Śrī Kṛṣṇa said: 'Remain for a long time, firm and steady; become as I am. Even at the end of countless Brahmā's lives, your fall will not occur.'
'By a portion of yourself, in each universe, you will become the lesser Virāṭ; from your navel-lotus, Brahmā, the creator of the world, will arise.'
'On Brahmā's forehead, eleven Rudras will be born from you, by a portion of Śiva, for the purpose of creation and dissolution.'
'Among them, one will be Kālāgni Rudra, the cause of the destruction of the universe; Viṣṇu will be the protector, and by a portion of Rudra, he will become the enjoyer.'
By my boon, you shall always remain endowed with devotion to me; through meditation, you will surely behold me, the beautiful one, at all times.
And you will see the lovely Mother, abiding upon my chest; having said, 'Go, remain in the world,' he vanished from sight.
Having gone to his own realm, he approached Brahmā and Śaṅkara, the creator and the destroyer, and addressed them at that very moment.
"The Blessed Lord said: Go, child, be born from the lotus of the navel; O great Virāṭ, listen also about the lesser one arising from the pore of hair.
Go, child, O Mahādeva, be born from the radiance of Brahmā; O highly fortunate one, perform austerity yourself for a long time, and also by a portion of yourself.
Having thus spoken, the Lord of the worlds became silent; Brahmā, bowing to him, departed, and so did Śiva, the bestower of auspiciousness.
Within the water-filled cosmic egg, in the pore of the great Virāṭ, there arose the lesser Virāṭ, now by a portion of the greater.
Dark-hued, youthful, clad in yellow garments, lying upon the waters as his bed, with a gentle smile and serene face, Janārdana, the all-pervading one, was present.
On the lotus arising from his navel, Brahmā, the one born from the lotus, appeared; having come into being on the stalk of the lotus, he wandered there for a long time.
The lotus-born one could not find the end of the stalk of the lotus arising from the navel; your father became anxious regarding the origin of the lotus.
Returning to his own place, he meditated upon the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa; then, through meditation with divine vision, he beheld that lesser one.
He saw him lying upon the water-bed, pervading the cosmic egg; and that cosmic egg within the pore of hair, and that supreme Lord.
He also saw Śrī Kṛṣṇa in Goloka, surrounded by cowherds and cowherd maidens; having praised him, he received a boon, and then performed creation.
From Brahmā were born the mind-born sons, beginning with Sanaka; then, from Śiva, the eleven Rudra portions are said to have arisen.
From the left side of the lesser one, Viṣṇu, the protector, appeared; the four-armed Lord dwelt there in Śvetadvīpa.
In the lotus of the navel of the lesser one, Brahmā created the universe: heaven, earth, and the netherworld—the three worlds, with all their moving and unmoving beings.
Thus, in each hair pore, the entire universe exists; in each universe, there are the lesser Virāṭ, Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Śiva, and others.
Thus, O Brahman, has the auspicious praise of Kṛṣṇa been told, which brings happiness and liberation; O Brahman, what more do you wish to hear?
Description of Sarasvatī's hymns, worship, protective charms, and more. Nārada said: By your grace, I have previously heard everything, pure as nectar. Now, please describe in detail the worship of the separate forms of the Prakṛtis.
Whose worship was performed by whom, and how was it practiced among mortals? By whom was she worshipped, who was praised, and by whom, O Lord?
Their hymns, meditations, powers, and auspicious deeds—by whom were boons granted to whom? Please explain all this to me.
Śrī Nārāyaṇa said: The mother of Gaṇeśa, Durgā, Rādhā, Lakṣmī, Sarasvatī, and Sāvitrī—these five are remembered as the fivefold forms of Prakṛti in creation.
Their worship is well known, and their power is supremely wondrous. Their deeds are pure as nectar and the cause of all auspiciousness.

Their aspects, portions, and auspicious deeds—I shall tell you all, O Brāhmaṇa. Listen attentively.
