काश्चित्संयोगविरताः काश्चिदालिंगने रताः
Some were abstaining from union, while others delighted in embraces.
प्रगच्छंतः कियद्दूरं ददृशुश्चाश्रमान्बहून्
As they proceeded a certain distance, they saw many hermitages.
रूपेणैव गुणेनैव वेषेण यौवनेन च
By beauty, by virtue, by attire, and by youthfulness,
त्रयस्त्रिंशद्वयस्याश्च राधिकायाश्च गोपिकाः
the gopikas of the thirty-three wives and of Radhika,
सुशीला च शशिकला यमुना माधवी रती
Suśīlā, Śaśikalā, Yamunā, Mādhavī, and Ratī,
चंद्रमुखी च सावित्री गायत्री सुमुखी सुखा
Candramukhī, Sāvitrī, Gāyatrī, Sumukhī, and Sukhā,
कालिका कमला दुर्गा भारती च सरस्वती
Kālikā, Kamalā, Durgā, Bhāratī, and Sarasvatī,
कृष्णप्रिया सती चैव नंदिनी नंदनेति च
Kṛṣṇapriyā, Satī, Nandinī, and Nandā as well,
अमूल्यरत्नकलशसमूहैः शिखरोज्ज्वलान्
Their peaks shone with clusters of vessels made of priceless jewels.
ब्रह्मांडाद्बहिरूर्ध्वं च नास्ति लोकस्तदूर्ध्वकः १८८. तदधश्च जलं ध्वांतमगंतव्यमदृश्यकम्
Beyond the cosmic egg, above, there is no world higher than that; below it is dark water, inaccessible and unseen.
श्रीनारायण उवाच पुनराजग्मू राधायाः प्रधानद्वारमेव च
Śrī Nārāyaṇa said: Again, they arrived at the main gate of Rādhā.
सद्रत्नमणिनिर्माणं वेदिकायुग्मसंयुतम्
It was constructed of excellent jewels, adorned with a pair of altars.
अमूल्यरत्नरचितकपाटेन विभूषितम्
It was embellished with doors made of priceless gems.
रत्नसिंहासनस्थं च रत्नाभरणभूषितम्
There was a throne of jewels, decorated with ornaments of gems.
द्वारं चित्रविचित्रेण विचित्रं परमाद्भुतम्
The gate was wonderfully adorned with various marvelous designs.
तानुवाच द्वारपालो निःशंकं त्रिदशेश्वरान्
The gatekeeper spoke without hesitation to the lords of the gods.
किंकरान्प्रेषयामास श्रीकृष्णस्थानमेव च
He sent attendants to the very place where Śrī Kṛṣṇa was.
द्वारे नियुक्तं ददृशुश्चंद्रभानुं च नारद
At the gate, Nārada saw Candrabhānu stationed there.
रत्नसिंहासनस्थं च रत्नभूषणभूषितम् 4.5.
He was seated on a jeweled throne, adorned with ornaments of gems.
तं संभाष्य ययुर्देवास्तृतीयं द्वारमुत्तमम्
After speaking with him, the gods proceeded to the third, most excellent gate.

नवलक्षेण गोपानां वेष्टितं च नृपेंद्रवत्
He was surrounded by nine hundred thousand cowherds, like a king among men.
तेभ्यो विलक्षणं रम्यं सुदीप्तं मणितेजसा
Distinct from them, he shone beautifully with the radiant brilliance of jewels.
द्वारे नियुक्तं ददृशुर्वसुभानुं व्रजेश्वरम्
At the gate, they saw Vasubhānu, the lord of Vraja, stationed there.
