'He is the Lord of Brahmā, Ananta, and Śiva, the cause of the cause of the world.'
By worshipping whose feet, the supreme goddess of all becomes sovereign—
With a playful movement of his brow, Kṛṣṇa is able to create beings like you.
In Vaikuṇṭha, the service is to wash the lotus feet of Śrī Hari.
And Sarasvati, with praises sweet as nectar to the ears,
Prakriti, the power of illusion, fearful, the seed-form of all beings,
The Vedas constantly praise the sixteenth part of her greatness,
Brahma, the lord, creator of the Vedas, with his four faces,
Shankara, the guru of yogis, praises her with his five faces,
Shesha, with a thousand mouths, praises the Supreme Self, the Lord,
Dharma and Patā, the witness of all, the lord of the worlds,
He who dwells in Svetadvipa, Vishnu himself, the all-pervading Lord,
The gods, asuras, great sages, Manus, men, and the wise,
Quickly abandon anger and worship the lotus feet of Hari,
In but a moment, even Brahma can fall from his position,
Thus, the lifespan of the creator of the world is one hundred and eight years,
Hearing the words of Sridama, which were only harsh and blazing,
The queen of the rasa, going outside, spoke to him harshly,
Hey, wretch, great fool, listen, you servant of the wicked,
Your lord is Sri Krishna, not ours, O lowest of Vraja,
Just as the asuras and the gods constantly revile each other,
O cowherd, take birth among the asurīs of Vraja and depart from Goloka.
Having addressed her as the mistress of the dance, she lay down and ceased speaking.
Hearing her words, Śrīdāma, his lips trembling with anger, spoke: 'Your anger is like that of a mortal; therefore, you shall become human on earth.'
You will become so, without doubt; I have cursed you, O Ambikā.
On earth, the foolish wife of Rāpaṇa will call you so.
A great yogi, born from the womb by Rādhā's curse, will arise.
There will be a separation from Hari for you lasting a hundred years.
Having spoken thus and bowed to her, he went before Hari.
Then, in due order, she wept bitterly again.
