding deity, fierce, with blazing eyes, and bearing a great bow upon his back.
स्फूर्जद्धनुर्वामहस्तोऽधिज्यधन्वभिराधृतः । स्वसमानैरसंख्यातरुद्रैः शूलवरायुधैः
With his left hand holding a resounding bow, he was surrounded by countless Rudras like himself, all bearing tridents and mighty weapons.
विकृतास्यैः करालास्यैर्वमद्वह्निभिरास्यतः । दशहस्तैः शतकरैः सहस्रभुजसंयुतैः
With deformed and fierce faces, mouths emitting fire, possessing ten hands, a hundred arms, and joined with a thousand arms.
दशपादैर्दशग्रीवैस्त्रिनेत्रैरुग्रमूर्तिभिः । अन्तरिक्षचरा ये च ये च भूमिचरा स्मृताः
With ten feet, ten necks, three eyes, and terrifying forms—those who move in the sky and those remembered as moving on earth.
रुद्राध्याये स्मृता रुद्रास्तैः सर्वैश्च समावृतः । रुद्राणीकोटिसहितो भद्रकाल्यादिमातृभिः
He was encircled by all those Rudras mentioned in the Rudrādhyāya, together with crores of Rudrāṇīs and the Mothers beginning with Bhadrakālī.
नानाशक्तिसमाविष्टडामर्यादिगणावृतः । वीरभद्रादिसहितो रुद्रो राजन् विराजते
Surrounded by hosts of Dāmaras and others, possessed by various powers, Rudra shines forth, O King, together with Vīrabhadra and others.
मुण्डमालाधरो नागवलयो नागकन्धरः । व्याघ्रचर्मपरीधानो गजचर्मोत्तरीयकः
Wearing a garland of skulls, adorned with serpent bracelets, with serpents for a neck, clad in a tiger skin, and an upper garment of elephant hide.
चिताभस्माङ्ग लिप्ताङ्गः प्रमथादिगणावृतः । निनदड्डमरुध्वानैर्बधिरीकृतदिङ्मुखः
His body smeared with the ashes of the cremation ground, surrounded by hosts of Pramathas and others, deafening all directions with the sounds of his drum and roaring.
अट्टहासास्फोटशब्दैः सन्त्रासितनभस्तलः । भूतसङ्घसमाविष्टो भूतावासो महेश्वरः । ईशानदिक्पतिः सोऽयं नाम्ना चेशान एव च

In the center, seated on the ground, are the sixty-four Kalās, each heroic, bearing various weapons, adorned with jeweled ornaments.
प्रत्येकलोकस्तासां तु तत्तल्लोकस्य नायकाः । समन्तात्पद्मरागस्य परिवार्य स्थिताः सदा
Each has her own world and is the leader of that world; they always stand surrounding the padmarāga hall.

The supporter of the three worlds, Sāvitrī, Gāyatrī, the goddess of the gods, Surūpā, Bahurūpā, Skanda's mother, and the beloved of Acyuta.
विमला चामला तद्वदरुणी पुनरारुणी । प्रकृतिर्विकृतिः सृष्टिः स्थितिः संहृतिरेव च
Vimalā and Āmalā, likewise Aruṇī and again Aruṇī; Prakṛti, Vikṛti, creation, maintenance, and indeed dissolution.
सन्ध्या माता सती हंसी मर्दिका वज्रिका परा । देवमाता भगवती देवकी कमलासना
Sandhyā, Mātā, Satī, Haṃsī, Mardikā, Vajrikā, Parā; the mother of the gods, Bhagavatī, Devakī, and Kamalāsanā.
त्रिमुखी सप्तमुख्यन्या सुरासुरविमर्दिनी । लम्बोष्ठी चोर्ध्वकेशी च बहुशीर्षा वृकोदरी
Trimukhī, and another with seven faces, the crusher of gods and demons; Lamboṣṭhī, Ūrdhvakeśī, Bahuśīrṣā, and Vṛkodarī.
