Men are knowledgeable in the Vedas, Smritis, and Puranas, and follow the proper seasons; there is not even a trace of unrighteousness, for dharma is complete in the Krita Yuga.
In Treta Yuga, dharma stands on three legs; in Dvapara, on two; and in Kali, only on one, after which all is lost.
O Brahmin, there are seven days, sixteen lunar phases, twelve months, and six seasons remembered.
There are two fortnights and two solstices; the day is divided into four watches, as is the night; a month consists of thirty days.
The year is understood to have five kinds, according to the reckoning of time; as they come and go, so do the four Yugas.
When a year is completed for humans and gods, day and night pass; when three hundred and sixty years have elapsed for humans, an age is completed.
The age of the gods is to be known according to the reckoning of time; a Manvantara for the divine is seventy-one ages.
The lifespan of Indra, O lord of Shachi, is equal to a Manvantara; when the twenty-eighth Indra has passed, a day and night of Brahma is completed.
When one hundred and eight years have passed, Brahma's fall occurs; then the natural dissolution is to be known, and the earth is unseen.
All worlds are submerged in water; Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, and others, as well as all sages and knowers, are absorbed in the true Self.
There, Prakriti is absorbed, and the natural dissolution takes place; when the natural dissolution occurs and Brahma falls, O sage,
The time of the Goddess is said to be but a moment, O sage; thus, all universes and Brahma's eggs are destroyed.
With the interval of a moment, creation again proceeds in order; thus, there are many kinds of creation and many kinds of dissolution.
Who knows the number of kalpas that have passed and will come? Who knows the count of creations, dissolutions, and universes, O Narada?
Who among men knows the number of Brahmas in each universe? Of all universes, there is only one Lord.
He is the Supreme Self of all, bearing the form of existence, consciousness, and bliss; Brahma and others are His portions, and the Mahavirat is also His portion.
A portion of her is the vast Virāṭ, and the minute; this very Prakṛti is supreme. From her, even Ardhanārīśvara was born.
She herself became Kṛṣṇa, manifesting in two forms: with two arms and with four arms; the four-armed one in Vaikuṇṭha, and in Goloka, the two-armed one himself.
From Brahmā down to the blade of grass, all is of Prakṛti; whatever is created from Prakṛti is all indeed perishable.
Such is the cause of creation: true, eternal, and ancient; the supreme Brahman, beyond Prakṛti, formed of its own will, and without qualities.
Without attributes, without form, eager to bestow grace upon devotees, by whose knowledge Brahmā, the lotus-born, creates the universe.

Endowed with great powers, all-knowing, all-seeing, all-pervading, the giver of all protection and all prosperity.
Viṣṇu, the Lord of all, glorious, by whose devotion and service; and Mahāmāyā, the Prakṛti, the sovereign of all powers.
She alone is called Bhagavatī, of the nature of existence, consciousness, and bliss; by whose knowledge, austerity, devotion, and service.
Sāvitrī, the mother of the gods, the presiding deity of the Vedas, revered by the twice-born who know the Vedas, by whose knowledge and service.
She is the goddess of all knowledge, supreme among the wise, worshipped in all worlds by their service and austerity.
She is the presiding goddess of all villages, the bestower of all wealth, the sovereign of all, revered by all, the giver of sons to all.
Praised by all, all-knowing, destroyer of all difficulties and distress, born from Kṛṣṇa's left side, the presiding deity of Kṛṣṇa's life-breath.
Dearer to Kṛṣṇa than his own life by love, Rādhikā, through service to Śakti, possessing supreme beauty, good fortune, honor, and dignity.
