O sage, the grove is filled with clusters of trees bearing sweet, fully ripe fruits.
With a thousand blossoming, fragrant flower gardens.
Resplendent with the playful activities of fifty million gopīs.
And joined by groups of cowherds and gatekeepers.
With hermitages inlaid with jewels, endowed with various enjoyments.

And with the foremost of attendants who had assumed the forms of Śrī Kṛṣṇa,
With the excellent hermitages of the gopīs, who were pure devotees of Rādhikā,
And with the most charming houses of those gopīs and their companions,
Those devotees on earth in Bhārata, purified by austerities over a hundred births,
Who, in dream, in knowledge, or in meditation on Hari, had minds absorbed, O sage,
For those devotees of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, there were dwellings most enchanting,
Adorned with flower-beds, garlands of flowers, and white chowries shining,
The gods, seeing that wondrous sight, joyfully went some distance away.
It was five yojanas wide and, O sage, twice as high upward.
Covered with ripe red fruits and adorned with jeweled platforms,
Clad in yellow garments, charming and absorbed in play,
There the lords of the gods beheld the foremost attendants of Hari.

Surrounded all around, O sage, with jewels of vermilion hue,
And furnished all around with jeweled pavilions constructed with platforms,

Adorned with clusters of plantain pillars, anointed with saffron,
And with vermilion and saffron, and smeared with fragrant sandalwood.
Surrounded by groups of gopīs, absorbed in playful sports,
Adorned with garments pure as fire, charming, with white chowries and mirrors,
Furnished with sixteen gates, guarded by doorkeepers,
Anointed with sandalwood, aguru, musk, and liquid kuṅkuma,
They went swiftly a certain distance and then beheld a beautiful sight.
Created beautifully by the goddess of the gods for the best among the gopīs,
