दीप्यमानो महाशृङ्गैर्वर्तते रौप्यसालकः । पारिजाताटवीमध्ये प्रसूनस्तबकान्विता
A silver hall, shining with great spires, stands there; in the midst of a Pārijāta forest, filled with clusters of blossoms.
दशयोजनगन्धीनि कुसुमानि समन्ततः । मोदयन्ति गणान्सर्वान्ये देवीकर्मकारिणः
Flowers with fragrance extending for ten yojanas in every direction delight all the hosts who perform the goddess's works.
तत्राधिनाथः सम्प्रोक्तो हेमन्तर्तुर्महोज्ज्वलः । सगणः सायुधः सर्वान् रागिणो रञ्जयन्नृप
The presiding lord there is said to be the resplendent season of Hemanta, accompanied by his hosts and weapons, coloring all the passionate ones, O king.
सहश्रीश्च सहस्यश्रीर्द्वे भार्ये तस्य सम्मते । वसन्ति तत्र सिद्धाश्च ये देवीव्रतकारिणः
His two esteemed wives are Sahashrī and Sahasyaśrī; there also dwell the accomplished ones who observe the vows of the goddess.
रौप्यसालमयादग्रे सप्तयोजनदैर्घ्यवान् । सौवर्णसालः सम्प्रोक्तस्तप्तहाटककल्पितः
In front of the silver hall, seven yojanas in length, stands the golden hall, said to be fashioned from refined gold.
मध्ये कदम्बवाटी तु पुष्पपल्लवशोभिता । कदम्बमदिराधाराः प्रवर्तन्ते सहस्रशः
At its center is a grove of Kadamba trees, adorned with flowers and young shoots; streams of Kadamba nectar flow there in thousands.
याभिर्निपीतपीताभिर्निजानन्दोऽनुभूयते । तत्राधिनाथः सम्प्रोक्तः शैशिरर्तुर्महोदयः
By drinking those golden streams, one's own bliss is experienced; the presiding lord there is said to be the glorious season of Śiśira.
तपःश्रीश्च तपस्यश्रीर्द्वे भार्ये तस्य सम्मते । मोदमानः सहैताभ्यां वर्तते शिशिराकृतिः
His two esteemed wives are Tapaḥśrī and Tapasyaśrī; rejoicing with them, he abides in the form of Śiśira.
नानाविलाससंयुक्तो नानागणसमावृतः । निवसन्ति महासिद्धा ये देवीदानकारिणः
He is endowed with various delights and surrounded by many hosts; the great accomplished ones who perform gifts to the goddess reside there.
नानाभोगसमुत्पन्नमहानन्दसमन्विताः । साङ्गनाः परिवारैस्तु सङ्घशः परिवारिताः
Endowed with supreme bliss arising from various enjoyments, together with their companions and entourages, they are surrounded in groups.
स्वर्णसालमयादग्रे मुनियोजनदैर्घ्यवान् । पुष्परागमयः सालः कुङ्कुमारुणविग्रहः
In front of the golden hall, measuring a muni's yojana in length, stands a hall made of Puṣparāga gem, with a form red as saffron.
पुष्परागमयी भूमिर्वनान्युपवनानि च । रत्नवृक्षालवालाश्च पुष्परागमयाः स्मृताः
The ground is made of Puṣparāga, as are the forests and groves; the rows of jeweled trees are also said to be of Puṣparāga.
प्राकारो यस्य रत्नस्य तद्रत्नरचिता द्रुमाः । वनभूः पक्षिणश्चैव रत्नवर्णजलानि च
Its rampart is of that gem, and the trees are made from the same jewel; the forest ground, the birds, and even the waters are of jewel-like color.
मण्डपा मण्डपस्तम्भाः सरांसि कमलानि च । प्राकारे तत्र यद्यत्स्यात्तत्सर्वं तत्समं भवेत्
The pavilions, their pillars, the lakes, and the lotuses too—whatever is found within the rampart, all of it is of the same kind.
परिभाषेयमुद्दिष्टा रत्नसालादिषु प्रभो । तेजसा स्याल्लक्षगुणः पूर्वसालात्परो नृप
This description of the assembly hall is given, O Lord, for the halls of jewels and the like; its brilliance is a hundred thousand times greater than the previous hall, O King.
दिक्पाला निवसन्त्यत्र प्रतिब्रह्माण्डवर्तिनाम् । दिक्पालानां समष्ट्यात्मरूपाः स्फूर्जद्वरायुधाः
Here dwell the guardians of the directions, who preside over each universe; they appear in their collective forms, radiant, bearing their mighty weapons.
पूर्वाशायां समुत्तुङ्गशृङ्गा पूरमरावती । नानोपवनसंयुक्तो महेन्द्रस्तत्र राजते
In the eastern direction, on a lofty peak, stands the city of Amaravati, adorned with various groves, where the great Indra shines in splendor.
स्वर्गशोभा च या स्वर्गे यावती स्यात्ततोऽधिका । समष्टिशतनेत्रस्य सहस्रगुणतः स्मृता
The beauty found in heaven is surpassed here; it is said to be a thousand times greater than the collective splendor of the hundred-eyed one.
ऐरावतसमारूढो वज्रहस्तः प्रतापवान् । देवसेनापरिवृतो राजतेऽत्र शतक्रतुः
Mounted on Airavata, holding the thunderbolt, resplendent and surrounded by the hosts of gods, the hundred-sacrificer (Indra) shines here.
देवाङ्गनागणयुता शची तत्र विराजते । वह्निकोणे वह्निपुरी वह्निपूःसदृशी नृप
Accompanied by groups of celestial maidens, Shachi shines there; in the fire's quarter is the city of Agni, resembling the abode of fire, O King.
स्वाहास्वधासमायुक्तो वह्निस्तत्र विराजते । निजवाहनभूषाढ्यो निजदेवगणैर्वृतः
There, Agni shines, united with Svaha and Svadha, adorned with his own vehicle and ornaments, surrounded by his own divine hosts.
याम्याशायां यमपुरी तत्र दण्डधरो महान् । स्वभटैर्वेष्टितो राजन् चित्रगुप्तपुरोगमैः
In the southern direction is the city of Yama, where the great wielder of the rod resides, surrounded by his own attendants, with Citragupta at their head, O King.
निजशक्तियुतो भास्वत्तनयोऽस्ति यमो महान् । नैर्ऋत्यां दिशि राक्षस्यां राक्षसैः परिवारितः
Endowed with his own power, the radiant son, the great Yama is present; in the southwest, in the realm of the Rakshasas, he is surrounded by Rakshasas.
खड्गधारी स्फुरन्नास्ते निर्ऋतिर्निजशक्तियुक् । वारुण्यां वरुणो राजा पाशधारी प्रतापवान्
Nirriti, bearing a sword and endowed with her own power, sits there shining; in the western direction, King Varuna, holding a noose and resplendent, is present.
महाझषसमारूढो वारुणीमधुविह्वलः । निजशक्तिसमायुक्तो निजयादोगणान्वितः
Mounted on a great fish, intoxicated with Varuni wine, united with his own power and accompanied by his own hosts of Yakshas, he abides.
समास्ते वारुणे लोके वरुणानीरताकुलः । वायुकोणे वायुलोको वायुस्तत्राधितिष्ठति
He dwells in the world of Varuna, filled with Varuni maidens; in the quarter of the wind is the world of Vayu, where Vayu himself resides.
वायुसाधनसंसिद्धयोगिभिः परिवारितः । ध्वजहस्तो विशालाक्षो मृगवाहनसंस्थितः
Surrounded by accomplished yogis who have mastered the practices of Vayu, holding a banner, with wide eyes, seated upon his deer vehicle.
मरुद्गणैः परिवृतो निजशक्तिसमन्वितः । उत्तरस्यां दिशि महान् यक्षलोकोऽस्ति भूमिप
Surrounded by the hosts of Maruts, endowed with his own power; in the northern direction, O King, is the great world of the Yakshas.
यक्षाधिराजस्तत्रास्ते वृद्धिऋद्ध्यादिशक्तिभिः । नवभिर्निधिभिर्युक्तस्तुन्दिलो धननायकः
There resides the king of the Yakshas, accompanied by the powers of prosperity and increase, endowed with the nine treasures, the lord of wealth, Tundila.
मणिभद्रः पूर्णभद्रो मणिमान्मणिकन्धरः । मणिभूषो मणिस्रग्वी मणिकार्मुकधारकः
Manibhadra, Purnabhadra, Maniman, Manikandhara, Manibhusha, Manisragvi, and the bearer of the jeweled bow are present.
